I am starting to think we just need to accept that while she'll definitely love the child and try and be a good mum, she's just one of those crappy people who's so self absorbed it's physically impossible for them to ever consider putting anyone else's needs ahead of their own. I think we had high hopes this might have been a wake up call but it is what it is.

I think it says everything with the fact the minute Dianne's away Joe is suddenly running over there every day like her lap dog. Zoe can't handle being around anyone who doesn't do exactly what she wants or agrees with her every thought. It's really sad.

Zoe totally picked her because she won’t be held accountable to this woman.
Exactly that! Zoe didn’t want someone who would actually tell her all her coping mechanisms are harmful to herself and wrong. She wanted another yes man who would enable her hermit coach potato life and tell her hiding from/postponing her problems when they make her feel a teeny bit stressed is a healthy way to go about life.

I think it's actually very toxic for Alfie to be posting "I don't want a dad bod" - if a woman was posting something similar about not wanting to be a chubby mum, you can guarantee she'd get tonnes of flack for bodyshaming. There is a lot of unspoken pressure on men to have a certain physique and it's just as damaging as female bodyshaming. Besides, dad bods are cute AF and nobody really cares what you look like once you've procreated tbh.

Men will always assume what they find attractive in other men is what women find attract when thats not the case 9/10 times. That being said I can imagine Zoe to be the type to prod him and tell him how huge he is compared to teeny peahead

My partner will unashamedly tell you he's put on a bit of weight over the last couple of years because he's been too busy looking after me when I was ill throughout my pregnancy and then helping looking after gis son meaning he doesn't have as much time to exercise.

We all know where Aldie three dinners have a gut next year, it won't be for any of these reasons.

100% this. My partner is the same too. Shows me a stupidly hench man with arms the size of my entire torso and says "Wouldn't you love it if I was like this?" and acts surprised when I say no! I think it's just men being men tbh. I think it'd get noticed if he did put on weight and people would definitely talk about it here (he'd probably get called the toad instead of the frog knowing Tattle) but I (personally) don't care about other peoples body size/shape. I don't know why he's so concerned and using the phrase "dad bod" like it's a bad thing.

Probably because Alfie (and Zoe for that matter) doesn't have any brain cells in that huge head of his, or a personality, and is only concerned with his appearance. Vain, vacuous people. Like not having a dad bod equals being a good dad. No Alfie, looking good yourself doesn't mean people will see you as this cool young dad. Being there, loving and caring for your daughter will.

How do we know it’s not the same pool though?
Because everything Alfie buys for the garden is left to fall into disrepair. The previous pool was no exception and was left to rot in the garden - they put it up in the summer and it was still there in a background of a vlog by February the next year. It's almost certainly gone in a skip. There's a whole list of the expensive and since discarded items Alfie has wasted on his wiki page.

If Zoe didn't have her fast metabolism, would she be downing fried food and sugary items? Somehow, she isn't able to gain weight no matter what she eats, so she makes no effort to take care of herself. Personally, I always strugged with weight and during lockdown, I put on a huge amount of weight and I feel so heavy and lazy all the time. But I am trying to eat healthier and move a lot but it is so hard. Point is, if she had a body like mine I highly doubt if she would be following the same lifestyle as she is now.

She doesn't eat as much as you think. She posts lots of junk food on social media but I guarantee she doesn't eat most of it. She picks at her food, e.g. in one vlog admits to eating a bite of a cupcake and being 'full'. Don't let her Instagram stories of pancake stacks and greasy pizzas fool you or make make you feel bad about yourself - she is leaving most of it behind. Or if she is eating it all, it'll be the only thing she eats that day.

Although metabolic rate does vary slightly between individuals, it doesn't vary enough for someone to be able to not gain weight despite eating 3000 calories of Domino's each day and not exercising (unless they have a rare metabolic disorder). She can't defy physics, so the explanation is that she is just not eating that many calories.

This isn’t completely true. I’m naturally incredibly slim and I eat more than enough calories each day. I didn’t grow properly when my mum was pregnant with me and when I was born I weighed a bag of sugar and had tiny bones and as I’ve grown throughout my life I’ve never been able to put on much weight. I’ve seen countless specialists and I’m still with a dietician and all of them just say that I was born with a very fast metabolism and it’s just carried on being fast since and I’m now 31 years old. My parents are both tall and slim so I probably would’ve been tall and slim too if I developed properly whereas I’m only 5ft 3. I do feel my arms are longer than they should be for my height, I think they grew the normal amount but the rest of my body just didn’t.

