I recall reading that after the engagement was announced a courtier told Charles they needed Harry's decision on some minor royal matter and Charles replied "No point in asking Harry, he's bleep-struck at the moment." and Charles made the decision.

I believe the sex tape has been doctored - it's her head that has been magically put on a porn star's body (I don't know how they do that, but I've read it's happening a lot and the porn stars are annoyed as they're not getting the full credit for their work). Besides, the body in the footage is not that of Meghan's (without meaning to sound overly rude, she has a square shape and bird-like legs, whereas the woman in the widely-circulated footage - and photos - is voluptuous with shapely legs).
The operative word here is "seen as the boring ones". It's just a smokescreen of an image, not necessarily relating to the truth. I have read George VI cheated on Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon with her blessing, I don't know how true that is though.
I lost my thoughts a bit during my previous post (last page), because when I wrote all that about Harry and Charles, I forgot to add that William (and Kate!) partied just as hard and as much as Harry back in the day, there are pictures of William peeing in public (and his Willy in full sight!) and articles on Kate drinking Harry (and I think Will as well) under the table. Kate as girlfriend wasn't all that important to protect and prop-up (image wise), but Will as heir is and his image is being kept squeaky clean, incl that "boring (dad)" persona and "steady Will" in the past.
The truth is Will was as wild as Harry, but Harry is just the spare and a welcome distraction from Will's antics and a nice prop for "good dad" Charles. (Don't get this wrong, Charles isn't a terrible parent at all, but regardless whether he is or isn't a great dad, he needs a "great dad" image and Harry was used for that by Charles's PR; Liz II and Phil weren't parents of the year either, for many reasons).
They all have dirt sticking to them and their images don't reflect their personalities or reality, but their status and line in the pecking order.
As awful as Meghan is (truly), Meghan is the best thing to have happened to Kate. She got an image boost by magnanimous proportions and in spite of people thinking how "Kate has never put a foot wrong", Kate's missteps during diplomatic tours have been of epic proportions and worse than any "omg-Meghan-walked-in-front-of-Harry" (Harry motions to M sometimes to go ahead to be fair) could ever be (receptions in Malaysia where Kate came in sky high heels and low cut cleavage even though being specifically asked not to wear any heels and dress modestly; her skirt blowing up on arrivals, departures and at war memorials(!!) showing her bare bottom more times than anyone could count, literally ignoring other royals and heads-of-state (king Felipe of Spain, Felipe looked to shake hands but Will and Kate ignored him) and and and....!).

Where did you see the photos of William with his willy out? There is no way that would have been published in the British press as they have rules to follow regarding the royals.

How is flashing your bare bottom in front of the international press, dignitaries and diplomats not of epic proportions and an exaggeration? She did that over years, there were many calls over years in the press (even by Liz!!!) to bloody weigh her skirts and dresses. She even did the flashing in Asia at the wreath laying at a war memorial during a tour, only a few years ago (so the flashing wasn't some "accident" at the beginning, she frankly wouldn't learn over nearly 10 years).
Coming to a conservative muslim country and being asked by the king not to wear any heels (he hates the sound of clacking heels and loves his marble floors) and dress modestly, but then come with the lowest cleavage to date (at the time) in sky high heels is also a massive misstep.
Ignoring the king of Spain when he extends his hand in greeting is a massive misstep (by both Will and Kate).
These are missteps for any Jane and Joe in private, but in the professional world? In diplomacy? Utter shyte fests.
These things are all very well documented, by press and blogs.
If Meghan had done any of this, flashed just once or twice, ignored a head of state and purposefully dressed exactly the opposite than she was asked to by a (conservative) king (ie ignoring the laid out dress code), I could just imagine the vitriol. But since Meghan's own fck-ups, Kate has been elevated to sainthood image wise.
Will had his willy out to pee many years ago, before marriage. In which countries' press it was shown I don't know as I came across it much later, I do believe it was in the British press though and should still be online when looking for it. Articles telling you as much definitely will be when looking up "prince William peeing outside", coming across the picture might be harder, but some bloggers have it and tend to post it when asked for it.

