Surprised (not surprised) she behaved like a haughty little madam in response to that individual on IG.

It's Friday and the kids are allowed to choose a special Friday snack. Erimentha chooses a nature bar and banana milk. Nathan chooses chocolate buttons and chocolate milk, because he's a dirty disgusting pig. Oink.

Their mum comments that Nathan will be hyper (likely the only joy he gets to experience), Erimentha corrects her stupid mother that there is no link to sugar and hyperactivity in children, isn't intelligence in children supposed to be matrilineal?

In the shops, they bump into a 'middle-aged' woman with Ella, the young girl from the library. They've spent a month in Bali, which is much more palatable for Erimentha compared with Cancun. They invite Erimentha and family to a BBQ at the weekend, hoping the weather will stay nice. Mum interjects that Erimentha loves cloudy weather - this is totally irrelevant and no one cares. Erimentha is keeping a watchful distance from this woman, in case the menopause is contagious.

There is a twist in this plot! Her other daughter is in Erimentha's year. Yep - pale-eyed Kimberly is the spawn of this she-devil, and they're going round to their house, no doubt to be tormented by sunny weather and dead-animal family feast.

There are two chapter 8's in the book, so I'm going with it. Ruby, for goodness sake, LinkedIn is your equivalent of visiting a scary grandmother on a Sunday - best behaviour, keep it professional.

They're in class and Mr Aldridge is telling them which class sets they're in. Beth is in the same set as Erimentha, and she, Izzy and Kimberly start complaining about it.

Erimentha turns round to tell them to STFU, when Mr Aldridge tells Erimentha to turn around and pay attention. YES! Those power poses in front of the mirror worked, he has found his voice!

Erimentha cries - unlikely out of sadness, but more out of the injustice at having been told off.

At lunchtime, Erimentha ruminates at not having told anyone in authority about the water incident as she has carved out a confident and near-to-perfect image of herself in the school. Izzy tells her reading makes people unpopular [Ed: I was a bookworm at school and if anything it increased my street cred when other kids needed the answers] and nicks her flapjack.

It's form time, and they're told their email addresses are their full-names with the school domain name, and they all have the same password. If you haven't already guessed, this is relevant to the plot and some of the worst IT security since Q gave Silva M16 access in Skyfall.

Erimentha goes to a tennis lesson which pads out the chapter a bit, her mum is reading, 'Country Living' and possibly, 'How to destroy your child's self-esteem'. Once home, Erimentha goes to check her emails.

Her head of year has sent her an email, saying how inappropriate her behaviour has been and needs to be punished. Ruh-roh.

Honestly tho idk - my parents are in the highest tax bracket but refuse to vote completely as they think labour’s a mess and the tory party are immoral. However, if it came down to it they would vote labour and so would I - whilst I think ruby is very upper class and privileged, it makes sense for her to be voting left, being a young person with relatively progressive values she’s previously been vocal about, and I don’t think it’s something she would lie about. I just dislike it when people view it as a given that people in higher tax brackets would vote Tory, when imo things like taxes only play a small part of it. Now, how her parents vote is a different story but when ruby said she votes left, I actually believe her. Nothing against people speculating ofc - just putting my own opinion out there
The fact that your parents refuse to vote completely is the thing though - in order to actually change society and redistribute wealth you need to take part in the process and actively support a party. Not voting is basically abstaining and supports the status quo. Statistically wealthier voters are more likely to vote Tory- which would make sense, as they benefit the most from Tory policies. Saying that Labour is a mess so you refuse to vote for them is symptomatic of being so privileged that you don't really mind whether society changes or not.

And does anyone else think she seems to be getting angrier (judging by her recent videos)? Maybe the passive-aggressiveness has always been there, but the Roob seems constantly pissed off about something lately. That screenshot of her in the cafe...if I were the other person at that table, I think I'd move; if that's not the look of a girl about to taser someone then what is? Let's hope these YA books aren't giving her any ideas or she'll end up poisoning someone's cup of Roobush. Perhaps that's what the ghostly gasp of air was? Blakeney, are you still with us? It's not your fault you're able to pronounce words correctly.
I think the only time she's honestly seemed happy lately is when she's been within arm's reach of her mummy. Every other time it's been her Hide The Pain Harold grimace or Patrick Bateman glares.

