"instead of dining out we're having a chilled day eating at home, enjoying each others company. instead of cards and presents, we're writing each other letters at home" - now why do I feel like this man is broke AF & probably can't afford fancy dinners or fancy gifts but his manipulative ass twists it like it's more special this way & her dumb ass falls for it. Idk it reminded me how in one of her recent vlogs she talked about their date and the date was he took her for a walk in the park at night (when she said trees were speaking to them or whatever lol). I also assume this is why they're living in Bali atm, 'cause he can't afford her fancy lifestyle in London. But I'm sure they both agreed to live there of course

I can't crap on her for the latest video... instead of trying to be perfect, I think she was a lot more honest and clearly the emotion of what happened is still very raw. When she started tearing up at the end... I felt that.
I think her coping mechanism is to try and convince herself that she's "over it" in order to get over it. Like dressing for the job you want. I've definitely done that myself after a break up... a lot of people have. That whole "show him what he's missing" thing.
I want more of THIS Niomi than the one who is all sparkle and false.

TLDR from last thread, please add anything I missed:
- Niomi traveled home from London (a Covid hotspot where the new strain was detected) just before London went into Tier 4, even though travel between cities was still not allowed under Tier 3 and she had been bubbling with multiple people in London (Charlotte, Sarah Ann, possible hookups). She also didn’t isolate when she got to Sussex, potentially exposing innocent people to the new strain
- She also posted a sustainable wrapping video with an undisclosed ad for a £800 vegan leather bag. The wrapping suggestions were actually quite unsustainable (she bought holly/decorations/cloth and used disposable tape, when she could have used newspaper or gift bags from previous seasons), and vegan leather is not necessarily more sustainable than real leather since it contains plastic.
- The above resulted in some genuine criticism from her usual robot followers, telling her she shouldn’t have broken the rules and gloated about how lucky she was to have gotten to see her family for Christmas while others are forced to be alone. She also received some criticism for advertising a luxury bag to followers who may have lost jobs this year and be in financial hardship, as well as for advertising a vegan bag when she just bought a leather bag from Mulberry.
- The backlash was so much that she turned off comments on her video announcing she was home for Christmas and she deleted constructive criticism from her Instagram comments, none of which were hateful or rude in any way.
- Vlogmas absolutely flopped this year, she made 8 videos in the whole month, and only a couple were actual vlogs.
- She seems to be laying low after the backlash she received, sticking to posting thirst traps on Instagram. Comments seem to be back to usual robotic adoring fans.

I hate at this time of year when influencers go on about switching off for the holidays, as though everyone is doing it. Who do you think is flying those planes, serving you a festive afternoon tea, delivering your PR packages, caring for the sick and dying, collecting all your rubbish on Boxing Day… the people in your little influencer marketing bubble might be taking time off but read the room!
