Can someone explain the lumea pls? How often are you required to do it? And the main one does it hurt?
You need to shave the areas you want to get done before, because otherwise the hair will burn and over time make the device less efficident. No epilation/waxing, etc, just shaving is fine. Can someone explain the lumea pls? How often are you required to do it? And the main one does it hurt?
Start with a nice cleanser that makes cleansing a pleasure - I’d recommend Superfacialist cleaning oil if you like orangey scents - it’s gorgeous and makes cleansing a joy. Use a nice warm cloth to remove and inhale the nice scent.Hey everyone,
After some advice and for some reason can’t create my own thread. So here goes!
My skin is awful at the min! I’m 39 year old mum of two and I’ve abandoned my skincare for years! Where do I start?
This is pretty much what I was going to say. It doesn't hurt generally, maybe just some warmth, but on really sensitive areas it might feel like when you get flicked by an elastic band! You need to shave the areas you want to get done before, because otherwise the hair will burn and over time make the device less efficident. You can either select an intensity or the device will select one automatically, depends which type you get and simply press it lightly on the area of skin and press it. A very quick bright lightburst will happen, then you move the device a little bit and do it again, until the entire area is covered. It can sting a bit, depending on area but you can always lower the intensity. you shouldn't use it on the same area multiple times over during the same "session" and don't apply it on moles. Generally, you do it maybe every week or every other week until the hair is gone and then maybe once a month for upkeep.
I used to have a Lumea, now have a Braun IPL, which I prefer for handling, but overall, they are very similar. Make sure that your hair and hair colour are suitable for IPL, it doesn't work on red and very light hair and doesn't work on dark skin - basically the lighter your skin and darker the hair, the better it works.
What aren't you happy with?If spots/oiliness then a good toner helps (I love juicy greens by tropic) If dry/lack lustre then a nice serum. If aging concerns retinol is a good shout but you've got to be really good with reapplying spf at this time of year as it increases sensitivity to the sun xHey everyone,

I wish I could say same, but I am no where near blessed in that departmentThey are lovely dresses but as a woman with a fuller bust, I'd look like I had a pack of spuds down my top.
Yeah that's a criticism I have of the brand, you've got to have a certain sort of bust for the dresses. They are lovely dresses but as a woman with a fuller bust, I'd look like I had a pack of spuds down my top.
I love my Uniqlo round mini shoulder bag, I wear it crossbody and it fits quite a lotPlease could I have your recs for an everyday, light weight cross body bag, big enough to fit all the usual gumpf in? Thank you!

Thx both. I might keep an eye out for any offers and invest in one. This is pretty much what I was going to say. It doesn't hurt generally, maybe just some warmth, but on really sensitive areas it might feel like when you get flicked by an elastic band!
You start off using it every fortnight then reduce the frequency, so if you keep up with it, you might be only using it once every 6 months. Hair grows back slower and finer. It does take a while to kick in so when you use it the first time and it starts to grow back a few days later, that doesn't mean it isn't working. It can take a few goes for you to get a week or more of smoothness. Once you have been using it a while the effects are pretty much permanent, but of course the moment you stop, it'll grow back, albeit fewer and finer hairs.
