Also there is a difference between a “charity” and a “foundation” - A private foundation is a non-profit charitable entity, which is generally created by a single benefactor, usually an individual or business. A public charity uses publicly-collected funds to directly support its initiatives. The only substantive difference between the two is the manner in which funds are acquired. From what I can see it is “ The Azaylia Foundation.

Thing is though he is doing all these exercise for the foundation. So I'm guessing he's planning on fundraising unless he is maybe just doing it for awareness

You know what I still find weird, the insta pages people set up and share all photos of Azalyia and still do, I really wouldn’t like anyone using my child’s photos or family photos on an Instagram page whatever the circumstances

It’s awful enough in my opinion for her own parents to share them photos all of the internet, so for complete strangers to also be doing it is just crazy

I disagree with a lot of what is said here about how they acted before and after her death. I just think it’s nobody’s place to judge however it’s an opinion site so people will.

One thing that I have found horrifying during it all is saffiyas mum. She seemed to thrive on the attention of it all. On the Facebook page she added so many members as friends she used to tell people to add her. She gave out her work address which is in a hospital. The video of her and her sister dropping things off in azaylias last days was so spiteful and then continuing to post and argue and ag her daughter off whilst her granddaughter was having her final moments. Whatever you think of the parents what they were put through by that woman is unforgivable and if I were saff I’d never talk to her again.

I thought what they did was vile & filming it to, that Facebook group was a nightmare at the end & should’ve been shut down a long time ago, I know it’s dormant now but it should’ve gone the moment Ashley & Safiya made their statement.
I do stand by my concerns about them both though not out of nastiness but genuine worry & I will stand by my opinion of not agreeing with the party at the cemetery

I don’t have Facebook so cannot comment on her mother, I only have Instagram and just cannot agree with the way Azaylias life and death was treated by her parents, the over sharing things we shouldn’t have to see and the parties on the grave

My feelings completely. I think ultimately Ashley and Saff will be drawing on their support system and rightly so however said support system seems questionable. Saffiyaas brother seems amazing and very supportive. Obviously her mothers behaviour has been shocking but I was also gobsmacked at Ashley's cousins on Instagram. They were literally posing like instahuns at Azaylias funeral, one of them sticking their bum out and getting angles. Unbelievable.

Personally think they need professional counselling if not already getting it. Sponsored posts on Instagram could easily cover the cost of that many times over. I understand wanting to setup a Foundation in her legacy, I am imagine the accounts/salaries will be publically available so the business side will have to be quite transparent.
I do think the partying at the grave, the music and cars is in bad taste. Purely because that’s a site for sadly main child graves and no child is more important than another. It could be quite distressful for others greaving to be around that behaviour and to me Ashley especially is quite an aggressive, intimidating character (people are going to base their opinions on what they’ve seen of him in the past on reality tv) so those other families might find it hard to speak up.

I have a daughter that passed away 6 years ago. I chose to cremate her because in my head, I was thinking if I buried her, I'd always feel like I'd have to go there and could never really move away as I'd be tied there for life. With ashes, I can take them where ever I go. I haven't scattered them yet, I don't think I will either. I do have some of her ashes in a ring that i got made from Ashes to Glass I think they are called and honestly, that really helped with my grief. I felt like, even though she was dead, she was always with me as a small part of her is in my ring.

If I had buried her, and I went to her resting place and seen Azalia's resting place with all the family & friends, blasting music, etc - I think it is very selfish and very disrespectful to other mourners. There is nothing wrong with having a party for Azalia's first birthday at home. My daughter has been gone 6 years now and I still get cupcakes made, light a candle, etc. No one is saying they can't celebrate their baby's life, but can they be a bit more respectful to other mourners. Her grave looks like a shrine and I'm surprised it's all still there. Maybe they are paying someone to keep all the bits there as I know at a lot of resting places, you're barely allowed anything.

I don't follow Ashley anymore, I can't do it. He's so cringy and I always feel like he's trying to be one of those motivational speakers etc. He's also very "look at me, look what I've got" which is just weird. I respect him though for pushing himself to do all these fitness things - I just hope he takes time out for himself and lets himself feel what he's feeling. I do worry he's just burying his feelings. It's only been a few months since she's gone. He wants to be careful he doesnt have a breakdown.

