She will gush about it on social media, and then six months later will secretly sell it, pocketing the money and using it to buy a more expensive one. When some poor commenter asks about it, she'll reply with: "We found it didn't suit OUR taste, so we got one that fits OUR needs much better now."

ETA: Actually you can just insert any gifted item here, not just the couch. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I agree something must be going on with her because her self care is nil, but she continues to shill and beg, and her vile attitude towards subscribers who are paying for this ridiculous, privileged lifestyle of painting garden pots and arranging biscuits in jars, is scattered all over the internet. I'll reserve my sympathy for people who deserve it.

What annoys me so much about her is how she promotes overspending and overconsumption while claiming to take sustainablity into consideration. Sorry, her entire vlogs are green-washing at its best. It's basically the manifestation of Zara who write on their page what they do for the environment and that they now use recycled polyester yet still produce thousands new pieces each month of which most are just throw-away trend crap. Granted, she gets gifted or buys clothes with better fibers and some are produced in Bulgaria but in the end it's all the same: way too much waste. The energy used to produced a garment, the working conditions, the often unethical means to source a fiber and so on. There is nothing sustainable about her lifestyle and she's mocking all those who really try to make a difference.

Looking back at all the 'forever in my wardrobe' and 'wear time and time again' pieces makes her claims re sustainability even more ridiculous. Every season she changes a black coat for another black coat and by now I'm pretty sure that she must have owned the same jeans (despite not her thing any longer so read wide-leg trousers) three times without her noticing. There is nothing wrong with upgrading a piece of clothing to higher quality but what she often does is change that one beige piece for another slightly different beige piece and the only difference is that is on IG everywhere atm. I love when she gets things gifted and reviews them, telling her viewers that this is smth she will wear time and time again only to sell it away and present some The Row unboxing 2weeks later.

Her consumption habits really irk me and that is smth she could change if she really wants to live up to her own words. As for her personality and that hair, I feel like any help is already too late. How do you develop from Disney-loving Millennial (already cringe) to super bland Greige within a few months of being absent on social media. I really wonder if this is the life Simon envisioned with her. At this point point I wouldn't be surprised if she gets herself new dogs in a different shade of beige that fits her new aesthetic better.

Also this hair. Sorry. Can't say it enough. I understand if going to the hairdresser is too expensive right now with all the expenses going up but all it would take for her is to not buy any basic shit for one day and she'd be fine.

I don't think there was ever any follow up but I felt that she has since "removed her personality" from all content that she puts out. I'm not sure if it's just coincidental that she lost her personality or if this is her way of putting up some boundaries. What does everyone think?

To complain about the state the previous owners left the house in and then in the second sentence to be like “I love cleaning and wouldn’t even be satisfied if a professional cleaning team did it” is the most ridiculous privileged diva bullshit I’ve ever read.

AND THEN to admit you’re basically cheapskate…like geeezzzz.

It sounds like they want to do a bunch of stuff as soon as possible, but I’m sure £500 to do a decent surface clean wouldn’t affect their budget that much since they’re probably getting a ton gifted unlike the rest of us who actually have to budget and do things slowly.

In the new home tour she's showing the place for logs next to the fireplace and it looks kinda awkward with like seven logs left from the winter, lying alone in the corner. It would look like a nice element of wood if they filled in the logs, but she says they don't have the money so they won't be getting more logs before next winter.

So I guess the influencer thing isn't going spectacularly well if these people can't afford to get a couple of logs of wood suddenly?

Just watched the video. I feel like this walk in wardrobe / room is created for her work only like a showroom. For brands she works with, photos and videos. I guess 90% of her clothes are stored somewhere else.

I can't get my head around the whole sustainable crap she's coming out with, organic cotton t-shirts etc when she's about to wrap her kitchen in plastic!

Oh please, make it stop!
It's like she just has zero self awareness.
I mean...she's "changed her shopping habits" but still has an ENTIRE room full of boxes of "Emma's wardrobe". The amount of "sustainable"/ "second hand but grand" (kindly gifted) crap she's hoarded this year ALONE is more than some people have in their entire wardrobe!
Yeah, she'd rather 'encourage' people to buy £350 sweaters and ten identical COS trench coats because sustainable innit.
