Ashley really does my nut in with all this motivational shit. Acting all high and mighty, but everyone can see he’s cracking underneath. He’s full of shit like saying he avoided pubs etc but then was jumping about on a bar just days before and catched covid. his car is DEFINITELY not a cheap crappy car he tried to make out. The drone praying thing too pretending that it was “off the cuff” 🤢

I also felt like the videos they shared of Azalyia practically dying in front of people’s eyes were tasteless. The ones where they’re dancing round with her and her eyes are swollen and bleeding. Also found safs staring at herself in the camera while recording things was a bit creepy.

The funeral was way over the top, that money could of gone to better use then an afterparty 🤷🏻‍♀️ Like they could of used it for grief counselling.

I lost my son at the end of last year at only a few days old and everything about her 1st birthday didn't sit right with me.
We have an older son and take him with us to the cemetery where he plays. We once had someone shouting at us to take him somewhere else "as this isn't a park" because she was grieving for her son. We weren't even being loud!
Also, our cemetery closes at 6pm so I don't know if they requested to have it open later? A little strange if they have a home they could have had a celebration.

I get it, I do but I don't like all the photos, stories etc. Especially when she was in her last days.
We didn't share anything until my son had passed...

I know everyone grieves differently but I just can't get my head around it.

A few things I have thought recently:

- they don’t seem to have accepted the poor little girl is dead. I get they want to keep her memory alive, but people saying things like ‘she’ll only turn one once’ in response to the absolutely distasteful cemetery party are likely not helping. She didn’t turn one,yes it was her birthday, but she didn’t turn one. You’ll never be able to grieve properly if you don’t accept the person is dead. Not saying it’s easy, of course it isn’t.

- the cemetery party - no, just no. Have some fucking respect for the families also grieving their loved ones. Plus, it’s just bizarre, let’s be honest.

- the fact that they posted so much on social media obviously got a lot of attention but I am baffled by the amounts donated by people and how strangers are so over the top about the little girl. The sad truth is, babies die every day. It is awful. Parents all over the world are dealing with terrible things that will break them, change their lives forever, tear them apart in some cases. Far better to donate to charities doing actual research into child diseases rather than one being set up by someone with absolutely no experience in this field and who seems to be taking the opportunity to use every meeting as a posing opportunity. It’s madness. The other thing about it is that, very sadly, people will forget. Not her family or their friends obviously, but people on ig etc. The cash donations will stop at some point, it’s just how it is. Life goes on for everyone else, people just stop caring about people they don’t know.

the whole sorry journey of that little girls death is horrific, sadly though, they are now just turning it into a carnival.

as for the comment on this post - presumably the bench wasn’t painted orange to commemorate the death of Azalyia, it was just an orange bench. What next, see the oranges in the supermarket and decide azalyia is there too? Fucking hell.

The funeral was extravagant people travelled from all over the country to line the streets the amount of videos on tik tok were crazy, people taking their own children in buggies and filming their journey did these people do it for clout? I think some did yes. The big throne type Beckham wedding chairs for Ashley and Saf were way OTT

The only pic where azaylia had passed was ones where they are holding her. You cannot see her face and she has a bobble hat on her head.

I dont know why I feel so compelled to write this but here it goes. I dont know these people. But I followed the story of azaylia. She was beautiful. She was their life. Some days I couldn't stop watching because she was so strong and I really thought at times she was going to beat this. Some days I couldn't help but cry because It just smacks you in the face that a baby is dying. But babies are dying of cancer. Right now while I'm mumbling my thoughts on tattle families are going through this. And it's not something I ever truly realised before. I had never seen it. You hear about it but seeing it.......So I could have unfollowed and not watched the sadness. But I'm glad I did and I'm glad they did what they did because the awareness it created. Me and so many of my pals have registered now. Hoping we can help. I wish she could have been saved. I hope they do get the charity up and running and help others. If azaylia passing helps even one child. Then it was not in vain 😓

I used to follow them both but for my own trigger reasons I unfollowed when the poor child was in her last days and so much was shown on social media. I just looked at Ashley’s page and yes it’s ott but after what they have been through if that’s what they feel they need I’m not going to judge, however why is the go fund me still open you need to read down a long way to realise the poor angel has passed away but yet you can donate, if they are setting up a charity should the donations not be going through that? It’s just desperately sad for them it’s only been a few months.

I mean it’s all hear say but I seen this the other day and if it’s true their priorities were all wrong.
I think her mums friends need to be stopped from commenting these things. Even if that’s why they were away I imagine the guilt they have (if it’s true) is huge. Ultimately the poor little one had cancer and even if Saff and Ash were just up the road the outcome wouldn’t have been different. Child loss can cause major PTSD so I don’t think rumours by family/family friends posted online are helpful at this stage of grief.

I totally agree. Although Saf has all these family and friends around her, it comes across as she is very lonely. Even yesterday when it was only a few minutes before Azaylias time of birth she was in bed talking on insta, seemingly on her own. Where is Ashley to mark the moment of their daughters birth?

I also see Ashley on the verge of a breakdown. His eyes are void of emotion and always seem so vacant. I understand all this exercise is for the charity and a distraction for his mind. But I personally think he needs to stop distracting himself and to stop and just feel the grief.

