I'm the exact same as you except I have nae brand loyalty. Whichever supermarket I'm next in when I run out, that's where I buy my knock-off Gold blend 🤭
Drank the Lidl version for years and thought it was decent for the price, though they're all much of a muchness - but depends how much of a coffee connoisseur you are @sevcive 😅
I miss the days when I could drink the basic stuff. The days before I was corrupted by hipsters.

First day of half term for us here & im trying to wfh (don’t tell my boss, no way I was paying for a full weeks holiday club for 2 kids when I am at home) I have two Lidl coupons on my app for a free cookie & a free baked sweet treat. Quick scoot to Lidl with my kids to pick up & then feed the ducks on my lunch break. Makes me feel a bit less of a shit mum today 😂

I pass by a Lidls and Aldis on the way to, and from, my newly begun job. It feels slightly dangerous but also good, especially in the run up to Christmas 👀

I’m trying to eat lower carb / stay in a calorie deficit where I can in the run up to Xmas (only because I want to an absolute pig over Xmas !!) For anyone interested, I picked these up at the weekend in Lidl. I always think chicken sausages can be pretty bland but these are nice. I think they were £2.49.

I just had a lidl app alert 'to celebrate random acts of kindness day we are giving away..' and then it vanished and I can't find anything in the app itself 😬. Did anyone see? Was it anything good?.
I got notified to say I didn't get anything 😂 Hardly kind 😂

I can’t cope with the Christmas ranges already being available like what is to stop me from buying things “for Christmas” and just eating them now. Please help. I’m guessing that’s why they stock it early so you’ll eat and rebuy but it’s just annoying when you’re trying to be in your healthy girl era 😂😂
I inhaled a full box of Ballycastle Truffles from our Christmas cupboard the other night. Need to stop buying Christmas stuff now until I do the actual Christmas food shop

I watched a programme called 24 hours in Aldi on Netflix last night. No huge revelations but it was quite interesting when they got into the psychology they use to make you spend more money.

more Lidl bakery specials!
I’ve just shown Mr Pecan this picture and he went “both please!” 😂😂 Looks like I’m off to Lidl in the morning.

Also if anyone is a fan of cheese twist straws I recommend the Snack Day packs from the XXL range. The butter twists in the red packet are delicious too.

I bought a cleaning spray from Aldi which sounded nice, natural ingredients and blood orange fragrance. Thought it'd be fresh and zesty but it smells like Terry's chocolate orange 🤣

I tried the merry munch knock off today (reindeer one) and thought it was really nice. It would have been even better with a bit of extra chocolate but for the price it’s decent.

Got two hazelnut spreads and two of the ice creams, Belgian choc and the vanilla / pecan one 😍
The pistachio spread was all gone 😬

can’t wait to get home lol
I couldn't see the pistachio one in my shop, so got the hazelnut one.
When I got home my husband told me I couldn't just stand there eating it with a spoon...he wasn't amused when I pointed out that if that was the case I'd just use my finger....

Don't like to be a Debbie Downer but mine lasted about a month. The plastic lid cracked then fell apart. :(
I made chips using mini potatoes, the chopper, oil, salt, garlic, peri peri salt and chilli flakes with the air fryer today… they were fabulous

If my chopper falls apart like yours I’ll get a more expensive one. It’s the tool I didn’t know I needed!

I know it's such a small life problem, but I'm so sick of everything continually getting shitter.
Shitter and more expensive because of shrinkflation! I’m very fed up with Aldi’s marketing strategy which now seems to revolve around “viral” fad products for social media influencers which are launched for a five-day window and are never seen again (frickles is just one example). I’ve switched to Lidl now because at least their app has useful coupons and their customer service is very good via WhatsApp.
