I think she did say somewhere (can't remember, might have been on stories) that this isn't their forever home, which I think is an interesting mindset. I mean, I've moved countless times myself but I dont think I've ever bought a house and thought this before I'd even moved in! It just seems slightly odd. Nothing wrong with that per se,but definitely a luxury and privilege to be able to think this way.

Oh 100%. The flippant way these influencers say “it’s not my forever home” while there are countless people who can only dream of owning a home one day is just so privileged and snobby. I also just find it hilarious Emma - the girl who iSn’T LiKe OtHeR iNfLuEnCeRs - is literally following the current influencer trend of moving to the country. Can’t wait for her to make a potentially lovely home into a shitty bland pit of despair devoid of color and personality.

I find it HILARIOUS that she made such a big deal of putting in the ceiling rose at the old house and all of sudden she’s seemingly offended by the ceiling rose in the new house. She’s such a floozy and poseur.

I only hope that my life is never so lonely and empty that I give a damn about the worktop being grey with flecks instead of grey without flecks. I used to feel jealous of the influencer lifestyle but I'm not sure who envies Emma now

No, she used to be nicer, and funnier. Now, her tone of voice, even when written, is just so arrogant. She comes across as having no interest in anyone elses opinion other than her own.

And no Emma, the floor and doors don't go or look nice together, the floor is a cool oak, doors are a warm oak. But do you know what those doors would have looked nice with? The parquet flooring you ripped out.

I would clean the house even when I know someone else has cleaned it. That way I know it's done right and to my standard, I have lived too long in a shared apartment, so I know from first-hand experience that cleaning can be a subjective thing.

Moving is stressful, how knows what could have happened when the previous owners were moving out. As long as the house is in decent condition it to be expected to find some dust or marks from moving. Not everyone is privileged like Emma, to basically sit on their ars all day long and get paid a lot of money on top of that.

Emma has turned into a sour and irritable person, too bad because I liked her a couple of years ago.

wow, her rant about the previous owners leaving the place dirty is just so mean.... If I were the previous owners I would have regretted my choice to sell to them by now.
Does she not realise that her public rant says more about her character then about theirs? she seems like a really mean and unkind person.

FYI everybody - they messaged me back on instagram saying that they had talked with the previous owners contractors and the contractors said that they were really bad cheap people (what else would a contractor say who wants to sell more services to someone and wants to "get on side " with the new owners and prospective customers). She also said that they intend for their instagram to be honest and if I don't like the way they talk about people than I can unsubscribe.

Here is my point - even if the previous owners were cheap - it is about maintaining your instagram dignity - don't go saying nasty things about people it just makes you look trashy. You can be honest without trashing people. Would you seriously tell your best friend who is having a bad day that she looks terrible in that new dress - no you would not - you would say "I wonder if a different length on the dress might just flatter you more - or to wear it with a different jacket - you would find a way without trashing her - or anyone (the previous owners were not their friends but trashing them is just unnecessary.
I guess Emma does not want to lean away from being trashy?

She needs to shut tf up about anything to do with mindful consumption, considered purchases etc. Her behaviour and the contradictory preaching to her audience is grotesque.

She acts so superior. I used to really like her, she was a little goofy and quite funny in a deadpan way, now she’s a miserable bore. I can’t even hate follow anymore.

Exactly. She's also on Stories humble bragging about going to some fruit and nut place (which is 'quite a drive' - hello CO2 emissions?) because it's 'plastic free' and yet she's wrapping her perfectly good, practically brand new kitchen in ... guess what? PLASTIC! You'd have to laugh if it weren't so bloody tragic.

The bisexual reveal for the wrong Emma Hill is the most exciting thing that's happened to this thread in ages... I can't imagine how long it'll take to fill up another one!

My pet hate is when people decant all their food / products into aesthetic containers. Unless you’re shopping at those stores where you bring your own containers, it just creates even more waste and some food will go off quicker when exposed to oxygen and/or light. Food already comes in packaging! Say what you want about nestle or whatever but they spend millions figuring out the best way to store food

Okay not that I own my own home or anything like that but the layout of this house is ridiculous!! The master bedroom is TINY, and the three rooms upstairs have the lowest ceilings ever. Without MAJOR structural work, this house will be pretty hard to live in, even just with the two of them.

I watched her latest video 'I'm Excited To Wear These Things - Autumn' (because there was nothing else in my subs box at 6 o'clock on a Sunday morning). Same old, same old. She even tripped up at one point and called it 'Autumn Staples' - cue fake laugh and 'that's a whole different video' comment. NO, EMMA IT ISN'T - IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME VIDEO, because all your videos are EXACTLY THE SAME.
What really pisses me off is this 'I'm not vlogging anymore because I want my privacy' attitude. She wasn't bothered about privacy when she was doing endless Zara hauls and showing us the inside of her toilet. Now she has a bigger following, uninspired 'paid partnerships' and has shilled all her followers to pay for renovations, a wardrobe filled with beige clothes and the upkeep of five dogs, she suddenly wants her privacy.
'I'm not a performing seal' she said at one point. Yes, Emma. You are. This is your job. Suck it up.
