Shaun Keaveny makes me tune in, I'm not saying he should have drive time, I just want to show him some love. Very knowledgeable, plays some great tunes and him stepping in on sounds of the 70s has been very welcome! I do miss Liza on a Saturday eve though

Wow he's going to need lots of coffee tomorrow. I really like him so I don't mind.
He will be fine it's only one show between them. It's worse when Melvin does mid morning on Radio 1, 10 pm on Radio 2 and then back on Radio 1 about ten hours after the show ends.

He's just such a likeable bloke and a really bleeping good DJ. So glad he feels so well and can't wait to have him back on the radio! ❤
Preferred him on a night (ohhh matron) but he's OK in the afternoon. It's because his velvet soothing voice just works better before bed time to bring your blood pressure and heart rate down before a good 8 hours.

It's why Sara was better on drive time. You've been up ages, it's nearly home time and her energy picked you up for when you got home. It's not suited to breakfast when you want someone more chilled, before double Bolton with Vernon.

I really like him too, they don't use him nearly enough. I miss Liza so so so much it really upsets me every Saturday evening when I'm in and the penny drops that I can't tune in 😭

I hope not! I've really warmed to Vern.
Update from Trevor Nelson on his instagram - good news he’s well and should be back on the radio soon.
Oh fabulous! I'm so pleased to read this!

me either, I've hated her since she was on R1. Name dropper extraordinaire who always tries to position herself as an equal with the people she's interviewing
She's such a name dropper.
She did a programme not long ago on R4 about Sinead o'Connor. Honestly she talked more about herself than Sinead. How she felt listening to her music, how she felt each time she met her, all the special things Sinead said to her. All in that reverential soppy voice she adopts.
