Babygirl
'You think her brothers are her gatekeepers' 😂 That puny Kings of Leon tribute act?
😂😂😂😂 OMFG
Now I don't know anything about "Babygirl" except for what mother of the century herself posts on social media, but quite why Old Muvva Hirons thinks everyone wants a piece of her kids I don't know.
If you want to breathe the same air as the jobless, culture appropriating, unfunny, attention seeking, permanent backside stuck out princess you're going to have get past her jobless bearded brothers, her jobless "musician" under the thumb dad and her mum, Grand Oaf, Kween of the Schillers in her million pound mansion bought and paid by an army of NHS workers, care workers and blogger wannabes who thank HER for THEM being able to supply them with snake oil for £££s.
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤪😂

I think there’s a few things going on with the Beauty Pie situation. I think they started with a very clear ethos, and with the membership model, encouraged this whole we are a team, be part of some thing special, this is a community… Blah blah blah. Then as they grew they sometimes had to adjust, as companies do, particularly in these unprecedented times. Because of the community aspect (erm, see the Freaks as another example) it’s followed a similar path to most online communities: rabid fandom with some very over invested people, adoration, love this group, adore these products, worship the founder (sounds familiar?) etc etc to then spats and drama and the reverse etc etc.

Sometimes the community complaints are valid, sometimes they aren’t. They’re all probably useful information that companies often pay for. They’ve often mismanaged the genuine complaints - eg - selling purportedly luxury candles and then ignoring complaints of tunneling and floating wicks and cracking glass. Then telling customers it’s their own fault or saying they’re not using luxury candles appropriately, hence people then having to burn the candle with foil wrapped around it when they know full well that hadn’t happened with their Diptyque candles. Just stupid avoidable things where a straightforward ‘sorry, looks like we can improve here and thanks for the feedback’ along with a credit or whatever would snuff out (ha) the situation quickly. Then they’ve incorrectly listed product details, those sorts of (understandable for a growing company) type of thing but haven’t necessarily promptly or appropriately responded to the community. So I think there’s a sense of injustice in that community that is probably a normal part of Facebook type groups but exacerbated by Beauty Pie’s responses / lack of responses.

That said it probably would have worked itself out, growing pains etc, if they hadn’t then posted on the group basically telling everyone off and implementing a strike system on the group 😱 I mean… I’m actually one of the long term members who likes a few of the products, understands their need to adjust their model and marketing ethos etc as they grow and mostly roll my eyes at the candle / inci list etc type debacles. So - I’m a lurker who shops and is pretty well disposed towards them and have seen that post and thought - erm.. Liberty and Cult Beauty don’t tell their customers off… So I think they’ve maybe made a misstep there. They might be forgetting the customers who are pretty relaxed, stay quiet but do read the page and are now going 🤷‍♀️ We’ll see. I’m not buying the serum though - it’s basically like I’ve made a random product and told you all it’s got SuperBioWow complex in it and you all need to buy it! Forgetting their customers know about ingredients and that won’t cut it. Especially for £44 plus membership and a free telling off.

Wow, I guess I had more to say than I thought!

I'm in the group and bought the book, although I haven't bought any of the kits, far too expensive! I'd rather have Botox if I had £100s to spend I think. What annoyed me is the way she and the freaks hate on Aldi products, especially the dupes. For some people that is literally all they can afford. It really smacks of privilege when someone self righteous says they would never buy Aldi as they do other companies out of £££s. It's business baby, and those who buy Aldi products because they are cheap probably wouldn't buy the overpriced originals anyway.

Another thing that annoys me is the thinly begging for freebies, and giveaways that elicit competitive tales of woe. It's giving me Jeremy Kyle vibes, or it's like crappy weekly magazines paying £250 for real life sad stories.
Anyway it was really bugging me to work out who Caroline Hirons looks like, and I've just realised it's the actor Daniel Mays. Please tell me someone else can see it! Same face!

