Her last vlog about the trip to Greenstalk is right at the top of the list of worst vlogs ever. What the hell was that? I've rarely seen something so uninspiring. Aside from flooring and feet, there was little to see.
What's the point of bringing Josh on a business trip if he's obviously unwilling to film? It would have made much more sense for him to film Becky instead of her just filming coffee breaks and her shoes. She says how great she is meeting other YouTubers whose seed-starting vlogs she loves to watch. Where were they? I didn't see any. No friendly chat for the camera, as is usually the case when "professional colleagues" meet up. Apparently, no one was interested in cross-vlogging with Becky. Not surprising.
This was truly a vlog of missed opportunities. It was so obvious that outside of her own four walls, she's like a fish on a bicycle. Does she even want to go on such trips? The invitation came six months ago, and until she arrived, she hadn't even looked at the agenda.
And can we please talk about her semi-formal dinner outfit? What the hell was that? I almost spat out my dinner in shock. Note to myself: never look at Becky during a meal again. I was already thinking about her inappropriate dressing during her last shopping trip—leggings, white socks, and those weird brown slippers—I wouldn't even take out the trash like that.

OMG yes, this was the WORST travel vlog I've ever seen. Does she go on 1 flight every 10 years because she feels the need to document the most basic things - look we checked in our luggage!
- So by Becky's logic, staying somewhere for a couple of weeks means you have lived there. I shall update my CV accordingly - I'll finally be interesting!
- Does she not rewatch her videos after she did the narration, because how can you not realise that you tell the same story multiple times - yes, the family all work for the company, they produce in the US, it took them 6 years to make a profit, the actual moulding is done at another company down the road, DollyWOOD!! FFS ...
- And everything is NICE. It's like when she goes shopping, points at everything and calls it nice but never buying anything (instead she orders online all the time)
- I think the only thing she was interested in was Buc ee's (yes, I had to look up the spelling), she spoke more enthusiastically about that oversized petrol station than she did about the company who sponsored the trip.
- All she ever does on those trips is driver around to get coffee and buy snacks.
- Her gushing over the amazing table setting - are you kidding me, there was a medium sized bunch of flowers in the middle of a table. Basic doesn't even begin to describe that one.
BTW. this is what you missed if you didn't watch the 6 hour garden compilation: It died, I replanted it, that one also died, I put another seed in the ground, everything is fantastic, I overcrowded this bed, I have no idea what this is, I put those too close together, abundance, blessed, overcrowded, need to water, soil lacks nitrogen, overcrowded, my parents come round to help me harvest, the end.
I am not even kidding.

There’s a Becky bundle available on green stalks website. It’s three hundred dollars for two towers. For a bit of plastic! I think thats expensive especially as you have to water them every single day. I’d rather have a pot. I agree how boring was the last vlog. I’d also have liked to see a few clips from the evening do. That evening dress was way too short!!
300 hundred dollars for plastic. I’ll pass. I’d much rather invest in a few raised garden beds made out of wood. I don’t see the hype with these green stalks especially if you have a large garden. Tiny balcony why not.

Over the past few weeks, she's simply thrown the kitchen compost onto the raised beds, and now the stuff is sitting there, uncorroded, and attracting all sorts of pests. She's already considering getting a composting solution for the patio. Apparently, the walk to the chickens is already too far for her. Josh is probably already looking for a sponsor for a compost partnership.
She's direct-sowing into the beds without weeding or preparing the soil. She'll do all that later, supposedly.
In the seedroom, everything's still the same. Extremely poor germination rate for the Snapdragons. The rest looks pretty dry. The cushions for the garden furniture still haven't found another place. The dehydrators she wanted to sell or move to the basement are still there.
She calls Josh to set the timers for the grow lights. He seems a bit overwhelmed by the state of the room, standing around completely aimlessly, almost making you feel sorry for him.
I don't understand her lighting schedule either – she wants to give the seedlings 24-hour light without a dark period. I think she's realized by now that she's a bit late for some things. But that won't do her any favors. In my opinion, the most important things in gardening are passion and patience, neither of which she possesses.
Her seed boxes are also in quite a mess, with everything just thrown in. I'm almost guessing she'll buy quite a few plants this year, because she clearly lacks the ambition to nurture and care for baby plants.
I'm wondering if the dynamic and mood of her vlogs has changed, or if I'm just perceiving her differently. But for the past few months, I've found something strangely off about her. Or is it just me? I don't know.

