Woah, Alyssa being adopted is news to me? Nothing wrong with that, I’m sure she was given a great life by her parents.

It’s not rare in ethnic families to have a big age gap between the eldest and youngest child (my cousin is 30 and has a 13 year old brother, parents are in their 60s) so I just assumed that was the situation.

I wonder if her adoptive parents are related to her maybe aunt and uncle?

She took 6 years for an Associates degree? Witaf? Those are meant to take 2 years on average. What the hell was she doing for the last 4 years????

It took me several years to complete my Bachelors cause I was paying for school on my own and once I got hired within my field, I was able to have my classes paid for. I was also working full-time so everyone's situation is different.

Also she did mention about transferring schools which is a hassle in New York( SUNY AND CUNY are a headache)

Sooo happy I found this thread! I used to love AL and have watched her for ages, but lately I’ve been turned off by her. Been feeling like something about her is kinda fishy and cannot for the life of me understand how she is affording all of these bags.

On a side note, can anyone think of a reason why she hasn’t done an updated bag collection video yet? Literally on all of her recent videos, there is at least one person requesting it, so she obviously knows people want that content. Seems like she’s avoiding it?

Not that there’s anything wrong with a small collection of bags that you adore and use often, but going from 20 bags to 8 is going to be a huge shock for Alyssa. She’ll rustle up some deals with Farfetch and Rebag so she can purchase some SL, Chloe, and Celine bags to give her channel more mass appeal by end of H2 2022. I’m speaking with a handful of friends who are influencers, a lot of their community are over the Hermes freak show. For those of us who love the brand, we’re over the flash influencers who are poisoning the brand image. For people who were interested in specific bags from the brand, now that you’ve seen then trashed by these lame influencers, it has them thinking that Hermes isn’t as special as people hype it up to be.

I had no clue. And, moving to Spain?! I'm jealous. I love her aesthetic and she seems to have a great personality. I did find some things that kind of irked me digging through her Instagram...like she posted a picture of what looked like someone else's apartment and implied it was her place (I've seen a lot of people do this...which is crazy)...Or, maybe it was, but then why was her apartment at the beginning of her vlogs (before her move) so eh?... sorry I don't wanna be mean and call it a bad name...

also I find it kind of crazy that she wears more than 10k on her wrist and purchased a Kelly, Chanel Classic etc... but again, the apartment she lived in at the very beginning of her vlogs was in really bad shape. It was shocking to me. I just thought why not get a better apartment? I'm Asian myself and I've just seen so many Asians (esp in my country) go crazy spending tens and thousands on their credit cards just to keep up with an aesthetic and live in terrible housing...

I personally really like her, but I just hope she's being genuine and real like Michelle Choi. Michelle Choi is my favorite vlogger. She's so real and raw. I'd hate her to be like Alyssa and do things that feel and look like they're completely out of her means...but then again it isn't my place.

Having followed this thread for months, finally decided to create an account and post my 2cents. I used to enjoy Alyssa content, especially as I sort of found her from the financial diet you tube. It’s a great entertaining channel btw related to money management, public opinion, commentary on society, etc.
I thought she was a realistic reasonable person. Clearly not after the last year extravaganza of binging and purging. Which is exactly like bulimic btw but with shopping. Having seen her house and what she prioritises her money on, it’s just ridiculous. She could of upsized/ renovated four times over with the “In store” Hermes purchased. Let’s not forget all the other things she’s buys. All this buying yet none of it makes her happy, hence the constant re-selling of stuff.
She is not the only influencer who does this, one by one nearly every person I’ve followed goes into this vicious cycle of acquiring shit and they then try to flog it off. Champagne taste with a beer budget as my Dad used to say. Very interested to see what her wedding will be like, and if all those “peloton” classes were worth the effort!

“peloton” classes only work when your food intake is also in check... from what I’ve seen idk that hers is. But maybe the wedding has inspired her to eat healthier!

This and all the Lexus car loans! Why are they giving her a car to take to the Hamptons when she never drives it and neither of them have anything of value to say about the car/performance/specs?!