Just read it. The bullshitometer is off the scale!
So the school asked for toiletries for the homeless.
OP says her son takes her Jordan Samuel cleanser.
A Freak says why did he not ask?
They we’re running late so he ran to the bathroom cabinet and just grabbed it. (Obvs so no one thinks her precious son is rude!)
Another Freak says that the school will give it back because they won’t want opened products.
OP says it was brand new and unopened! 🙄 (Isn’t JS in the group? Freebies incoming!)
Another Freak says ring school and explain error.
OP can’t do this because it happened yesterday and it was all collected by the Salvation Army at 6pm last night.
Her son said he knew that cleanser made her so happy so he wanted the homeless to be happy too!

Two words…

It has nothing to do with how she wants Ava to be perceived and everything to do with how *she* wants to be perceived. She wants to be seen as cool, liberal, I'm not like other Moms! She just comes across as desperate and tragic, same goes for Ava too

Well that's a big fat lie, she will change her opinion on brands for a paycheck!

#WhyYouAlwaysLyin
I could almost reply snarky to that. Should we start a list
1. Sunday Riley “not going to put oxygen into that brand” now loves
2. Dermalogica “ same as above, nothing special” - now loves
3. Elemis- “uhh I give to my mother in law, nothing nice to say” now loves
4. Indeed labs- loved - then they used her name without paying- now hates
5. Drunk elephant- loved- then they replied saying hirons is a pessimist- now hates
6.charlotte tillbury- indifferent- why do makeup people do skincare- now loves( put an extortionate clay mask by tillbury in a kit- but clay masks you should be able to buy cheap as chips- hirons quoted)
7.u beauty- never would answer questions on it. Once talked about the serum. - now loves it
8. Pixi-loved it- now removed from new addition of book and has not talked about since 2020

Just went and watched her stories

As if she thinks her little 30 person website is the same as INSTAGRAM 🤣🤣🤣🤣

"When you have a business you can't sign off', uh. Yes. You can. It's a sign of a very poorly run business if you can't sign off for the weekend, Caroline. She criticises his captions, "when you're the head of Insatgram, these things matter". One of you has a massively successful, internationally renowned business, used by upwards of a billion people. The other has a crap app, a FaceBook group full of effing weirdos and a website that is impossible to navigate and regularly encourages ordinary working people to go into debt and overspend on overpriced, rubbish products, and encourages a system of competition between them. Do you care, Caroline?

Also hilarious she claims to be Scouse. She's a Tory londoner 🤣🤣

I'm sorry, maybe the group has ruined me, because I don't believe them. We all need our comforts but replacing my Jo Malone perfume would be the absolute last thing on my mind, much less posting about it on a FB group. They have no shame.
Imagine being on a hospital ward, feeling ill, having gone through chemo, barely able to eat or hold liquid down, and then some muppet comes along and starts spraying Jo Malone perfume

I used to seriously worry about her before I was kicked off that selling group. Not 'losing sleep' type worry - but she almost always sells multiples of everything. She must spend an absolute fortune. Mind you she is by no means the only Freak with what looks like serious over-buying issues.

Interestingly, over on Nadine's group there is a lot of discussion about cutting back, not being drawn in to buying due to FOMO.

I know that's only a small number of people compared with the number of Freaks, but I'm beginning to wonder if the tide has turned. The current kit sales were sluggish and I see people (not on the Freaks group obviously as I'm banned) saying they won't buy kits anymore.

I also wonder what Hirons is thinking now, in terms of the price point for her forthcoming skincare range 🤔 I shall boycott it on principle but I should think she'll need to make it competitive.
I can't think of a single minuscule gap in the skincare market that Nana could possibly fill. I feel it's utterly over saturated with influencers/celebs/derms already having launched their own version of the 'perfect' skincare collection. Every single skincare beauty solution is there for us at every price point. The hideous Sali Hughes just about got away with it (and even then, she didn't put her own money into it, but did a collab instead) but this can't possibly go on.

As it's been said before, I really think she's got nothing new to offer. And in the middle of a cost of living nightmare for us here in the UK, she needs to be very very careful she doesn't bite the hand that feeds.

In short, I reckon she's fucked. Here's hoping.
