Lately, she's been saying she feels overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with her daily planning, overwhelmed with sowing seeds, overwhelmed with doing laundry. Is she heading for burnout? Or is this simply a ploy to gain sympathy?
She bought seeds for at least five years, but she doesn't seem to be getting much traction when it comes to the garden. Half my house is already full of seedlings and everything in the garden has been pruned and prepared for the gardening season.
Did anyone watch the olive oil tasting live? I really can't put myself through that.

It was exactly what you'd expect: She told her olive oil story AGAIN, they got themselves a few talking point off Google beforehand, to nobody's surprise the cheap cooking oils didn't rate very highly, and, as usual, Becky thinks very minute she doesn't fill with some word salat is wasted.
After I saw the olive oil story rearing it's head I just skipped through the video - plus, I hate olive oil (no it's not because I haven't tried a really good one, I just feckin HATE olives)
A video every other day is a very tough schedule, I wouldn't be surprised if it's getting to her.
I think her videos are way too long, she could get two out of every cooking marathon.
I started watching but the tasting bit was BORING I fast forwarded through it! Kind of proved you don’t necessarily get what you pay for and that Costco source good quality ingredients and sell them at good prices. Buying power and all that. It was all pretty chaotic and I felt she was losing her temper a bit with Josh because he was trying to organise her. It also has taken him two years to edit a bread freezing blog for the website. What does he do??

Her garden plan for 2025. Not the most inspired thing I've ever seen, but everyone should plant what their family needs. Apparently they aren't into brassicas or salad.
I expect this to change though. No wheat this year? No potatoes? (maybe they'll use that piece of land next to the house where they had the bees?)
And she isn't really using her vertical space, as usual.
A whole bed of peanuts—what a waste of space. I think she simply forgot the potatoes. Why does she need three beds of pumpkins? I hardly see her cooking anything with them. Just for decoration and for the chickens? No herbs, celery, chard, broccoli? Her seed stash doesn't even reflect what she's planning. Very strange.
Instead of planting an entire bed of garlic, it would make more sense to create a strawberry bed and plant garlic in between. I think she'd get a much better yield from strawberries than from those Greenstalks.

But that would require work and deerprotection. She hasn't even managed to keep a few flowers alive for the bees there. The cage with the berries isn't exactly a feast for the eyes either. So I can't imagine her making any more space for growing—she's already overwhelmed with what she has.
Yes but if she didn’t use the green stalks she wouldn’t get gifted trips to wherever it is they make them.
I’ve watched other YouTubers of home steaders who have raised beds and they do not fill each bed with the same crop. I don’t get where she got that idea from.

Now she's even planning to grow peppers in the Greenstalks. How does someone come up with such an idea? The raised beds are full of flowers and the peppers are supposed to be in pots. It seems to me that Becky lives on her own very special planet.
Isn't she a bit late sowing the hot peppers (chilies) in mid-March? I sow mine in mid-January, and by the time they're ready to go into the bed in mid-May, I'll have beautiful, robust plants. But I'm not a soil blocker either; I find that's far too little soil for tomatoes and peppers to develop good roots.
If she placed more emphasis on the quality of her plants, she would have a much higher yield and would have to focus less on quantity.
I'm also wondering how she plans her seed purchases. It's already March, she has ordered tons of seeds, and then has to resort to seeds from 2020 because she doesn't have the right tomato seeds. But she says herself that she won't worry about it until the time comes and she's sowing. Dear God, let brains rain.

I mean I went to my local garden centre and bought my seeds. Can’t she go there? Pick up a packet of Roma tomatoes seeds. I don’t understand the drama
She's just special...a constantly overwhelmed drama queen.
I have to admit, I am growing sugar rush peach peppers this year because Becky keeps yapping on about them. I have started them end of January and the seedlings are looking good.
The mater drama is such a non issue because it doesn't really matter if she starts them on that very day or a couple of weeks later. Go to the shops and check if they have what you want, what you really really want. Or check if they are in stock now and reorder.
And then, go through you seed box and throw out the dozens of packs for things you have no intention of growing ever again. Old seed can be fine or they can be complete duds.
Also, if you plant heritage varieties, it is dead easy to save seeds from tomatos.

I also don't understand why she wants to start planting vegetables and flowers in pots when she already has so many raised beds. Who's going to water them all?
OMG a six hour vlog has just been posted -a compilation of last years garden vlogs.
The first thing that came to my mind was whether she even spent six hours in the garden. Obviously, she did, but I'm certainly not going to look into it. I'm afraid of what else she has up her sleeve to lull us to sleep.
I like watching LMR and her garden looks beautiful and healthy. The crops she gets like carrots and cabbages are huge.
Then I watch Becky and she walks around her garden which looks overcrowded and scraggly imo. She beams at how great she thinks it looks and harvests veggies exclaiming with pride how big her crops are but they aren't even close to the size LMR gets.
