The only annoyance is Ellie speaks more 
There's something very reassuring and calming about him(the total opposite of Sara
). I'm pretty sure too that it's because he's a familiar voice from my childhood and radio 1.
Not sure we need to hear the listeners calling in to sing though

Has anyone noticed how Ellie seems to be much more vocal on the shows with the fellas? I wonder if she's been asked by Sarah to be in the background or if she just gels better with the guys...

I’ve been wondering about this too. Sara must have said she doesn’t want that sort of vibe…by heck she needs it though. Was so glad not to have that noise game this morning.
Mistakenly switched on Radio 1 anthems. I think anthems should be used loosely but if you're looking for somewhere that plays a soundtrack to your favourite clothes shop in 2013 this is for you!

No idea! I liked the fact there wasn't much chat when I listened
I did the same a few weeks ago, I really like Sara, but listening to the public constantly is just painful.
It was so much better with Gary and the team this morning. They gel so much better with natural nattering and it’s all just so much more relaxed. When Sara’s on it’s like they are all too nervous to say much as Sara is meant to be the ‘funny’ one. The lack of kids in a car was outstanding. I pray to god that with kids going back to school they will kill that feature once and for all. Surely it will not work when all kids are just going to school!
The team combo on Sara’s show and the games and annoying noises just aren’t working. I’m guessing they will switch out Ellie once they’ve figured out a suitable replacement and when to then put Ellie as her and Sara aren’t working together at all.
I remember thinking Gary was so dry and dull after Scott was fired but then compared to Sara he’s so much easier to listen to and has grown on me a lot 🫣

Her name is Rosie. I assumed they came as a pair like Sam and Dani and weren’t put together for Radio 1. I’ve only heard them recently
Has the two presenters been a thing for a long time? I have never listened to BBC Radio shows with two or more presenters. I know Capital Radio have a couple of shows with 3 presenters, but I always thought that was a little odd. Why 3? It seems excessive. Does having 2 presenters make a difference to certain shows?

There has been so much comment about this across the board surely they have to review all the public input? And constant shout outs to members of the public?
I feel like it's when you get a newspaper or magazine and 80% is advertising with no actual guts to it.

Constant jingles reminding us it's FriYAY and people ringing in telling us of their plans for the weekend. It's like a children's party.Yeah - I said something similar on one of these threads a while back .... before he and Tess announced their divorce
On a separate note, I listened to the last half hour / 45 mins of drive-time yesterday and thought it was good; great mix of music and notably absent of banal stories from the *presenter or anyone calling in!
*I'm not calling Jason Manford a DJ.
