Watching last night’s episode. Thoughts:

- I actually like Paul more this episode than I have so far.
- Task is just so badly edited.
- The girls are right about Dylan. He is coming across as controlling. I’ve not warmed to him.
- Noky is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. On a different note, I’m liking her more.
- Hallie has a mean streak.
- Jordan was really not happy with Matty’s answer on the would you rather. Seeing a different side to him.
- Poor Jenkin. Just leave him alone.
- I would lose my shit if people were fucking about in the bedroom at 3am.

catching up but what paul said wasn't even that bad lool literally just ask don't tell

also agree w chanelle, there's no need to confront someone if you're just a bit pissed off. venting, getting someone else's perspective etc just gets it off your chest and makes you feel less paranoid or irrationally bothered by it.
I agree. Paul said something like "if you don't like me just tell me". Who behaves like that? What kind of a weirdo would go up to someone and say I don't like you? For what purpose?! It's the "I say it as it is" dickhead mantra that would just cause unnecessary tension and confrontation.

I think they’re really wasting the potential of the cast. What was the point of throwing in the likes of Trish with men that clearly have problems with women and then not seeing the full context of their dislike for each other?

This season will be remembered for the Boatstopper romance at this point. Even Kerry seems to have fallen off a bit now after the chants

Hallie is growing on me slightly
I agree, and I think a lot of it comes down to the editing - we are clearly missing juicy bits.

I’m quite left wing, and I don’t want to sound like a Daily Mail reader but I do think a lot of this has to do with the more “woke” (ew hate that word) culture of 2023. ITV are scared of getting complaints (particularly after the way they handled Caroline Flack) and they know how quickly a series like Big Brother can attract complaints for bullying/racism/ sexism so we’re seeing a very watered down version of the house. Big Brother is not being as hard on them as previous (channel 4) series but they’re also not giving them that much to do. They’ve all had to go through sensitivity training before going into the house and have agreed to a code of conduct which also means housemates are VERY aware of how quickly they can be ejected for anything they do.

And times really have changed. I was watching the launch show for BB7 last night for some reason and this guy George went in and Davina listed his fears as “effeminate gay men and transvestites” - I was absolutely shocked! This was only 2006, can you imagine even thinking about saying that these days? You would be crucified! (And rightly so).

I have come to the conclusion that Big Brother simply cannot exist in the way it used to. If you look at YouTube videos that are like “all the fights from Big Brother 5” then you notice that there’s just so much that would not be in any way acceptable these days.

Is Jordan actually gay? I get the impression he’d shag anything with a pulse. I’ve actually grown to really like Henry. He seems really sweet and nice. Hope he doesn’t get his heart stamped on.

Makes me sad we will never have another moment as iconic as “David’s dead.”
I still watch that when I’ve had a bad day and need a good laugh.

The highlight for me is that they actually go and check to see if he’s alive. As if BB would just leave a dead body in the house 🤣🤣🤣

This is what happens when channels actually have a duty of care towards reality tv contestants, and check them out properly and make sure their mental health is fairly stable and give them access to adequate mental health support as well as guidance on what they can and cannot say - a pretty boring house 😂

I don’t think Big Brother works so well in 2023.

I've said it before but the tasks don't feel like any sort of endurance anymore. Just slick editing and they whip by then done by the end of the next episode. I remember when it was eviction night and some of them would still have to be dressed up for a task and it made it feel more of a divide between them and the real world. They also get so many 'treats' anyway it doesn't seem to matter which budget they win. I think they know that as to why quite a few of them were confused if they were even bothering making an effort with the task this week.
I also think we’re missing out on quite a lot of them sat round chilling because they’re always on the go, we never seem to get the wind down at the end of he day now.. its just task, a diary room chat, then episode ends. In the old days I feel ike you were constantly seeing them having little whispery chats in bed and things

It was smack talk

Chanelle picked all the boys
Olivia said it was sexist
Then Trish backed her up

And then Chanelle wanted to cry about it. But I think it stems from UNSEEN SCENES because none of this makes sense
Yeah, I feel like I’m watching a completely different program tonight, none of it is flowing and nothing is making sense because they’ve edited it so badly.