And that's why her soil is such poor quality. A lot of work should go into beds in the autumn, including burying some kitchen waste, especially in next year's pumpkin beds, or egg shells for tomato beds.
I think she isn't aware how long it takes for kitchen scraps to break down.
Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't it also be a smart idea to let the chicken roam the garden once harvest is done - as acleanup crew and for some manure?
I think her seed starting has never been that unorganised. And still, her onions look better than mine
I get the impression she’d rather be in the kitchen cooking. Well do that then!! For me gardening is a hobby. I don’t take it seriously and I’m a bit hit and miss. But I do start my plants indoors. I have a small garden and I don’t really amend the soil. This year all I’ve done is put an extra bag of what the garden centre label as vegetable and raised bed compost in my beds. My gardening is hit and miss some things do better than others! I think she may change her posting schedule from every other day?
Of course, it's a good idea – many flower / veggie farmers or home growers let their chickens out into the beds or tunnels after the harvest.
Natural pest control, cleanup and direct fertilization. Apparently, they don't spread the chicken manure on the beds either; it would also be a great fertilizer, and it's free.
Shame on your onions, what's the problem?
I wonder if it was such a good idea for Josh to quit his day job (or wasn't that his own decision?).
I think before, they paid the bills from his salary, and what Becky did with YouTube was (her) extra money—and she certainly needs a lot of it, because she seems to really enjoy shopping. And with what was left over, they could go on vacation or do gardening projects, etc.
Now, YouTube/social media is their main source of income, and what was once a hobby has become their livelihood. It seems to me that this has completely changed the mood and the dynamic between them.
I can't imagine Becky getting a regular job again, and whether Josh will be content being a YouTuber husband in the long run, who knows.
I have seen her throw compost onto the beds quite a few times and as weird as I found that, it drives me crazy that she just throws yard waste over the fence. What kind of system is that? Wouldn't it attract bugs and pests and look terrible?
I have wondered what it does to a guy's ego to work for their wife. How many influencers have had a similar situation and ultimately divorced.

I've just looked up the compost bin she is eyeing up and what a waste of money ($999 btw) that would be. The video on their site is very misleading, if you ask me.

And it doesn't really produce compost, it just chops up and somewhat dehydrates the kitchen scraps. Like a garbage disposer box. They even admit it on the website - its a food recycler, not a composter.
Get yourself couple of composter Daleks, love.

When she’s got all that land to put a proper compost bin why does she need one in her kitchen? Is she that be lazy that she can’t trot down there every day with her waste?
I watched her video yesterday and the title said "Very Sad Update" so I am thinking maybe a dog died, or chickens. But, no it was bees. Maybe I am heartless but I think that's a bit dramatic for the death of insects.
Typical Becky, overdramatic, and also nothing new; she said a few weeks ago that the bees had rehomed themselves, but now they're supposed to be dead—how does she know?
Her fruit trees also desperately needed pruning in the spring; they've been severely neglected. But too late now.
And more constant advertising for the Greenstalks, though more of a deterrent, because her strawberry plants look pathetic. Mine are nice and bushy and already have their first blossoms, even though we're still having night frosts.
It was also hilarious how she drove around to get doormats and cushions for the garden furniture, and none of them fit. She tells every story, like the staging of her previous house, at least three times per vlog. And if I hear again that she wants to learn the skill to decorate beautifully, I'll start screaming, yeah. First of all, she has absolutely no taste and a bad eye for shapes and colors. Looking for inspiration on Pinterest is certainly not a bad idea, but it's better to do it before buying a bunch of unsuitable things. I wonder how many months it will take her to return the items or whether she'll just put them in storage.

I was so bored when she was setting the Greenstalks up. I agree her strawberries don't look good. I also think she is way too rough on her plants. I know she has been told this before but just like everything else she doesn't listen.
I was getting extremely annoyed at all the times she repeats herself. It wasn't interesting the first time! I had to keep fast-forwarding.
She went to all those shops with all those things in them and ended up buying cushions that didn’t fit. I was literally shouting at her in my head don’t buy the green ones buy the first ones she picked. She procrastinates so much that she either doesn’t buy anything or buys the wrong thing!!

Losing a hive can happen to the most experienced keepers, but I think here its a clear sign that Josh doesn't really know what he is doing yet. I also think they chose the wrong location for the boxes and should've placed them in a more sheltered spot, at the edge of that little forrest for example, or inside the fenced garden.
