Got out of my book slump at last! Read 'Say you Swear' which took me a while to get into and was a bit too long-winded for my liking but hooked me enough to want to get to the end. And powered through 'The Catch' (the new one by Amy Lea) which I just loved- it reminded me a bit of the Tessa Bailey series about fishermen.

After flying through the TOG series I found everything else a bit of a slog. Really struggled with Penance by Eliza Clark and The End of Men by Christina Sweeney-Baird.
However, I started Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and I can't put it down. I'm just over half way. Any other recommendations by her? I know she's written loads so I don't know where to start

The Storyteller is probably my all time favourite.
A Spark of Light is worth a mention.
Salem Falls is probably my all time favourite.
As you can see from cill2019 and her recommendations which are different to mine you really cannot go wrong with a Jodi book.

Yes! I read it last month and loved it so much. Its a sad story given the topic but I loved how the narrative took us on the journey.

Following on with the ACOTAR adaptation chat, it’s been a few years since Hulu bought the rights so it could all be up in the air again. There’s been no news for several years now (I frequent the Reddit thread too
) I think the budget would need to be astronomical for it to be done well, but surely it would be popular. It’s one of the best selling book series in recent years!

after a 5 star read i’m fighting for my life reading this could be everything by eva rice. i remember really liking the loss art of keeping secrets but god i’m finding this dull. and she really really wants you to know that it’s set in the 90s too.
also really not into how the lead character’s grief induced agoraphobia is resolved about 80 pages in by an encounter with a cute boy