Oh god, not even a teaching assistant job, they literally gave her an part-time English teacher job with no qualifications, no experience and no understanding of basic English. Piper's Corner: Haven for Nepo Babies.

Never let anyone tell you you can't achieve anything you want, just as long as daddy can donate enough money to buy your way into it.

"I added more after taking the picture!" Again with the blatant liesss and ridiculously small meals. Because that's what people do in reality: Make a fraction of their breakfast, take a photo, then make more. Save the bullshit, Ruby. Nobody buys it.

This is why I have so little sympathy for her. She's clearly aware that posting tiny meals like this is toxic and worthy of criticism, since she always adds on a "I added more after!" or "I had a hugeee banquet just before and after this quarter slice of toast but I forgot to take photos! 🙈" comment that's just completely transparent and obvious bullshit. But she still does it, and lies endlessly.

Go to a college or university. There we have loads of people her age. How many people are doing cartwheels and walkovers outside on the quad? Zero. Nilch. You will find them walking to classes or sitting with other students having intellectual conversations, chilling out, going to the library, reading their mail, doing homework, studying. Now, if she were on scholarship or on the university gymnastic team, she would be flipping in the gym, with her fellow teammates. But she isn't. She is in her backyard playing like a little girl. And, for some bizarre reason, feels the need to share it with the world via social media, probably thinking she is really good so let's brag about it. If she is so good, why isn't she on the team. Whatever happened to being in the trampoline group she joined in first year? Did she find out everyone else was better than her so left? I chose to stop doing gymnastics beyond 17, in spite of having been on my High School team. I was ready to move on to more adult themed pursuits, like running after classes with fellow students, skiing and playing tennis with fellow co-workers on weekends. I was not unhappy moving on, it is part of life. It is growing up and finding new exciting things to do and not have some desperate need to look back into the past with regret of aging or feeling as though you are leaving your best years behind. When it comes to growing up, Ruby is pretty famous for putting on the breaks! Life is good and full of opportunities. Embrace it. If you spend all your time looking back, the present will pass you by before you even dipped your toes in it. You can't get it back.
I’m the last person to defend Ruby but I honestly think the gymnastics stuff is just not that deep, and idk where you went to university but tbh the vast majority of UK university students don’t spend their weekends skiing and playing tennis 😭

Ruby's parents: *spend literally tens of thousands of pounds in fees so that little Ruby can attend a posh private school where students are given a multitude of extracurricular activities to choose from and are encouraged to engage in them so they become well-rounded people*
Ruby: And anyway students are expected to do things besides studying and that is why our educational system is syo syo bad

She's not just an airhead, she's also really ungrateful for the opportunities and the education she's been given.

Ruby, soon-to-be studying 1550-1700 c. literature at Oxford, just posted that Macbeth is set in the 14th century 🤦‍♀️ (it’s set in the 11th). Hasn’t she claimed Macbeth is one of her favourite Shakespeare plays? Isn’t she literally going to be spending a good chunk of her master’s studying Shakespeare? She just read an entire book based on Lady Macbeth’s backstory and didn’t even realise what time period the book is set in. Maybe she should be spending her time reading the actual play instead. Someone corrected her in the comments and she’s changed the caption now. I just can’t believe she didn’t take even a second to double-check? Even if I knew with 99% certainty (100% even!) that it was set in a certain time period, I would double-check before posting it to my 200k followers. She really truly believes she knows everything and is never wrong. Unbelievable.

Grandmama mentions she hasn't always lived a morally perfect life - I wanted tea spilled on Grandmama's corrupt youth, but it goes as far as pinching her sister. They pick pinecones.
I wonder if grandmama has ever run through fields of wheat

I was 17 when I got my first job of 28 quid a week (1977) I paid my parents 8 quid a week . Then when I left and got a better job on 55 a week I paid them 15. Taught me you can't go through life not paying your way. I did the same with my daughter and she has a healthy respect for money as well.
No disrespect but I don't see much of a point in giving your parents a percentage of your wages unless you're working to help out the family. £8/£15 is a much bigger amount for a teenager compared to an adult, so the parent taking a percentage of the money feels arbitrary to me. Surely your family are the people you can rely on without having to pay? There's such a thing as being too coddling and I think it would've been good for Ruby to have had some kind of part time job, but at the same time 17 year olds are kids. They're going to spend their whole lives working and paying rent/a mortgage anyway. There's no point in making them (as another poster said) worry about food or bills at that age.

