Hi everyone. 
Not been on the book threads for a bit. Lost my mojo for reading lately! I've got three half read books on my bedside table, that I want to finish, but they're not page turners as such. So just not reaching for them.
However, went to my trusty Asda this week and as I've had a few days off, I picked up and read None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell in two days! And now powering through The Other Mothers by Katherine Faulkner.

Me also! I can't watch the Harry Potter films because of this - I got half way through the first one and it was a big "nope"!I never picture anyone famous or anyone I know in my head. It’s always just a complete random my brain has made up to sorta fit the description? I seem to be the odd one out there
I just finished City of Stardust. Prettily written, ending crap/plot confused. I’m learning I’m a definitely a plot driven kinda gal.
Currently listening to Lore by Alexandra Bracken which I’m definitely enjoying a lot more. I really enjoy Greek myths and I enjoy this is a bit more urban fiction. I feel like I have to read a non fantasy book next to cleanse the pallet.

I recommend Don't Make a Sound by David Jackson as it was absolutely gripping and had me on the edge of my seat. Plus it was one of my favourite reads from last year.

KL Slater has a good few easy thrillers which aren’t gory or scary.
John Marrs is also another good thriller with a twist author.
I also started reading more of Freida’s after reading the two above and am enjoying more of hers.
Then for a couple of random shout outs I’d suggest The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose and The Last Mrs Parrish by Liv Constantine.
Has anyone else seen the hype around Nuclear War by Annie Jacobsen? It’s been all over my Instagram reels with people recommending it (albeit warning how scary it is)

I can see why Hera grates on people but Arthur is the real villain for me I feel so sorry for poor Kate. I’ve got the actual rage about him taking his new baby to see Hera. I would fully get stabby with a knife if I was her and he was my head husband after struggling with infertility.

I finished The Teacher by Frieda McFadden. I feel like The Housemaid was actually pretty well written but then since then all her books have basically been the same. Is she writing them through AI or something? There’s millions of them - how is she churning them out so quickly?
