That was a very entertaining read.

One thing I don’t think has been mentioned yet is when Catherine Zeta Jones talked about being bipolar. Jameela’s response?

Catherine Zeta-Jones has just been admitted to rehab for bipolar disorder. I GUARANTEE it’s just the menopause! Makes 40+ crazy

Imagine paying someone a genuine compliment and getting lectured to and make to feel small! She is truly insufferable. No matter how "perfect" her skin might be, her ugly personality shines through

It's really a gold mine illness for her because it is associated with so many problems that absolutely anything she claims to have can be tied back to it.
Exactly this. Cancer twice vs pre-cancerous cells vs benign breast lump that required a simple op vs most of her breast removed/? Must be EDS. Tooth stuck in with eyelash glue for 12 years? Must be EDS. Saying she's broken her elbow when she's on camera pushing a wheelbarrow right after? Must be EDS. Almost fully deaf until age 12 while managing at the same time to be a competitive swimmer for six hours a day, both of which I personally know not to be true? EDS I guess. Allergies she previously said were caused by mercury poisioning and that 'went away' after she 'healed her gut'. She's now attributing those to EDS too. Invoking suicide every chance she gets despite being part of the reason other people actually did it? It's EDS, don't you know!

And we're also supposed to lap up this absolute bullshit because she can demonstrate a bit of hypermobility and that somehow makes her the saviour of people who are genuinely suffering, rather than recognise the reality that she's a pernicious opportunist and exploiter of the most vulnerable and the most desperate, all just to stay in the public consciousness. Absolute lowest of the low.

I feel the same, her "I Weigh" Instagram idea was good to begin with, definitely embrace women not being seen as objects or to be categorized by their size.

However as someone with Eczema and thus red blotchy skin, having something to cover up on the bad days is not a bad thing, and definitely not a move to objectify myself, or imprison myself.

I definitely find she is too quick to shame people for wanting to enhance their bodies, or use makeup. Her tone suggests she truly believes she is 100% correct and that she speaks for all women. I quite liked Zoe London's tweet on the matter today, where she was saying how people with skin conditions might welcome the new product, and that Jameela seems to think everything in the beauty industry is out to get her.

Whilst some of her past points have been important, she's quickly giving herself an online impression that she is just ranting; this is starting to have the effect that people will not take her seriously. Shouting the loudest at every passing cloud is not going to be helpful. Choose your battles.

Lizzo doesn't have confidence, she screams attention wh*re. If someone has to twerk all of the time and constantly show that obese azz of hers on her social media platforms, that doesn't say much. In fact that's a terrible message to put out to young people.
Truly amazing how deep some people's hatred of fat people runs, for no other reason than them living their lives whilst being fat.

Lmao, she couldn’t just pretend to be “queer”, she had to be homophobically victimised by those criticising her.

I would bet a tenner that she hasn’t seen a foof since she blasted out of her mum’s.

Literally every piece of land is "stolen" land - that's how it works when you conquer another tribe/nation/culture etc. Literally all of world history is one "tribe" conquering another and taking their land. (also, what about land that was traded or bought because there is plenty of that, even in America). even the native tribes in the US were conquering and enslaving one another and taking each others land. Take a look at any map of the ancient world - is anyone crying that Tuscany was once Etruscan land or that France was once part of ancient Gaul or that China was once a bunch of distinct tribes (and what does she have to say about China claiming ownership of Tibet and Taiwan) FFS - history is all about stronger cultures defeating and assimilating weaker ones. They only cry about it in North America
What are you even on about? Treatment of the indigenous peoples of America, Australia, Africa has been beyond abysmal - and this is in the modern era so I don’t know why you feel the need to talk about Gaul etc. Get away with the whatsboutism. Genocide and destruction of cultures in the name of ‘civilisation’, well so nice for you that you’re down with it.

I’m not a fan of Jameela but I’m sure not a fan of patriarchal bullshit either.

I rarely agree with anything Piers Morgan writes, but he has Jameela sewn up frankly. I find her style of ‘activism’ a massive hinderance. She is like the Twitter shadow. Waiting around for other celebs to mention the words diet, abortion or misogyny so she can retweet and lose her mind 🙄. I just want to say - sshh now - consistently.

Personally I think she’s spot on about the whole “new year, new you” thing, especially dangerous detox diets and the diet industry in general making money from the insecurities of people, especially women, that are created by the media holding up impossible standards of beauty in the first place.

BUT

Jameela herself is part of that media image. She is thin but regularly talks about the crap she eats, which either she doesn’t actually eat or eats extremely little of, just for show.

She is a naturally beautiful woman, and although I’m sure she’d deny it, everyone in Hollywood has some kind of tweaks to help them out - be it botox, teeth whitening, surgery, hair extensions, whatever. It cannot be denied that she is very photogenic, and doesn’t look at all out of place on a red carpet. It also cannot be denied that she has far more money and access to maintaining her beauty and body than the average woman.

