Saw this on her mums FB.
Is she saying that the go fund me paid for the funeral?
That’s certainly what she’s implying, and that she didn’t want anything to do with it, hence she made her own way with her own money. Interesting!!

It’s obvious the mum doesn’t like him and doesn’t like the circus that’s been created. Obviously driven by him. Saf is like a rabbit in headlights and has been swept away in it all.
The post on her Facebook about nobody having their arm around her daughter is obviously aimed at the lack of affection shown between the couple & the narcissistic post is obviously aimed at Ashley, too.
The couples love has always seemed very one sided with Saf doing most of the donkey work. Sadly if the little girl hadn’t been taken ill, I think they would have split up

Safiya is like a rabbit caught in headlights I also find it quite sad that she really only replies to blue tick people or famous who comment on her posts, I know she doesn’t need or can’t reply to everyone but it’s just me nitpicking early on a Monday morning really.

I’ve only ever lurked on this thread, but I haven’t felt comfortable with how they have handled this from the beginning, it left a bad feeling in my mouth, I understand they wanted to raise awareness and that’s fine, but they could of definitely done that without exploiting their very poorly child. We didn’t need to see her slowly dying, the whole of social media didn’t need to see that, and they’ve put that out there and stuff stays on the internet forever. I know this isn’t comparable but my soon was rushed to hospital a week ago today, we very nearly lost him, he’s now been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, he’s only 3 and now I’m trying to raise awareness, and although I have photos of him in hospital sent by my partner because I couldn’t be there, I haven’t felt the need to post them to raise awareness, why, because they’re awful and not everyone needs to see that. My heart breaks for them, they’ve been through so much, however they really lacked basic respect and privacy for their daughter throughout the whole ordeal and that doesn’t sit well with me

I think the mum's post about spotting something wasn't right was during Azaylia's treatment when she was allowed home from hospital for a while and had to be re admitted. I agree, she is going about it in the wrong way entirely but I get the impression she feels shut out and is trying to prove that she was there even if she wasn't on Saf or Ashley's social media. Saf did post a lot about Ashley's family and their support when Azaylia was ill, and from her own mums post she was obviously still in contact then and helping look after her but you didn't see the same sort of posts, I guess the relationship could still have been strained.

I totally agree with others shocked at the extravagance of the funeral using the go fund me money. It puts me off donating when I see how badly regulated it is, if funds were raised for cancer treatment that is where they should go. Even an email to advise donators that some of the money will be going elsewhere and would the like to still commit to their donation would have been nice, I'm sure most people would have, but there were some donations of hundreds and then thousands of pounds who may have preferred to have their donation to have went towards another cancer charity or someone's direct treatment rather than a catering or fireworks bill. There seems to be no due diligence or follow up from go fund me on where these donations end up, I think anyone who donated has, at some point, has a right to see where the money has gone.

I agree totally, you see it all the time on social media with these instagram influencers when a child is taken to hospital, even for a minor injury, the phone is out straight away. Maybe it's a generational thing, I'm in my mid thirties and picking up my phone when anyone has to go to hospital or is unwell is the last thing that crosses my mind. I understand they wanted to raised awareness but in the end the wee girl deserved a bit more privacy without a phone in her face. I think they might have been carried away with the public attention and pressure though, a lot of people though they had a right to know about that little girls ever waking moment in the end.

When my son passed we set up a justgiving for the hospice he was at. We raised nowhere near what they have raised but the hospice still emailed to say what a big amount it was to THEM.
They could do so much good donating to an already existing charity.
Our sons legacy will be that we continue to donate to the hospice in his name. So will our family and friends.

agree with everything here. From what I read it seemed the mum didn’t contact them for a while after Azalylia being admitted?!?!

Hmm I’ve just been through saff and ash’s posts and it does seem the date Andrea posted the ambulance doorbell camera is the admittance where she was diagnosed with leukaemia the day after. They both (saff and ash) made a post saying they called the emergency services though which is probably why her mums so annoyed by the sounds of it as maybe her write up is true. Parents posting About parent intuition and that she’d been to the doctors 3 times prior to this admittance where “they” called emergency services” and it was just passed off as normal baby problems such as colic or a cold. Seems they’ve completely cut her mother off which is sad but I know if it was my mother or mil I’d never hear the end of it. I guess we’ll never know the true story. It’s a truly heartbreaking situation all round.

Why on earth does it have to be a competition on who called the emergency services first? It’s ridiculous. It’s very likely that they have been back and forth like they said being fobbed off with colic, reflux etc before the diagnosis. I had that in the early days with both my children being told it was just a phase, they’ll grow out of it. It makes the mum looks so much more petty, she’s going the wrong way about it completely and it’s all for public sympathy. If you were really interested in raising awareness, you wouldn’t have to do the passive aggressive digs and have comments that clearly make it obviously she’s been slagging off Ash and Saf. It’s their daughter whose died. They are going through the pain of losing their child. It’s their pain and hell everyday, and all the mum is doing is adding to their pain by causing more acrimony.

Exact same situation as TheNurseMum Kaytee. If this thread is allowed I’m hoping someone will restart one for her as I can’t?
Disrespectful to other grieving parents the way Ashley/Saf & Kaytee are by the graves and the GoFundMe pages need keeping an eye on
I’ve been wondering this too she has started advertising things again would anyone be willing to start one?

It’s not the right way to be going about it but Saf and Asif turned this whole ordeal into Public property. They also particularly Saf have been clearly posting constant digs at her whilst baby was dying. About how amazing Ash’s mom and family were/ are. They are clearly reading here too. The whole family bike ride thing with Ash being present finally, was clearly a dig at this site and her mom. They all need to grow up and bloody well give that money to the professionals that they are clearly not! Although I don’t agree with what the mom posted about getting baby admitted and diagnosed finally . I do think she is trying to point out that they lied. For what purpose I don’t know, but she is clearly voicing that Ash is not the person many think he is.

I think she’s pointing out they lied because he was making out so much we kept on taking our daughter back we noticed a bruise etc when in reality it was Andrea they got more precious time with Azaylia thanks to her spotting she was unwell while they were in Manchester hours away. It must have been awful for Andrea to be so consistent in Azaylia short life before cancer as in bringing saf home from hospital Andrea babysitting before cancer so only at a few weeks old, I wonder if Ashley and saff hold some resentment towards Andrea even maybe guilt they didn’t spot Azaylia was ill hence why their relationship has fallen apart

She only did what any parent or grandparent would do, why does she feel the need to play out this petty power play publicly and make the point that Ash and Saf were away in Manchester at the time? It doesn't reflect badly on them at all and yet she is posting these details in the hope that people will think it does.
She needs to ask herself why HER arms weren't around her daughter at the funeral. She has behaved despicably, particularly around the time Azaylia was passing away which is something that just cannot be forgiven. May she hang her head in shame, step away from attention seeking, address her point scoring and hopefully one day her relationship could heal with the daughter she has hurt so much.

I have nothing to say about Ashley or Safiyya's choices, just send them all the best wishes in the world as they are on a journey I thank God, know nothing about.
