Could she hint any louder that she wants to put her tree up now? She’s so desperately trying to get her followers to get her to decorate asap. She’s one of those people who needs to be told to do things so she can justify herself. I’m calling it, her decs will be up in October.

If over decorating your house is what brings you ‘joy’ you’re a very sad individual. So is she saying those who can’t afford to won’t experience joy? We aren’t skint, our house is decorated with 2 real trees (there’s 6 of us and we have a townhouse) that we replant, with about 20 classic baubles & a set of simple lights on each, we will make a simple decoration from tree off cuts and some simple ribbon, we will have candles & we will have our family ‘advent calender’ (a simple wooden countdown thing) along with a nativity scene (my 3 year old plays with) various hand made Christmas themed delights (by our 3 year old over December)
we will have lots of joy. Joy of family, joy of being thankful and the joy for the magic that is Christmas (Christmas films, music, food & drink) throughout December........any more and it loses its magic. You can enjoy winter without it being Christmas!!!!
She is one sad old cow who puts more emphasis on commercialism & super tacky materialism than she does the true meaning of Christmas.