SO SHE IS A FULLY PAID PART OF THE MACHINE THAT IS SELLING IMPOSSIBLE BEAUTY STANDARDS TO WOMEN!

She is the fucking root of making women feel shit about themselves, posting poser selfies on Instagram and walking red carpets with professional hair & makeup. Taking part in photoshopped photoshots with perfect lighting. Talking about all the crap she eats but mysteriously maintaining her slim dress size, seemingly without any effort. 10 steaks my arse!

The diet industry may prey on people’s insecurities, but those insecurities wouldn’t exist without the media’s ridiculous representation of women, of which Jameela has been a part of for well over 10 years, in one form or another. She is not the fucking crusader she thinks she is. She’s a Hollywood sheep who talks the talk but cannot grasp how she plays such a big part in the problems she’s constantly putting on blast.

FUCK OFF, JJ. I’ll listen to anti-diet culture speech from qualified people (dieticians, eating disorder experts, doctors, therapists) and from women who fall outside of the western media’s high standards of beauty, but not you.

Thoughts on the post about men being banned from leaving the house for 2 hours a day everyday so she can go on a run and not feel like a “victim”
---

I get women have been attacked, I get there is systemic sexism in the police force and many other professions. But seriously, you can go on a run. Like I don’t believe women genuinely walk about 24/7 with keys between their fingers and don’t run for fear of getting Sarah Everard’ed
That’s a really gross way to talk about a kidnap, rape and murder of a woman.

Oh I'm no fan of CJ but she is a transwoman and an elite athlete so it's hilarious for Jameela to think she does not have the right to an opinion

Here’s an example for you:

Sofie Hagen, whose comedy focuses on all things sex, gender and fatness, wrote a piece for Metro on being what they call “a pansexual virgin”.

They explained: “‘Pansexual’ means I am attracted to, and fall in love with, people regardless of their gender.

“‘Virgin’ means… well, in this case, it means something quite specific: I have never slept with a woman.

“In fact, I have only slept with cisgender-heterosexual men. If I remain a pansexual virgin for life, can I still even claim to be queer? I’ve decided I can.”

Hagen said they had kissed women, dated women and fallen in love with women… they’d just never had sex with a woman, and they said they feared it was “too late”.

“When it comes to women or people with vaginas,” they said, “the longer I don’t have sex with one, the more I start to worry: what if I don’t know how to do it?

“What if it goes wrong and I accidentally break something or plug something and then I’ll be too scared to try again and I’ll be destined to the beige and boring life of dating cis-men forever?

“What if my own vagina is super weird, and I don’t realise until I see someone else’s, and then I’ll be like, ‘Hang on, is that thing meant to be that small?'”

Hagen said they knew exactly what they would say if this was someone else’s dilemma: “There is no shame in being a pansexual person who has only ever slept with cis men.”

They continued: “If this was anyone other than me, I would climb across a table and slap them silly for even having the audacity to ask such a foolish question.

“‘Of course, you are queer. You don’t have to prove your queerness to anyone. You don’t have to sleep with anyone to be queer!’

“But it’s not anyone else, it’s me with all of my internalised biphobia, insecurity, social anxiety and self-doubt… there is always the fear that the queer community will have a big meeting and decide to strip me of my LGBTQIA+ identity and send me back to heterosexual hell.”

Ultimately, Hagen said, it’s about being okay where you are: “If I end up never sleeping with a woman or a person with a vagina, I guess that’s going to have to just be okay.”
Absolute waffle from a straight girl looking for edge.

She can find women to kiss and men to have sex with yet cant have sex with a woman in case she "realises her vagina is weird or breaks something"?

If you need excuses for why you're not moving passed kissing with girls you're probably not queer.

Puberty blockers were used to treat precocious puberty, so puberty in girls under eight years old, the incidence rate for precocious puberty is one in 10,000. So if JJ knew loads of girls in her school on them she must have had half a million girls in her class. Why have we not heard about her overcrowded school until now? Lunch time must have been a pain with millions of kids all lining up for the dinner ladies. Fun fact JJ maybe try talking to the girls that were on puberty blockers that are now suing for the harm they suffered. The girls with actual precocious puberty, not the girls who didn't like pink or dolls so society told them they were boys and in the "wrong" body . JJ needs to get her pan-binary head out of her cis- het self identified flora and fauna arsehole.

Nice to see people calling her out. How would she know the medical records of all these girls, was she super popular and they told her? Or is she confusing the pill with them?

Sorry but having an abortion early on in pregnancy is not comparable to a woman who is much further along who might want to wear shape wear because her body has gone through so many changes (some of which they don't even tell you about when they tell you where babies come from).
