I purchased one of her books in 2016 and haven't read it yetHas anyone ever read anything by Amanda Prowse? She always pops up on my Amazon recommendations but I'm not sure if her work is up my street
I really, really need to work on TBR list.I’ve started reaching for thrillers when I need a quick, snappy read! For me, they’re easier to get me hooked and wanting to read “just one more chapter”.My reading is going quite slowly the past couple weeks. Picked up and easy read, 'This time next year' by Sophie cousens. God that was tit. And took me a whole week to read.
Now I'm reading Malibu rising and that's also going slow. Need to read something decent next
I finished My Name is Lucy Barton and started the next in the series, Anything is Possible. I’m enjoying the character development of those people mentioned in the first book, and how their lives intersected and continue to now that some time has passed. Some of it is heartbreaking but then, it feels so real. Like, that’s life, good, bad, beautiful, painful. I don’t know what it is exactly, but I’m enjoying Elizabeth Strout’s writing.
I'm the opposite I loved the book but DNF'd the series
Finally finished The School for Good Mothers after taking 5 days to get through it. It wasn’t really for me, although it wasn’t bad. I didn’t expect the ending.
I now have a few library borrows to get through, starting with The Way I Used to Be.

So happy you are enjoying it. I love those books, Lucy barton is such a lovable character to me.
I finished the Housemaid last night and gave it.... 2 stars 
The book picked up only about 70% in, but all the way through it was written like someone speaking. Meaning the writing was quite bad, perhaps this is why so many people prefer it and can read very quickly, but for me it was tedious to "listen to".
I'd definitely prefer this on audiobook instead of reading as I read whole sentences, but you really don't need to here

Nina's character at the start was so ridiciolous that I knew straight away something is up with her. The author went overboard, the same kind of crap continued for half of the book. I don't think there were twists and turns all the time at all...
Once the explanation hit at 70%, when voice changed to Nina and then changed back to Millie locked in the attic it was as if the author hit copy and paste on them. Two characters melted into one voice and I doubt it was made intentionally. I think the author struggled to really make these two characters vivid. They both behaved very similarly in the attic and if N had the spray then she'd use it in the same way.
Balancing 3 books on your belly hurts? I can't imagine it being worse then plucking out 100 hairs with roots. Andrew couldn't think of anything more interesting I guess he lost his form for sure.
The end was..... No.
By now we have watched enough of crime shows and docs that it was obvious his locking in the attic comes from his mother being a total bi*ch. It was the most "be shocked!!" ending but I was left looking like

And Enzo rejected Nina to go f around with Millie? Hypocrite are there no women around his area? 
However... I read all of it, which I can't say for a lot of the books. I'm a serial DNFer so this was good going. I liked how the style changed through Nina's chapters and these are the once I binged. They were interesting in set up and story continuation. I definitely cringed a few times at some of the attic shenanigans.

I've almost finished Daisy Jones and the Six - what a lovely, fast read. Probably the quickest I've read a book as an adult. Looking forward to the series now!
Interesting to see everyone’s views. I listened to The Housemaid on audible and enjoyed it, it was entertaining enough and I’ve got the sequel.
Daisy Jones & the Six was a struggle for me to read. I had to force myself to pick it up and found it so boring

I'm so glad I saw this recommended yesterday. Downloaded the audiobook and listened to the first hour on my journey this morning and I am really enjoying it!

I liked that they did make a few changes from the book to the series though. I also have a massive crush on Jessica Brown Findlay so would watch her in anything tbh.
I finished it earlier this month. I gave it 4 stars. I found it dark but also vulnerable? I enjoyed it alot.

I'm listening to the audiobook and the narrator is great IMO (and I'm quite picky). It's easy to follow even when I was driving into the city centre this morning which I sometimes struggle with for audiobooks.
I was a bit disappointed in it. I don't really know what I was expecting but it wasn't that!
Swimming In The Dark and Boys Dont Cry are both in the audible 2 for 1 sale. I listened to both last year and gave both 5 stars
