I have a daughter that passed away 6 years ago. I chose to cremate her because in my head, I was thinking if I buried her, I'd always feel like I'd have to go there and could never really move away as I'd be tied there for life. With ashes, I can take them where ever I go. I haven't scattered them yet, I don't think I will either. I do have some of her ashes in a ring that i got made from Ashes to Glass I think they are called and honestly, that really helped with my grief. I felt like, even though she was dead, she was always with me as a small part of her is in my ring.
If I had buried her, and I went to her resting place and seen Azalia's resting place with all the family & friends, blasting music, etc - I think it is very selfish and very disrespectful to other mourners. There is nothing wrong with having a party for Azalia's first birthday at home. My daughter has been gone 6 years now and I still get cupcakes made, light a candle, etc. No one is saying they can't celebrate their baby's life, but can they be a bit more respectful to other mourners. Her grave looks like a shrine and I'm surprised it's all still there. Maybe they are paying someone to keep all the bits there as I know at a lot of resting places, you're barely allowed anything.
I don't follow Ashley anymore, I can't do it. He's so cringy and I always feel like he's trying to be one of those motivational speakers etc. He's also very "look at me, look what I've got" which is just weird. I respect him though for pushing himself to do all these fitness things - I just hope he takes time out for himself and lets himself feel what he's feeling. I do worry he's just burying his feelings. It's only been a few months since she's gone. He wants to be careful he doesnt have a breakdown.
Saf on the other hand. Thank god she has her brother that's all I can say. Her mom is something else and Ash doesnt seem very forthcoming towards her. But then, all we see is what they want us to see so who knows. Maybe he's very affectionate towards her when the phone is off. We will never know. I do wish them well though - losing a child is brutal. It's like this pit of emptiness that never really goes away, you just learn how to live with it.
