She loves Lil P very much. She was badly messed about by the ex which created a lot of insecurity and she had many many dates afterwards that weren’t as fun and gal about town larks as portrayed. He was very keen to commit very quickly as he’s an acquired taste and older, so she found security with him that she hadn’t had before.
She is the main breadwinner which means she does a lot of solo socialising as Lil P can’t chip in.
The big statement about buying her own engagement ring was to cover up the fact he couldn’t afford one.

Thank you for coming here, that’s really interesting! Book advances aren’t very much for 99.9% of authors so no surprise the flat is bank of mum and dad (one of my friends is quite a well known “name” in comedy, and his advance was less than £10K)

I don’t have much to add but she’s a dick. I can’t stand these champagne socialist influencers who talk down to you about issues when they’re living the life of privilege but don’t even acknowledge it. I can’t stand her. Her and Danielle Vanier are both spoilt rich kids.

Re the solo socialising - I get the impression that as he’s working class, minimum wage and slightly older Lil P is a bit of a novelty act with the 30 something rich kids. From what my friend has said, if you aren’t from that background it can get very wearing listening to them talk about socialism and activism one minute and their bougie shopping habits the next. The self awareness only extends to what they don’t say on social media. I imagine he might only tolerate so much of that.
I think the CharlotteBHC unfollow was after Charlotte started sub tweeting about BR and her crew talking socialism and being broke one minute and then posting pics from mummy and daddy’s massive house or worse still second house in the country the next.
Might have that muddled with someone else Charlotte has beef with though! There have been many and they all move in the same kind of circles!
I just get the impression that Bert did't really socialise much beyond weird semi-work related influencer/social media kind of things and just a very small group of friends that she doesn't post much of anyway - either with or without Lil P and obviously he wouldn't go to the blogger-y events.
Funny what you say about her house purchase. I had assumed as much and there was a time before Lockdown etc that I'm sure I remember her posting loads about her family and she hadn't before. Maybe this was around the time of her purchase and she was trying to signal her gratitude towards them?
Charlotte always confused me, I don't know much about her but I warm to the fearlessness she has - the fact that her and Bert have seemingly fallen out wouldn't surprise me but I wish I knew why - I'd love to know because I think the reasons would probably reaffirm a lot of the reasons I dislike Bethany.
