You need to read the comments on local press articles on FB 🤣 Plenty believe this to be the case 🙄
You can't beat it when people fill in their own gaps from press releases and make their own judgements on it. They have probably been watching too many repeats of The Bill :D

I don't think anyone has said the Police are corrupt.
We the general public know very little of what is going on there just now, apart from the limited press releases.
I said I am still 50/50 on the charges, because i know in some cases they can go for what's called a holding charge when they are running out of time to keep someone in custody without a charge, whilst they still continue with the investigation, they will not want to release anyone until they gather as much evidence as they can, with the fear of losing evidence if someone is released. The amount of people arrested appears to be growing by the day.
Or yes, they have lots of evidence to show his involvement.
A holding charge is an accusation of a minor criminal offence....that doesn’t appear to be the case here?

Might the police be detaining him longer for his own safety general public and organised crime gang might attempt to silence him or he tips people off.
I assume he's told police something for more arrests .
There's speculation there was 3 trucks with 100 people so where's the rest of them.
They have chance hopefully finding others alive.

Most of us here knew he was guilty and knew about the people.

I hope he tells on all the other people involved.

Why were they ever put in an airtight container?

Apparently some of the families received a refund before even hearing of their death.

They say hundreds if not thousands are making the journey at the moment so worrying times to those who have family members that are uncontactable.

I hope things tighten up alot now.

Apparently a lot of the 100 travelling in three trucks are from the same area but some travelled from Europe so only when the route is accurately traced will it be clearer just who was travelling. I feel sorry for the families who lost loved ones and for those who are uncertain if their family members are alive it must be such a difficult time.

Can I ask maybe daft question.
I get why they leave Vietnam.
But why do they think UK is the best why don't they want oz/ new Zealand, mainland Europe or USA as they go through so many countries through before they get here.
As if they here illegally it's likely they being exploited with low or free work, no benefits and fairly high living costs.

It possibly does happen in other countries too. It might be that groomers from the UK got to them first, promised them a better life maybe.

Several stories posted where suspects have been named and not one comment expressing disgust at the press for posting their name and how they’re innocent until proven guilty. What makes this case different? This is bugging me this morning.

It happens in the USA with people coming from South America.

No comments where, from the media? I have seen a lot of the public outraged.

Not the media no, the general public. Take Essex Police and Essex Live, the amount of people who spout that they don’t believe people should be named until found guilty on the Lorry Driver posts is scary (I don’t believe in a secretive justice system myself) Yet look at other posts where people who’ve been arrested for grape, stabbing, robbery have been named there’s no disgust that they’ve been named 🙄 Essex Live reported the name of someone charged with a stabbing after they posted the Mo had been charged and not a single comment protesting that he’s innocent until proven guilty and how he shouldn’t have been named.

A name I think is fair enough, what I don't necessarily agree with is having a photographs, home address and every other detail of a persons life laid out for all to know straight away. 🤷‍♀️

They don't want to come here, they're forced to.

They’re not. They choose to come here. Maybe under false pretences, but they’re not kidnapped and put in the van. They pay these people to bring them here because they think they’ll have a better life and can support their families