I felt sad looking at the other graves in the background of their stories yesterday. It seems Azaylia has a very large plot in comparison and I wonder if it's for Saf and Ash to be eventually laid to rest there too. I know grief is so individual but I found all the balloons and music just too much for a graveyard. Visit her resting place with family, sing happy birthday and read her a few stories together. But the balloon display and music should be saved for home.

Their family should be telling them to take some time away from it all, but it seems they are fully encouraging these 50 mile daily bike rides.

It was encouraging to see that Saf had been considering therapy and it was so heartbreaking to see they got therapy when Azaylia was I'm hospital but have since received no offer of support since she passed. Hopefully family will be able to encourage Ashley to go to some form of therapy too, as I think it is what they both need.

Iv just watched Safs last stories where she's crying and the one person she needs that can give her a hug and say look, its ok, iv got you... is out on a bike ride soaking up all the glory. Poor girl man, she's really on her own.

I know it's not about the money and I only donated a tenner, I don't really care what they do with it. But the total as a whole was a lot of money and some people donated thousands. I know he has said that they are doing something with it eventually but it would be nice to get more of an update on what that will be. I know they used some for the wee girls funeral, it was quite over the top and it must have costs tens of thousands of pounds, I think they could have scaled it back a bit and still given her a lovely send off without spending so much money from the just giving. I'd have rather they donated the full amount to another child who is waiting for the same treatment, as many don't have the platform to raise that level of cash.

I cannot stand Ashley and this pure beggy behaviour. I feel like he had bad publicity during the Ex on the beach days due to his “bad boy” behaviour and now he’s been through something horrific he’s just used it to try and reinvent himself and garner positive publicity. He clearly gives no fucks about Saff otherwise he’d been with her every second of every day and not gallivanting round on his bike. Sure, do stuff for charity but surely that comes months or even years down the line and not when the grief is still extremely raw?

but no one has been mean? Saying someone needs support and that their actions could impact someone else isn’t wrong.
Maybe seeing it would give them a little perspective
I didn’t say anyone had been mean - I’m just unsure how they would gain perspective from the opinions of people who have never experienced the loss of a child. My little one is my world, I’d have no idea how to even begin to comprehend living without them. They’re trying to find their way through it - they won’t always get it right but there is no one size fits all method for dealing with the loss of a baby.

What I saw of them as a family was 2 parents who would have given absolutely anything they could to save their daughter’s life… and a little girl who fought her hardest to be able to stay with them as long as possible.

I’ve only ever lurked on this thread, but I haven’t felt comfortable with how they have handled this from the beginning, it left a bad feeling in my mouth, I understand they wanted to raise awareness and that’s fine, but they could of definitely done that without exploiting their very poorly child. We didn’t need to see her slowly dying, the whole of social media didn’t need to see that, and they’ve put that out there and stuff stays on the internet forever. I know this isn’t comparable but my soon was rushed to hospital a week ago today, we very nearly lost him, he’s now been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, he’s only 3 and now I’m trying to raise awareness, and although I have photos of him in hospital sent by my partner because I couldn’t be there, I haven’t felt the need to post them to raise awareness, why, because they’re awful and not everyone needs to see that. My heart breaks for them, they’ve been through so much, however they really lacked basic respect and privacy for their daughter throughout the whole ordeal and that doesn’t sit well with me

I just want to pick Saff up and give her a hug. She seems so alone and although she says on her stories that her and Ash are stronger than ever, he seems to always be with everyone but her.

Can I just say I’m so glad this thread exists. I’ve been feeling like an awful person for thinking that the way they’ve been acting since A’s passing is distasteful to say the least. I mean there’s no “right” way to grieve the loss of a child but surely there’s a line and I feel like they constantly cross it. Idk it just unsettles me the way they’ve essentially capitalised on her illness and death. Non of it appears to be with the aim of raising awareness for childhood cancer but rather just them lapping up the attention and fuelling the grief porn. It makes me feel sick tbh

Imagine selling bits of items in memory of someone else's dead child, to profit from and keeping all proceeds to yourself. I get that we all have mouths to feed and bills to pay but I believe there is a special place in hell for people that profit from the dead!

Is her Mum’s recent post about the huge salary charity CEO get a dig about Ashley??
I can’t work her out. You’d think she’d be doing everything to get back into Saf’s life.
I haven’t seen that comment, but that’s why I really disagree with them setting up their own charity, they 100% should have donated every penny raised for azalea to an existing children’s cancer charity as a lot of money is swallowed up setting up a new charity, not to mention he will be taking a big wage for running it! Which, I do hate to say, but think this is why he refused to donate it. If an existing charity received such a generous donation in the baby’s name, they would have honoured her & her legacy would be recognised that way, so don’t buy his excuse for needing a separate charity for this reason either! It’s just all about him & believe me I have first hand experience of this situation, my close friend lost his little boy & he does charity events/runs in his name but has never once made everything about him, that is not part of any grieving process I’m familiar with…….

The way he’s always called himself a “beast” also 🤮

Sorry , I’m all for Saf & the foundation but not him - like others have said the beggy & egotistical behaviour is too much for my liking
