Ash, you could have parent friends who live near you, but have made absolutely no effort to meet anyone. She says it as if other people are so lucky to be in that position, but the truth is that the majority of those people have deliberately gone to baby groups etc., to build friendships and a support network. You have to make an effort, and it doesn’t just benefit you, it helps your kids learn to play/socialise with other kids.