Saf on the other hand. Thank god she has her brother that's all I can say. Her mom is something else and Ash doesnt seem very forthcoming towards her. But then, all we see is what they want us to see so who knows. Maybe he's very affectionate towards her when the phone is off. We will never know. I do wish them well though - losing a child is brutal. It's like this pit of emptiness that never really goes away, you just learn how to live with it.

Some of the cousins are awful! There was one who wore an off the shoulder dress with a split and big heels to the funeral.. posing away. I thought how distasteful. Have some respect!

That’s so tacky, I’d be mortified if someone I knew turned up like that!

I remember one story of Saf handing Ashley a plate of food one night after he had been out exercising all day and he didn’t move or blink, he was completely zoned out and looked like he was in a trance.

He probably was... Coming back to the house your daughter died in. You can see why he'd wanna be out all day.

I feel so bad for Safiyya I know you only see a small glimpse etc etc but there’s been times I’ve wondered if her and Ashley are even together any more. I can’t even begin to imagine losing a child and how you navigate that as a couple. My youngest was born a similar time to Azaylia and my heart breaks for them. Safiyya just seems so lost and alone. I want to just scoop her up and look after her. I think she looks a lot to Ashley for support even looks up to him and my impression is he’s not there. That’s just the impression I get. Like today having food and shopping etc she’s doing that with her brother and I just feel for her. Maybe she’s fine with that and I’m creating my own narrative. Thank goodness she has her brother. She just seems so lost and vulnerable and it’s heartbreaking to watch

Why does he spell Mum mom?
Nit picking but curious. The themed presents for his mum are
Too much. They will never forget their beautiful baby but they are turning her into a character.
Yep us Brummies say and spell “Mom” the posh ones say and spell “Mum” 🤣

I haven’t seen that comment, but that’s why I really disagree with them setting up their own charity, they 100% should have donated every penny raised for azalea to an existing children’s cancer charity as a lot of money is swallowed up setting up a new charity, not to mention he will be taking a big wage for running it! Which, I do hate to say, but think this is why he refused to donate it. If an existing charity received such a generous donation in the baby’s name, they would have honoured her & her legacy would be recognised that way, so don’t buy his excuse for needing a separate charity for this reason either! It’s just all about him & believe me I have first hand experience of this situation, my close friend lost his little boy & he does charity events/runs in his name but has never once made everything about him, that is not part of any grieving process I’m familiar with…….
Couldn’t agree more I thought this from the start! Ash seems to want to be constantly in the limelight and being in charge of a charity is just a constant money maker for himself (not saying money wouldn’t be raised for sick children) however like you said the money raised could of been donated instead it’s the Ashley show!😔

Wholeheartedly agree if this is how the money for has been needlessly used funeral then that is not ok. It is also not a what was said initially how the money would be spent. Which then leads me to think can anyone set up a go fund me which itself takes a percentage of money realised and is in fact just a clever business. But then can they set up a fake go fund me so easily if you are so easily able to spend it on something other than what was stated In the beginning. If all of that which I’m sure children’s funerals are government funded anyway? But if that was indeed all taken from the fund to save children then that is absolutely gross. And absolutely typical of the disgusting world of outdoing each other in the narcissistic world of Instagram. At this point the only thing that would prove where the money is, has,and will be used is receipts. Hopefully a full run down of this will be made as public as everything else has been.
Babies and children’s funerals arnt government funded however hospitals often pay for cremation or burial including coffin of an infant born at the hospital or baby/child passing away in the hospital.
It is then upto the funeral home if they want to add any extras. In my case the funeral director offered one free car to follow behind horse and carriage.
Flowers and anything thing els would need to be payed for by the family. X

Ok, so i've said it a few times but I lost my son at the end of last year.
His funeral took place in January and we had 30 people there (including us) then myself and my husband went back to my parents where we sat for the afternoon.
A few months later (when restrictions were still in place) this lot had their funeral and this absolute p*sstake happened.
There was no social distancing in the slightest. They had a PARTY for crying out loud.

The only photos I took on that day were of my babies coffin in the ground covered in roses and his funeral flowers.
It is so disrespectful of them to people like me AND to Azaylia to turn her day into a spectacle.
I don't understand how anyone can take photos like they did, dance like they did or drink like they did on that day.
Sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and love x

Has anyone thought about the fact that sharing their story on social media has got over 150,000 donors on the bone marrow register? Potentially saving 150,000+ lives?

Sharing their story is great - admirable, in fact, when it can have such a positive impact. That’s not what we have an issue with, as you’ll see from all of the posts above…