(Sorry for off topic.)

Ruby starts her day with a small prayer to the Gods of Productivity.

"Dearest Productivity Gods, please grant me nothing but First grades and the opportunity to steal more charity money. Notion bless me. Amen."

But Ruby remembers that it's kinder to be grateful for the charity money you already stole than to wish for more to steal.

Untitledoip544oi.jpg

And then she smiles, because she has a lot of stolen charity money.

Untitledoip544o453jhki.jpg

Ruby continues to not know how emoticons and emojis work and accidentally gives the mention of waking up with a smile a weird, suggestive tone.

Untitledoip544ojhki.jpg

Ruby was evidently just grinning at nothing for the better part of an hour, since she claims she woke up at 6:30am, but it's a while after 7am when she gets out of bed to turn off her alarm.

Untitledoipytu544ojhki.png

Untitledoipytu54453434ojhki.jpg

Ruby starts every morning with a breath of fresh air, because breathing in the dust, mold and dirt that permeates every inch of her room overnight must be hell on the lungs.

Her mind must still be on all the charity money she swindled, because she starts grinning like a psychopath again.

Untitledoipytu54453434ojhukhki.jpg

After bodychecking with some morning stretches, where Ruby mentions that she's "fallen out of the habit of doing yoga", she brushes her hair so violently that you'd think it owed her charity money. She's audibly snapping strands of hair with her brush and it sounds painful. Ruby's already losing her hair through malnutrition, but she's helping her eroding hairline along by straight-up yanking it out at the root.

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojhu454khki.jpg

The end result is a hairline as patchy, full of glaring holes and painful to look at as her videos.

Not satisfied, she angrily twists her fucked-up hair into a bun and is apparently ready to start her day.

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojhu454k31hki.jpg

Ruby grabs a stagnant glass of water that's been gathering dust overnight and chugs it down.

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojh4564u454k31hki.jpg

She's once again pretending to read while brushing her teeth, but all she's accomplishing is ruining a perfectly good book. The cover looks new, but the pages are speckled with stains/mold. Ruby spitting all over it for her morning "Oiy'm syoo spashul!" affectation probably isn't helping. This is one of two separate montages of Ruby brushing her teeth while pretending to read in this video.

Remember, Ruby is an avid bookwork who ALWAYS takes care of her books.

After that, it's just ten more minutes of the exact same rehashed shit we've seen in every other video.

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojh4ytuy564u454121k8097867831hki.jpg

Ruby stares at laptops and claims to be REALLY enjoying "STODDYING" while looking so miserable you'd think she were reading a court order forcing her to return the charity money she took.

Ruby waves her eating disorder in everyone's face, lovingly preparing tiny servings of the same 4 ingredients for every "meal" (with peas in Shreddies, naturally). No more than a couple of bites is eaten, and no full, substantial meal is prepared.

The whole video is just the same thing she's shown 5,000 times before, only she looks on the brink of collapse.

It also feels like she's been on Tattle again, because she's fully doubled down on the denial and contradictions while attempting to address and debunk the criticisms from here in the most laughably lazy and unbelievable ways.

Ruby pretends she doesn't actually hate her pets, even though she instantly forgets that one of her dogs died last year (that or she just reused months-old narration). When she's playing with her dog with her mum, she obviously never does this usually and just parrots all the things her mum says and does with the dog.

Ruby: "Breaks are VARRY important!"
Also Ruby: "Breaks should be productive. Here's 95 hours of tasks crammed into one fabricated day, good luck keeping up with me while also taking breaks!"

