But it doesn't give someone a free pass to skip over things.
176k raised, new car literally days after, excessive spending from suites away, food out, in the middle of a pandemic.
She didn't disclose she'd keep the money for casual spending.
And we can't forget the sympathy donations given, straight after the babygrowgate
It was really what started the eye brow raising. I think because it was soooo quick and came with a big fan fare.
I'm all for someone having a good car when they travel for treatment and it wasn't a brand new car. I agree it wasn't something to be so outraged about.
In general it's turned me off from giving donations in future where there isn't a specific reason. This general 'living expenses' is very loose.
For someone who a cold could " kill " she sure was out non stop before lockdown ...Nobody is denying she's had cancer.

She was out in the pub a week before level 5 came in. We were in level 2/3 when we were only allowed meet 1 other household. But she met several friends for several pints, and food, substantial meal, that week.
She was away nearly every weekend aswell and then saying we cant book anything. Also shannen you said for people to DM and you would happily reply, well when you asked for advice with regard james hospital I sent you a very detailed message of where to stay and parking fees for cancer patients and it was all ignored , my husband was going through chemo there at the same time but it was all for show cos I dm her a few times and she never replied

If you have €200 to flog on a ring you clearly don’t need a go fund me
Yes, I also dm'd her as regards to recipes she wanted for smoothies etc. I gave her links to someone I follow in a similar situation, into smoothies etc. She couldn't be arsed.
Her q&as and queries for x or y are for engagement, nothing more.
It's not the go fund me itself of course they needed some help as facing what they were money worries was the last thing they needed. 50 grand would have seen them very comfortable for money for the year and not have to worry.
But to still share it and promote it after it hit 100 grand is just incredible. They didn't need 170 grand. That's my issue with it. No one ever said oh and the remaining money will be put to X Y or Z if not needed during treatment.
I don't think for one second she paid for it. It was definitely gifted.

200 for diamond ?? Not s chance. Single band diamond in leaves 2000. .
Nothing wrong with buying a diamond ring but if it comes from the generosity of poeple less well off I think its not fair .
Someone who is doing chemo and no financial support could use that 200. That's the issue.
Don't beg for money take it and buy material things

She's reading here now and apparently has said on her story tonight that anyone who DMs her about spending the go fund me will be told where it's being sent and her future plans for it...
And she thinks buying rings is a trivial thing.
Shannen, your partner is unemployed, and living off money kindly donated (€€€176k.) by people who could have done with the money themselves but wouldn't see you stuck.

You didn't address why you were out and about, wining and dining and socialising with numerous households when we were told not to. We stopped socialising to help you not get sick, but then off you go and do what we've been told not to?

If you look on the page she got the rings from they cost €55 each so that’s € 165 for all 3 rings! Just because it looks good when it’s first bought doesn’t mean it’s a real diamond ring!
Its a luxury that most oncology families can't do.
But it's definitely safer for him to be off when she has the transplant.
She has been through a lot at such a young age. But again I'm going to repeat something I've said before that doesn't give you a free ride to no criticism. I stand over the fact that it was greedy to continue the go fund me once it exploded to the level it did. She never acknowledged that it was too much. She made comments about treatment options abroad in the future if needed.
She isn't the only person over the last year my eyes have been open to go fund me accounts.
From now on unless I personally know the person I won't be donating to them anymore.
In the past I have given to so many and my issue is the lack of accountability on where the funding goes.
No other charity could raise such an amount without a follow up on where it went.
Rosie Connelly had a “cancer scare” and then sat back and watched her following go through the roof. Then she announced her new business which will be huge success thanks to the sympathy vote. Shannen did exactly the same with the baby grows. They have no shame and no moral compass whatsoever. If Shannen keeps that money she’ll have no luck for it. How she sleeps at night when there are folk with cancer worried sick about money is beyond me. She’s an absolute disgrace and so is her leech of a partner, what a bone idle excuse for a manThank god other people can now see through this. Previous threads were deleted within hours of starting.
It was so transparent....the week before the babygrows story, she tried to make a big deal out of being trolled and it didn’t gain traction. They were all jumping on the trolling that same week (twins and me etc. and Claire balding) and getting reshares.Then a week later the babygrow story. Didn’t believe it for one second that someone following her found her address etc. Any of my friends who live in estates, I never remember their house number ffs.
Anyway, that baby grow fiasco grew her following from 43k to nearly 100k in about a week thanks to everyone sharing it (MRS crying into her phone over it etc.) and then a week later the go fund me started by her friend.
Seems too calculated and coincidental to me.
When I was sick, my employers asked to start a go fund me and I said no way. Could I have done with some financial assistance? Of course. But I would never ask for charity like that unless it was absolutely dire circumstances. Imagine going out for a meal or getting your nails done and having people say “oh she didn’t need that money”. Shannen took the piss completely with all the hotel stays and the new car. Disgusting amount of money to go to one person. It should have been stopped at €50k maximum
She is raging there's a thread on her . Maybe people were screenshotting to her but I think this is the head in the phone situation . She does a lot of dodgy stuff outside that go fund me. She's another one trying to become an instahun eventually.
He can't even cut the grass or go grocery shopping for her
