Clara doesn't annoy me quite as much as Jo but she is getting as bad too.

I didn't used to like Edith "back in the day" but I enjoy her covering for Jo (not as much as Shaun or OJ though) the only time I listen to that slot is when Jo's off

Update from Trevor Nelson on his instagram - good news he’s well and should be back on the radio soon.

So pleased to hear from him and that he is well, look forward to having him back but hope he doesn't rush himself.

Plus he's so patient with Jeremy, who I'm sure is being deliberately thick (as per his normal M.O) when it comes to the whole DJ thing.
Spoony also sounded a little pissed off today when they were talking.

I’m guessing Melvin Odoom might get a radio 2 slot, I didn’t realise he did cover over there. Wonder if Rickie will be off to a commercial station like Dev Griffith going to Heart when Radio 1 got rid of him.

I had to switch over this week, the Proms in Jo's place was terrible, though maybe as I was working I needed more sing along songs and I know Jo's show isn't jammed packed with songs.

I’m not sure how good Rickie would be presenting without a partner to bounce off. I wouldn’t be surprised if he concentrates on his gigs with Melvin for a bit- they seem to be doing quite a few recently. I like RMC. They’ve been revisiting their favourite moments of the show for the past week, and it’s made me quite emotional at times.

Hope Melvin does find a home at radio 2

Yes I really like Melvin when he covers for Spoonie etc, plays some great stuff and I love his voice.

Spoonie sounded really taken aback by JVs a) a lack of music knowledge and b) crass disregard for DJing as a skill when they chatted a couple of weeks ago, he sounded genuinely irritated then remembered he was on the radio !

I had to go onto Six Music this morning as I couldn't bear listening to people on Sara anymore. If I wanted to hear boring people telling me about their lives I'd go on the bus. Six Music was great until it got a bit angereee.

he is! i like melvin a lot (he was always the strongest of the RMC trio so i’m amazed radio 1 kept charlie of all of them) - he’s a really nice warm presence and i think he’s a perfect fit for radio 2 tbh. as said above, i hope he finds a permanent slot there!
