I personally never give to these type of online fund raising, because very often it just seems to all disappear into a huge black hole. And without sounding unkind, the NHS don't tend to withdraw treatment/go onto palliative care without having exhausted all opportunities. And the treatment options that become the miracle cure are usually private hospitals using experimental treatments that someone found via Google, and not through a medical professional. Several high profile cases in the last 5 years have fund raised to the tune of millions of £s but nothing has ever been made public about where that money went.........

I also need to word this carefully as not to cause offence...........I lost my son many years ago, and his ashes were scattered in the childrens area of the cemetery. I found visiting there a huge comfort in the early days, but we ended up having his memorial stone removed as some later additions seemed to attract large family gatherings like the ones mentioned. Graves appeared that were covered in tacky memorials, and it all seemed to be a bit competitive as to who could cram the most objects onto the plot. I wanted to scream that my son was trying to rest in peace, not be blasted out by loud music and people stomping around over other graves. It just all seemed so disrespectful.

Shocked how heartless some of you are. They haven’t used any of the money you can clearly see it’s still in the go fund me. Ashlie posted a few weeks ago saying every penny is going to charity. Criticising someone for setting up a charity in ho lie of their dead baby is pretty low. He may not have experience but he has a high profile and contacts hence why he was able to raise the money so quickly. Why shouldn’t other children with cancer benefit from this money. It’s his way of coping and would you begrudge him that. Honestly shocked at these comments.

Stunned at what the grandmother has shared.

I honestly wonder if she is going to post more....

Also, has anyone clicked on the link on her Instagram in her bio. Is there more to all this??
Petition for -

Provide more funding for stalking advocates for victims of stalking
This is a petition local in my area, it’s a genuine thing. A 22 year old girl was murdered by an acquaintance turned stalker. The local fb group contacting her about sharing the link as she has a lot of followers

Because he clearly loves the limelight and a more established charity would be a better way to ensure the money goes to actually increasing research etc. He is now famous for his child dying (I had never heard of him before, as other posters have said too)…. And that fame only seems to be growing. There is something very odd and off about it.

And if this sounds heartless so be it, but having a party at a cemetery is bleeping disgraceful and lacks any consideration to the other graves and the families who have lost. If you really have to be that much of a twit, at least keep it private, but no, these attention seekers can’t can they.

Are other children going to benefit from this money though and is this the best way for those children to benefit from that money? Could that money be better spent by an established and experienced charity?

I am not in any way doubting his intentions to do good in memory of his daughter but charities have obligations to those causes they take money for and need to be run transparently and fairly. It takes a lot of skill and experience to run charities properly (hence why CEOs of charities get paid so much money, they are literally running businesses dealing with huge sums of money that people have donated), good intentions won’t cut it.

FYI that go fund me is currently over a million pounds. That’s a significant sum of money that people (many of whom won’t have much) have given in good faith. What will it be spent on? That’s a fair question. If they want to set up a charity they’ll have to get used to a lot more scrutiny than a small thread on tattle!

Well once the charity is launched may be a better time to judge. I for one donated and couldn’t care less if they chose to spend the money to support them whilst healing. In West Indian culture it’s common to celebrate the lives at funerals in this way.

I don’t think any of us can comment about how we would do things or how we would act if god forbid our child died. They are grieving parents, dead behind the eyes. Their only child is dead. Cut them some slack

Why does the charity need to be launched before any of us point out that it may be wiser to donate the money to an experienced and more established charity for the same cause? Why potentially waste (literal) millions of pounds that could be better spent?

Intentions, no matter how good, genuinely mean duck all, and I mean this in the nicest possible way. I could have all the best intentions in the world, and really want to go to space and be an astronaut but you wouldn’t let me reach the karman line before suggesting it might be better to send Tim Peake, would you?

Exact same situation as TheNurseMum Kaytee. If this thread is allowed I’m hoping someone will restart one for her as I can’t?
Disrespectful to other grieving parents the way Ashley/Saf & Kaytee are by the graves and the GoFundMe pages need keeping an eye on

They had fireworks at jaxons grave the other night. Dreadfully disrespectful. Having fireworks for a passed relatives birthday is fine but not at a graveside!!! She has a garden or they could have used a park!!

There really should be rules about behaviour in cemeteries. Like hospitals. Often cemeteries are full of distraught family members visiting the graves of people they loved and lost. You wouldn't have a big firework party in the hospital, and it's completely inappropriate in a cemetery. Nothing wrong with marking someone's birthday, but visit the grave with consideration for others who will probably not be there to see music, dancing, balloons and beer, and have the party at home or at a pub. The graveside decorations and requests for freebies to mark important days like birthdays are so ott now. Where will it all end?

I don’t think it’s healthy that Ashley is out of the house morning til night exercising so much. How can they be financially supporting themselves? Their close friends and family mustn’t work if they can join him too.

I’ve just seen the post that her mum has posted, I think it is so inappropriate for her to be sharing those videos and photos of Azaylia in distress. Its not her place to be sharing those photos, if I were Saf or Ashley I would be so angry.
Same, I know Ashley and Safiyya shared a lot but what her mum has posted is highly inappropriate.
