You are exactly right, some people are against it, I can't personally understand it, I mean if you had a toothache you would take medication so why not for depression & anxiety but each to their own. However that is their decision/choice for them but it's not for them to decide for others, well done on seeking further help for your self, hope your feeling/coping better now.
Yes good and bad days but also HRT helped as well strangely enough, I’m virtually off anti depressants now but don’t regret going on them

Yes it put yourself in the other mourners shoes, how would you feel if you’ve just buried someone or you’re even visiting someone that you lost years ago and that’s happening? There are people that would see that and feel intimidated and uncomfortable, so what they should miss out visiting someone they lost so you can throw a party at a resting site? I don’t see the people who lost family members in 9/11 throwing parties at the memorial, why? Because it morally isn’t right and okay
Totally agree.

Mourn and grieve as much as you like, but in private. If we all did whatever we liked when faced with tragedy, society would collapse.

Some people are against medication my husband for one his an hole sometimes but I do love him he thinks it’s mind over matter with depression and anxiety his not been there so he can’t really judge I have though and I actually didn’t tell him I was on medication for it which I needed I tried to get through it with affirmations and positive thinking but words and thoughts just aren’t enough
** weren’t enough for me I mean ***
Good for you. We are all different and have to do what’s right for us.

You know you are spot on here , I’ve never really thought about it like that, so people say leave them alone they are grieving when the party on the grave was mentioned, yet if they went out smashed a few cars or punched someone out of anger ( hypothetically speaking ) these could be excused due to grief.

I dont think mourning needs to be done in private. That seems a very outdated/stiff upper lip approach

Maybe not in private, but it definitely needs to be done respectfully and throwing a party like they did when Azaliya is not the only person laid to rest there, it’s not ok

They've got every right to grieve in whatever way they want. But other visitors the cemetery also have the right to visit loved ones graves without seeing 50 people drinking beer, instagramming, and dancing to All night long by Lionel richie.

I don’t know how they’ve got away with the flamboyance of her grave and the celebrations held alongside it. The cemetery where my dad is buried have removed Christmas trees and pergolas for example. It’s also locked up at set times during the seasons. I cannot begin to imagine the pain they feel but if I went to visit my dad and someone was practically having a party at the cemetery i would have to leave

The time will come where they’ll be told or forced to strip it back. Might not be for a little while yet but here we are

Because Az was so young when diagnosed with cancer, does that mean she was likely born with it??

I’ve just watched their interview on the foundation page and it’s emotional what it’s also made me think looking back at the videos played is that these two people actually didn’t get a chance to parent together properly most of their time was spent apart, parenting apart in hospital I think they’ve actually lost how to spend time together and be a couple it’s all been forgotten so grieving together isn’t happening when they are so used to dealing with things apart

I think she probably was

To be fair to them, the hotel will have been paid for by Lorraine's production if they were on tv this morning. Sliders - not important. I think the foundation could be fantastic and they’ll do some brilliant fundraising. With it being so raw and so well known, lots of people will want to support and do something to add to the funds that will eventually be distributed in whatever way they’ve chosen. I don’t think A&S will be taking a salary from it and if people are worried they can look at the accounts that will be made public around autumn 2022 (I think, could be year after)
Was just going to say this. I’m a nobody I’ve been on Lorraine and gmtv as it used to be, a few times and every time they pay for all travel and hotel

Can I just say I’m so glad this thread exists. I’ve been feeling like an awful person for thinking that the way they’ve been acting since A’s passing is distasteful to say the least. I mean there’s no “right” way to grieve the loss of a child but surely there’s a line and I feel like they constantly cross it. Idk it just unsettles me the way they’ve essentially capitalised on her illness and death. Non of it appears to be with the aim of raising awareness for childhood cancer but rather just them lapping up the attention and fuelling the grief porn. It makes me feel sick tbh
You said what im thinking tbh!

I guess it’s being allowed for the time being but I think you’re right
The sad thing is though, if she was just a “normal” baby who died of cancer, where her life and death wasn’t so public, would it still be allowed even for the time being?

One thing that really got to me was when some female relatives were holding A and they were dancing and singing. Saffy touched her foot and she immediately pulled it away. It broke my heart because it was as if she really wanted to be left alone as she was clearly starting to fade

I personally felt it was all a bit much in her final days. I understand it wasnt just Saf and Ash losing her, but there must of been times Saf just wanted to be with her daughter without her being passed around like a prop
