If I had to bet, I would say she has dipped into what little book money is left after self justification of making a batch of soup and “writing 2000 words”. Work - innit.

What really annoys me is the 'so people on benefits can't have nice things?' grifter come back. People on benefits can have nice things. Please, buy the bottle of wine, have lovely nails. In any way possible, make this your best life.

People who need money for life events, like moving house, however can't have nice things. That just a universal fact. Need money for something important? No nice things.

yeah, i think forest school is pretty much like the trips we'd have in primary school to the woods. where you'd tick off the trees you saw and, if you were lucky, you'd find an owl pellet

for 35 quid a session

I found this shocking from ‘gentle’ parenting expert Bex! 6:30am isn’t actually that early. A lot of families have to get up that early to get their kids ready for school and themselves ready for work! Most children haven’t been trained to leave mummy to have a lie in and make their own breakfast at 6 years old!

I do sympathise with the insomnia, I’ve had it for years, but you can’t take medication that means you are ‘out of it’ and asleep whilst your 7 year old is awake. You just have to be awake when your kids are. I don’t even mean the Alexa porn issue , I’m more thinking of accidentally falling down the stairs/having some kind of accident and shouting for help but mummy is asleep. ‘Alexa what is a tit wank?’ is actually probably one of the least bad things that can happen.

On the bright side, at last some book activity. It’s looking good. She didn’t give herself the wrong deadline though, she didn’t need 18 months, as all she has actually done is nothing for 12 months and now started working on it properly. I hope she has enough money left for printing and postage!

I refuse to use Alexa so I'm not sure I understand this, is the child watching dodgy YouTube then asking Alexa, or is Alexa responding to YouTube content?

Either way, not sure you can start a tweet with "I heavily moderate the media my child consumes" follow it with "I'm effectively unconscious in the morning and unable to supervise my child's use of the internet" then finish with a PSA/parenting tip but I don't have kids so perhaps I'm being too judgemental.

Whinging about children being awake and having fun at 6:30am is pretty funny tbh, seems like she genuinely doesn't realise that most people are up and about by then!
