I think she has as R has sone character toys. Of course, it will only be something like a film and absolutely nothing like YouTube. Rosie would have sat through the entire filn and then probably asked who directed it.

I've got to be honest, with my eldest we did no screen time until about age 2, and then just small things, even now she isn't allowed to watch more than about 30 minutes and not every day. Plus we don't have a tablet etc so no games.
However, I don't talk or preach about it, I don't think there's a right or a wrong way, that was our choice but having had a second child he's definitely been exposed to screens already! And I'm not sweating it, kids will be fine either way.

They do also seem to spend a lot on days out which is great if you can afford it but not doable for a lot of families.

This is something I think about often with Insta-mums. Obviously no matter how many kids you have you are never an expert, every kid is so different and we are all jus winging it. But so many instamums like this get on like they are God’s gift to parenting, sharing all their wisdom about their perfectly raised child…when they only have one and have no clue about the realities dealing with varying personalities and likes. what will she do if her second has no desire to sit and do these activities?

Not that you have to have multiple kids to know what you’re doing, but I do just wonder about people with only one trying to teach us how to parent as if they know it all. Like when supernanny used to tell us all how to parent and she had no bloody kids.

Yes and how Rebecca Wilson/What Mummy Makes likes to act like she's god's gift to weaning when she has weaned precisely one child who seems to be about as fussy as most 5 year olds.

It baffles me that you hear a lot these days that you shouldn't actively teach things in depth stuff like the alphabet, phonics, maths etc before them starting reception/school because they'll basically know it all and be bored during lessons......I get taking their lead and if they're showing an interest in reading/writing to do stuff but the depth R seems to know compared to kids her age is quite advanced so I can totally see her being bored when she can already do all that but her peers can't.

She needs to make it clear that R is not performing at an age appropriate level because she is basically being taught by a teacher rather than playing!

School will be like a BREAK

AS IF we don’t have enough pressure, we now have to panic that our 3 year kids aren’t writing and doing maths?!?

I must admit, a recent story she posted of a Christmas tree drawn on a box with holes for the baubles was a hit with Little Daffy.

I missed her Santa story but remember someone saying Rosie had a cheap plastic (or similar) toy that she loved.

That's what I think too. And frozen is not a new film so no way she's seen it in the cinema. It's just her story about how she's been tired this week so they've been doing calming activities. Most parents would just let them have some downtime! I always watch a bit of TV to unwind.

I could be thinking too much into this but I noticed from today's story, then I looked at some previous posts, but R's fingernails look like they've been bitten quite a bit?

As a recovered nail biter and looking back it was definitely an anxious thing that made me do it and it is said that's its quite common for people with anxiety/stress. I find it quite unusual for someone so young to be biting their nails?! Genuinely wouldn't be surprised the poor wee girl is constantly worried she's not meeting her mother's expectations.

I gather she bad upbringing so may struggle socially because of that. But then surely you'd think she'd do the best to make sure that her child doesn't grow up with the insecurities that she had/has. Yes R might be smart and ticking boxes "intellectually" but that isn't the only target in life.

I'll be very interested to see what happens to both of them once R grows up and starts being her own person.

I have some friends who are early years teachers and they really don't like other teacher parents. They say they are usually quite challenging at parents evenings, questioning the curriculum and stating their child should be at a certain level

Does anyone else find it extremely strange that she complains of having so much work to do, so sends R and Will to his parents on Fathers Day, yet spends the following 3 hours on Instagram answering questions and uploading the cheap boring tat she’s bought her R’s birthday!

Looks like Rosie moving up to the preschool room early. Will her social skills match her educational?

This is what I'm interested in too!! She is probably so used to being the focus of attention, it will be interesting to see how she handles a large educational based setting!

1. Oh God, sounds like they're planning to have another little prodigy... At least it might take the pressure off Rosie a bit and with any luck the second will be a no limits climber who likes to tear up books with their bare hands and stick alphabet tiles up their nose.

2. Do your own holiday research you lazy sod. What you've described there matches probably a million holiday destinations, just pick one and shut up. If you think you're getting a gifted holiday I hope you can think again.

More bragging. She can easily look on trip advisor etc but she wants everyone to know their plans. Yawn.

Que Rosie to be the perfect angel on the flight. I hope she acts like mine did. Horrific ear pain due to cabin pressure (all the kids were crying) massive dump just after take off and literally running riot. Was the worst 4 hours of my life but totally worth it for the holiday tho!!

We went to an AI Spanish resort all aimed at kids. They had the time of their lives just being kids. Yes it was chaos but it was their chaos and I also had so much fun. I was just a big kids too