Ruby: "I ALWAYS loiyke tyoo disinFACT moiy laptop AVVERY noight as part of moiy daily rootineee." (Lazily swabs a couple of patches of her laptop outer shell.)
Meanwhile:
Untitl5675757ed.png

Ruby: "My room is VARRY cold ALL THE TOIYME!"
Also Ruby: (Leaves the curtains on her single-glazed, no insulation windows open overnight to let all the cold air in, so that she can "wake up with the sun"...only to wake up hours after sunrise and immediately open all the windows.)

Ruby: "I need things to be clean. I can't concentrate if it's messy."
Meanwhile:

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojh4ytuy564u454121k8097987867831hki.jpg

Ruby spends a tonne of time telling us she's always hyper-productive and accomplishes many things all day, and ALWAYS HONESTLY gets engrossed in her work and distracted from the world around her because she's enjoying it SYO MOCH, and she's getting ALL THE WAHHRK done on her dissertation. But she shows no evidence of any of that. Then later complains that she has trouble staying focused on things.

Ruby: "YASS, this video was filmed across tyoo days becoss my grandparents were hyarr and it wouldn't be reFLACKtive of moiy actual day otherwise."
btt2submf1rmoaj2rmjb7garwstp73utibj0tlj8s&rid=200w.gif

What about every single other daily routine or "day in my life" video that was filmed across multiple days/months? Do your grandparents visit you every single day, no matter where you are?

If she'd been saying from the beginning of these vlogs, "I have a lot of shit to do that I can't film, or things that filming would distract me from, so this is more of a recreation of a day in my life than an uninterrupted record of an actual day" then nobody would've mentioned it.

Instead, she fabricates a timeline where she has 76 hours of productivity crammed into a single day to make all her young, naïve fans jealous that they can't accomplish as much, and will inevitably work themselves sick trying. And Ruby once again addresses criticism with 3% truth, 97% lies. This video is like 4+ days of footage. In the first time she's ever acknowledged filming on multiple days, Ruby admits to only two.

And she's lying to herself, as well.

She complains throughout this video that she finds it hard to concentrate in the afternoon, or can't be productive at bedtime. It's lunacy, and Ruby handwaves her inability to concentrate or stay focused for the majority of the day away as just a sign to switch to different "tahhsks". She doesn't consider the glaring ED-lephant in the room as the root cause of her brain's inability to function or focus.

She doesn't mention her bizarre compulsion to always be at least pretending to be busy (while accomplishing nothing) as a stupidly misguided and toxic thing.

She shows yet again that, alongside the 689 planners, trackers and to-do lists she claims to use, she's going to make another one for overall tasks.

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojh4ytuy564u454121k7867831hki.jpg

But she makes sure to include things she's already completed so that she can instantly cross them off and reward herself undeservedly to fool herself into thinking she's not floundering, and trick the audience into thinking she's accomplishing big things very quickly.

She's fully committed to childhood regression again, and casually mentions that she goes to say good morning multiple times to her parents in the same two hour morning, as though she's terrified they'll run away the second she leaves the room. Then her mummy indulges her with tea parties in the garden while she dresses like a child.

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojh4y3541hki.jpg

Ruby confused her "Writing for Children" module with the "Writing to Traumatise Children" module, judging by the nightmare illustrations she shows.

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojh4y367575541hki.png

Her book is a Christmas story for kids, but Ruby clearly just drew an alien in a wig:

EnLhTX3W8AEb2Xj.jpg

She aims to hand this in as her final assignment for university and not only pass, but get a first.

good-luck-with-that-you-need-it.gif

And her dissertation isn't looking any better, either, since she's still trying to build it around stolen ideas she's cribbed from Liz Stanley and that AI "let the algorithm do your research for you" app Genei (which she advertises, yet makes no mention of her relationship with the brand or that they're a paid sponsor of her).

Untitledoipytu5445348797834ojh4y367575989541hki.png

It's no wonder she keeps having to rewrite this shit after every meeting with her dissertation supervisor, but Ruby still hasn't solved the core problem that this barely-tangential nonsense has almost nothing to do with English Literature.

And this is why we'll never get another Dissertation Diary. She's still no further ahead than she was months ago.
