I'm quite excited to see everyone's 2024 lists.
Which new names will be on there?
Who will get the most votes?
Will we have more people taking part than for 2023?
Will we get more women nominated?

We didn't start until later in the year and Paul O'Grady was our first strike in March, so it'll be interesting to see how long it takes to get our first hit!
If you’re that excited bring the date forward.. you know you wanna

You chill the champagne, beer and wine.

We need a Death Pool playlist. I don’t mind what’s on it as long as there’s no Angels by Robbie Williams or Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton.
Over the Rainbow/what a wonderful world, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
Good Riddance, Green Day
Electric Dreams ("I only knew you for a while...")
In My Life, The Beatles
Tonight We Fly, The Divine Comedy
You Will Always Be My Son, Anthem Lights
Heaven Can Wait, Meatloaf
Smile, Nat King Cole
Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Smashing Pumpkins (instrumental)
Times Like These, Foo Fighters
I Will Follow You Into The Dark, Death Cab For Cutie
---

As long as it ends with Easy / Lucky / Free by Bright Eyes¹ (which is my "song to put on if you hear the three minute warning", although it is 5 and a half minutes long so...)

¹"I've got some friends I barely see / but we're all planning to meet / lay in bags as dead as leaves / all together for eternity..."

I was going to go for famous Garys but I couldn't come up with ten.

Gary Glitter - he'd better die horribly in 2024 or there's something terribly wrong with the world
Gary Lineker - death by choking on a cheese and onion crisp
Gary Rhodes - death by drowning in a vat of homemade soup
Gary Neville - death by tripping over football boots at the top of the stairs
Gary Oldman - death by stabbing when the props man forgets to swap the real dagger for a fake one
Gary Barlow - death by falling headfirst into his grand piano and getting stuck
Gary Numan - death by electrocution (his friends will be involved)

Any more famous Garys?
Gary Kemp. His ego/head will meet a horrible end going through a low door.
(I should add I’m tenuously related by marriage to him but I honestly can’t stand the bloke. Yes he’s talented and wrote some decent songs but doesn’t he just know it! His brother on the other hand is lovely and not big headed at all)

Death pool party playlist ideas: Bye Bye Baby by the nearly all dead Bay City Rollers, Time To Say Goodbye by Andrea Boccelli, Always Look on the Bright Side of Life by Monty Python and My Heart will go on by Celine Dion.

I plan on having Another one bites the dust at my funeral though I've told my husband it will be a crematorium service only, not one of those funerals that drags on, the quicker it's over the better really

I had a confirmed death pool list but I've changed/added several times so whoever is on the list Dec 1st will be the one submitted

Lance a question, what if more than 1 on the list dies before 2024 are we allowed multiple substitutions?

Not that it will happen but, yeah, if several on your list die before Jan 1st then you'll get to replace them.

To be honest, I've always said that funerals are for the living and not the deceased.
So it should be down to family and friends to choose and organise everything; what songs remind them of you, for example.

I have often asked to be either fed to sharks or tigers when I'm dead but nobody in my family will do it.
