Absolutely not
I feel like this is why I can never feel comfortable supporting all this stuff, because so many children get diagnosed with cancer, so many children unfortunately loose their lives to cancer, however if they’re parents don’t have a following, they become just another statistic

I personally felt it was all a bit much in her final days. I understand it was just Saf and Ash losing her, but there must of been times Saf just wanted to be with her daughter without her being passed around like a prop
You could see she was starting to die. And the constant posting was heartbreaking tbh. I do think Saf would have preferred a more intimate time with her but then she posted a pic when A had quite clearly passed away

So many lives are lost that we have no idea about

She has said she won’t take medication and I bet that’s not her decision.
I get the feeling Ashley is obsessed with staying strong which means Saf will be made to feel she has to follow his lead.
If Saf shows any sign of depression or desire to take medication she will be made to feel weak. I think the best thing for her right now is to knock all the excessive exercise on the head, if she wants to stay in bed and cry all day she can and not be made to feel guilty about it and go and see a counsellor and maybe takes some meds for the anxiety.
Do you remember in the early days/weeks of Azaylias passing Saf would say Ashley dragged her out of bed stopped her from crumbling etc the past few months it’s been her brother constantly supporting her that’s when I saw Ashley in a different light

In her dying days it was hard to see her being passed around and being danced with. She must have been in pain and just needed some peace. My father in law had cancer and the day before he died we wanted to change his PJs and wash his hair, the nurse said it would be too much for his body to handle. He died the next day. I think the photos when she had passed should been kept private too allow A some dignity in death. It was heartbreaking to see her swollen and bleeding. My heart breaks for both Ash and Saf because they are broken and have lost their child but they both need some time to grieve in private. They will crash and burn at some point.

I just watched the video from Lorraine. Ugh. Their social media posts aside, I really feel for them. I have no idea who Ashley was prior to AZ so have no bias in that sense. They look like two broken and detached people on that segment. Ashley is obviously pouring his grief into training but I worry it will come crashing down. Saf just looks...so lost. I hope she knows it is ok to still be heartbroken and grief stricken. I hope she is going to be okay while Ashley is gone and that she has a good support system

Just watched Safs stories. She’s been driving all day… doesn’t ashley drive? poor girl must be absolutely knackered! Thank god for her brother man, clearly they are 2 peas in a pod - was so nice hearing her laugh for a little bit with her brother just then. All she does bless her is praise Ashley. Ash is doing this n that, I’m so proud, etc meanwhile its her brother supporting her & putting a smile on her face… 😞

Can't remember if this podcast was mentioned but I think they both come across quite well on this. Better than Lorraine.

There are also huge legal fees once it's set up before they can even start fundraising,I assume they have set themselves as trustees which means they need to take a wage too and their management will need to be paid, this is the basic level charity set up.i do however think that they have employed the best people around to help them make this successful and hopefully it will be huge.
Sorry this isn’t true, trustees are not paid it is a voluntary role and any mismanagement could see a trustee personally liable for any financial loss and prison time! There are not heaps of legal fees either, I don’t know why people keep saying that. It’s a lengthy process to become a charity and the charity commission oversee it all

I don’t think they are actually travelling together

I wasn't going to comment, but I need to. I lost my baby boy in 2009, I grieved so hard. I lost friends because I couldn't cope without speaking about him, I always saw signs from him, I looked for anything that would give me comfort. I wrote cards to family members and signed his name. Please just leave them be... Unless you have felt this pain you have no right to comment. Having been there I have never once looked and thought it's inappropriate how they are conducting themselves, the funeral and party looked beautiful to me... I wish I could have celebrated my boys life instead of feeling like I was ready to leave and be with him.
I’m so sorry x

Although I don’t agree with people slating them for the way they’re grieving, I will say that I think Saf deserves more, she is so so visibly broken & Ashley seems unbelievably cold towards her. How lovely of him to have had fireworks at the hotel last night knowing full well Saf was still travelling and would miss them? And why travel seperately? His kit was already there on arrival so surely they could’ve of gone down in one car together, it seems as though he wants nothing to do with her and it’s heartbreaking to watch, thankfully her brother appears to be amazing with her but sometimes it’s a different kind of love you crave x

If Ashley is away for 2 weeks, his absence might be a blessing in disguise! Saf might be able to do what she wants when she wants without worrying about what Ashley might say.
I hope the next two weeks gives her a bit of clarity and hopefully feel stronger in making her own decisions on how she should grieve for her little girl x

It seems as though she’s there too, but it appears from his story he’s probably sharing a room with his brother or alone it was all his stuff laid out on the bed not saffs, they were sat so far apart at breakfast too 💔

I just hope there’s more positives to their relationship than what we see. But I don’t know, they literally shared everything with Azaylia so I think saf would be recording him cuddling her or whatever. It’s even how he looks/acts around her. Yet I still hope that he’s a different man to her off camera although it’s highly unlikely!

It would be nice to see him be affectionate to her but maybe that’s just the dynamic of them and they aren’t like it in public?
They’ve already achieved some amazing things for people (the bone marrow list having the highest sign ups ever) and now to be financially helping other families when our system provides the bare minimum of less - that is amazing. He’s a reality tv star he knows how to work the beast for attention and spotlight it’s been his job but you can’t knock what he’s doing and Saf by default. I hope they don’t crash in grief and learn to cope and how they move forward together.

I’ve watched my parents grieve my brother I’ve saw my Mum admitted into a psychiatric hospital as she had delayed grief and had a break down I won’t go into more and it’s my families privacy and all I can say is that I’m so glad there was no social media back when he passed away. There’s no right or wrong way to grieve and there’s no time limit on grief, I’m so sorry for your loss, sending virtual hugs to you.

To be honest I actually wouldn’t put it passed some people this is 2

To be honest I actually wouldn’t put it passed some people this is 2021 it’s a crazy world
I agree with you. I lost my brother 15 years ago As a child to cancer and in the following years people who would never ask how the family were doing would post massive tributes on social media even though everyone in the family wanted it kept low key as it’s something we have to live with for the rest of our lives. My mother even mentioned it but people kept doing it. These were people who would literally ignore you in the street and barely had any connection to my brother. I dubbed them grief thieves. Anything for attention.
I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD, probably from holding it all in so on the flip side if Ashley and his partner - sorry I can’t recall how to spell her name and do not wish to be rude by mispelling - feel better in years to come by expressing themselves then power to them but I do hope they think twice about the overdone graveside and parties at the plot. Purely to be respectful to others who have lost family and now rest there.

I really hope things are different behind closed doors.
The podcast shared above is eye opening. It was actually Ashley who wanted to start a family in the first place.