Basically what I’m trying to say is that some people are just naturally (genetically or just the way they developed) slim and don’t put on weight easily because their metabolism just hasn’t slowed down throughout their life. A specialist told me that it’s quite rare but it does happen. I also have an underactive thyroid which means I should technically put on weight but I barely did! They didn’t even expect me to start my period but I did start it when I was 13.5 years old - younger than my mum was.

I appreciate the anecdote but what I'm saying is backed up by science, and I don't see anything in your anecdote which invalidates what I said. Like I said in my post, apart from rare metabolic variations (as in your case), most people's metabolism doesn't vary more than 200-300kcals between each other. If you are interested in the science behind this, I recommend reading this article: https://examine.com/nutrition/does-metabolism-vary-between-two-people/

I never claimed that rare cases don't exist, in fact I explicitly recognised that they do - so again I'm not understanding what is incorrect in my post. The point I'm making is that it's highly unlikely that Zoe falls into the category of having a rare freakishly fast metabolism. In the past she has talked about skipping breakfast and from her vlogs we can see with our own eyes that she rarely finishes the food on her plate, which is a much simpler explanation for her weight.

Basically he exercises once every never and he thinks by doing that, he’ll magically be ripped.. look at that pelaton bike he bought, when did he last use that? I irritates me that these two splash their cash on anything and everything yet they’re so wasteful!

I’m not saying in the slightest that Zoe has what I have. She more than likely either doesn’t eat enough calories which is impossible for us to know since we don’t see her whole day’s worth of eating or she has a fast metabolism or combination of both. However a lot of the junk food she eats won’t equate to her putting on weight anyways unless she’s eating 3 meals a day aswell as a lot of snacking on top. She’s always been quite slim (and that hasn’t changed throughout her twenties like it normally does for women, women’s weight can fluctuate so much due to hormones, having children, illnesses etc) so I’m leaning towards her having a more faster metabolism naturally but also potentially not eating properly or a balanced diet.

I don’t understand who her audience is. They seem to go after the teenage audience, yet the swipe up for the restock of the baby shop that gifted her stuff is £12.50 for one bib, £50 for a blanket!! That’s bonkers money

Yeeep but then they review vibrators. And then they have a list of things to do for Autumn. And then they discuss orgasms. And then it's all about cheeseboards. It doesn't know what it wants to be. It's aimed at everyone, they have no direction, no USP, no goal.

It’s definitely aimed at people in their 20-30s. Those knitted tops were quite on trend (especially on TikTok) in autumn. Patterned knits were everywhere especially on places like Zara and asos. I myself as a 25 year old have a blue knitted cardigan covered in oranges because I do like the trend.

I think they think they’re doing a great job targeting younger millenial women, but they often post things which are out of touch or seen as frivolous to most people in their demographic!

I also think a lot of what they post can be found on similar websites that are also targeted at women that age. But because it’s coming from a YouTubers brand it just seems awkward & out of place.

It’s crazy to me how she wouldn’t *want* to treat her anxiety properly. I had severe anxiety and saw a psychologist for 24 sessions and it was serious hard work but I managed to recover completely and now anxiety doesn’t effect me anymore. I went from being unable to leave my house to working a full time job. She’s not even seeing a proper psychologist which is crazy to me because she can afford to (which she’s very lucky to have the luxury of as many people can’t afford therapy they need). In the UK, anyone can do a counselling course and become a counsellor - but it takes 5 years of uni to become a psychologist (including a Masters) and they’re highly skilled. I know she’s lazy and probably can’t be bothered to do the work but if anxiety effects her as much as she says, why would she not want to work to get rid of it? Like I said, it took me 24 sessions to get rid of the majority of my anxiety difficulties. Five years with no progress is ridiculous and her ‘therapist’ is very unethical in the fact she continues to see her, when it’s clearly not working. Any decent professional would be evaluating it and saying “I need to refer you to someone more specialist”, but she’s clearly just in it for the easy money.
Depressing really, that she’s content to fester in her house with severe anxiety, when there’s so much more to life that she could be experiencing, and chooses not to.