Before anyone thinks this, esp Cambridge fans, no I don't hate them. But I've followed them a bit for a long time and I'm also realistic. They fudged up many times and put their feet wrong also many many times and many times it was unnecessary and utterly stupid and avoidable. I mean a weighted skirt would've avoided much of this, as would've adhering to dress codes and not being arrogant, but greeting someone when they extend their hand to you, at an event where you know the guest list of and know that people "above" you will be present.
Diana even said a long time ago that her biggest enemy was the wind, don't think we've seen her arse whilst greeting dignitaries and laying wreaths.
Btw the Camdridges's image was lacking in recent years and they were called out on many things, the flashing, not being prepared well enough on tours (Will openly laughingly saying he doesn't read his briefs), their massive spending (on renovations, Kate's wardrobe, which isn't thrifty at all and she doesn't rewear ("recycle") nearly as much as it's made out when the press feels nice and props her image up as "thrifty Kate loving High Street rewearing old clothes" and "hands-on parents Wills and Kate", what are the fulltime nanny and the part-time nannies for then? Before Louis came along the Cambridges had more nannies employed than the Waleses ever had, funny that; but you only ever see the one full time nanny, the part time nannies are kept in the background).

Diana also got a quite a flogging from Liz the queen mum for the black dress she wore when she was engaged to Charles, because it was strapless (too slutty!) and black (only appropriate for funerals and memorials according to ptotocol!), as well as this picture. The palace was appalled and Diana in tears over both instances, esp as she was very happy in her black dress and the queen mum gave her a nasty dressing down over it.

She also has Will's willy picture, if you have a Tumblr (or send an anonymous request without an account) she might post it and then take it down again after a while, she's done so before.This blogger claims to not hate the Cambs but she's extremely nit picky over them whilst giving the Ssuxes passes and always defends herself that "you didn't read properly" what she meant or wrote... So take that into account, but she is honest and is right with her criticism over the Cambridges (her defence of the Sussexes is questionable though). She has everything logged and I can't be bothered with that type of dedication, so I don't have any saved links to quickly give here as "proof", but simple google searches will give you all the proof you need very swiftly.
Kate's flashing pictures are easily found. Happened on tours to Canada, Australia, Malaysia, in the UK... Even Lizzie and her dresser were trying to get her to weigh her skirts but alas...
Anyway, you don't need a tumblr account and when clicking on the hashtags you find everything related to that person, easy to navigate if not familiar and you can send anonymous requests to ask for specific things like pics or events if you don't have an account, and this blog is the best person for that

I bring that stuff up, incl Diana, just to put things into perspective. The Ssuxes get a flogging (very deservedly so, seriously cannot stand those two), but the Cambridges sudden elevation and "can't and never did put a foot wrong" doesn't sit well with me either.
I don't particularly love or overly like any of them, though I do have a softish spot for Kate, but as I said I have followed them for quite a while and I call it as I see it. I won't ever say or defend the "never put a foot wrong" trope and narrative, because it simply isn't true.
They have improved quite a bit though over the past two or so years and Kate has become more confident and better at her job, which is good. She seems to have taken finally some speech giving lessons and has improved loads in that department.
Also easy to find should be the Irish guards thing for St Patrick's day. For 100 or so years the consort was always there, that means also Kate was there every year, then one year she didn't go and KP said "K skips this year because she doesn't want everyone to expect her to show up every year". I mean what in the fck.
Then HuffPost set up camp at KP so Kate could guest edit for a day. She didn't want to go to the HuffPost offices for "security reasons", so the whole office had to move to KP for a day. Well, Kate stayed whole 50 minutes, instead of the whole day(!!!) and was papped in the afternoon out shopping. There are virtually no pap pics of the Cambs during their off time due to an agreement, but the press was absolutely pissed off at that and published Kate's shopping trip.
That is seriously unprofessional and appalling behaviour. If you agree to an engagement, you make a whole office move their premises for a day over bs reasons and then show up late (even though it happens at your home!!) and then have the gall to just leave after less than an hour at said engagement/project... Yeah, that's some seriously crappy behaviour and performance.
Edit: No, I did not write "bare bottom" to "sensationalise an unfortunate weather mishap", she did not wear any knickers, not even a thong, quite easy to see, she did not even wear a slip or had her skirt/dress weighted, in spite of being at an airport, with windy conditions where wind is even more blown around due to the aircrafts and digintaries and press present (Oz, Canada).
In Malaysia, when she again flashed, she had at least a slip underneath, but soldiers there for the ceremony were holding her skirt down while she was laying the wreath.

She's had some lessons and has improved quite a bit and I love seeing that, but there's no denying what's happened and I think honesty and calling it like it is is the best way

Kate had their tennis court moved at A Hall, so she gets "a nicer view". The tennis court has been moved only some metres further, is now encroaching onto the neighbour's land (with his permission) and cost a fortune.
Then there's the 3 kitchens and so much more.
