based on royal autobiographies/biographies. Various stories it sounds like the boys were both brats and used to having their own way with Charles not wanting to upset them.men that grow up in those circles often see women as cheap (Harry and the girls he bight home with fiends in Spare) the stories o what they were like as younger boys in school/university.see the child see the man.
think after the gag order on the rose h stories I believe William had an affair, I can’t see Kate tolerating it when it’s too close to home.
A lot of this just comes down to people treating royal biographies and gossip cycles as if they’re confirmed fact, when in reality they’re often a mix of anecdote, interpretation, and speculation.

It’s also a huge leap to take isolated stories about behaviour in school or early adulthood and turn that into a fixed assumption about how someone behaves in their marriage decades later.

What is it with some people who are so desperate to push the idea that William had an affair?

That rumour is from around 2019, and we are now 7 years further down the line, yet people are still going on about that internet rumour without any evidence. After those rumours, Catherine invited Rose and her husband to her birthday with close friends and family. Rose and her husband were even seen walking with Catherine’s parents—do people really think her parents would be walking with his alleged mistress? Catherine was also seen dining and socialising with Rose at her home after those rumours.

Rose has had lawyers involved to deny it, and Catherine’s very close sister named her daughter Rose—something she would hardly do if there was any truth to that rumour.

Just because people keep repeating it—and let’s be honest, it’s often fans of a certain couple or anti-monarchists—doesn’t mean there is any truth to it.

It's not about sticking her with a name; 'Catherine' is her birthname. While the public calls her Kate, the media should respect her real name. She signs all her statements as Catherine, not Kate, and they still use her maiden name after 14 years of marriage.
You are totally missing what I'm saying. Of course Catherine is her birth name but she has been Kate her whole life. When they got engaged they obviously wanted people to start using her full name rather than the shortened Kate but it hasn't stuck. Of course she signs off as Catherine as she's in work mode and her signature on anything is a public record document. You don't know what she signs in private. Harry always called her Kate, Mike and zara tindell have called her Kate too.

Who cares if they use her maiden name years after marriage? I'm never offended when someone calls me by my birth name and I've been married 22 years.

I dont know why it bothers anyone when it clearly doesn't bother her

If I had cancer I'd be really pissed off with that ridiculous running round the woods video. It would have been more realistic to do a short video stating that she'd completed chemotherapy and thanking her medical team. Then maybe show her visiting cancer patients etc. I would like to hear her talk a little about her cancer experience and not just say its been tough.
Why would anyone be pissed off about a video of a woman celebrating that she completed chemo. Problem is then with you and not with her.

I have seen many videos of people who had/have cancer who where watching who said they did with tears in their eyes because everything she said and feels was what they were feeling. And they loved it. Of course you always have people who are negative. You can't please everyone.

But it's her journey. Her story. And she decides how she wants to tell it.

Glad Kate is doing well, but I’m sorry this made me laugh…

How much less could she possibly do? She worked so little before her illness that she was in no way missed this year. I’d love to see her do something meaningful when she’s ready to “go back to work” but I won’t hold my breath.

Any young mum with a cancer diagnosis is a tragedy as far as I’m concerned. Major abdominal surgery followed by chemotherapy is a lot to recover from, add to that the pressures of the media speculation and public interest, you wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I hope she continues to be cancer-free and eventually cured.
I don’t know for certain but she looks to be a very hands-on mum so why shouldn’t she work part time! And after all her health issues I wouldn’t blame her if she took a total step back. I know the RF are there at the taxpayers expense, but honestly I think they are so intrinsic to this country, I really couldn’t imagine the U.K. without them!

Things can go wrong with private healthcare just as they can with NHS and of course people can die of cancer whether they have access to private healthcare or not.
Slightly off topic but just wanted to point out most if not all private doctors also do some nhs work and I believe all doctors will have been trained through NHS hospitals. It only tends to be consultant grade doctors who do private work though so you’re more likely to get a more experienced more highly qualified doctor if you go private. Private healthcare is of course quicker but anyone with a cancer diagnosis in the NHS is treated as a priority. Also some private patients have to have treatment in NHS facilities as private hospitals don’t always have intensive care units and radiotherapy facilities etc. some complex surgeries can only be done in nhs hospitals as (paradoxically) they’re the only ones equipped to do them.
Someone on here said she could throw herself into charity work around cancer/healthcare and I fully agree. Work with McMillan and trips to hospices plus pushing the importance of early detection and screening programmes etc. I think princess Anne leads on the NHS stuff but she could hand it over to Catherine.
---

Yes ‘I’ve finished chemo, I’m out of the woods, thanks for all your support.’ or something similar would have done.
---

Don’t fret she’ll be part time, she was before the cancer and will continue to be. Just can’t resist pointing out queen elizabeth II died on 8th September 2022, almost 2 years ago to the day and worked almost to her dying breath. Indeed through her 75 year reign she always put her public role first even when she had four young children (one more than WandC). Of course she was born into a different era but it doesn’t appear her tireless work ethic and dedication to duty rubbed off much on her descendants.
Do we want a future head of state who doesn't put her children first? The fact that the late Queen put duty before her children is the reason why they have issues and are so emotionally stunted.
Her kids were raised by nannies and a host if other staff. Who would hold that up as a shining beacon for motherhood? Certainly not me.
I loved the late Queen but she was a shit mother

I don't think Kate ever assumes anything, or appears to have any level of entitlement whatsoever and I think that's what people warm to. Plus she's been the perfect image of a wife and mother up until now, someone almost too perfect to be true and yet having cancer has made her a lot more real to people. She looked so utterly vulnerable when she made her cancer announcement sitting on the bench in Windsor, and few Royals have shown that before.

I don’t know why they went with Lilibet when they have only ever referred to her as Lili when speaking about her. Lili would have been suffice as a nice name and tribute, the Lilibet seemed a bit of a calculated move.

Also that Easter message didn't need to pander to other religions. It's Easter.
I agree with this and this is absolutely not a dig at other religions. But I don't think any of them feel the need to drop Christian messages into their own celebrations and rightly so.

It’s a balance though right? I remember my mum saying that when she was in hospital the private chemo ward was next to the NHS one, and the people looked just as scared, just as ill in both. Cancer is cancer. Yes she hasn’t had to worry about paying her bills or taking time off work, but she has had to worry about international media scrutiny and speculation for 9 months. It’s not like she’s had it easy. She’s not the first person or mother of young children to have cancer, but she is the first to have to go through it within the pressure cooker of the royal family the press spotlight. Even Charles as Head of State was granted more privacy and grace than her

Nicknames can be very intimate. A beloved aunt has a nickname for me, and she's one of very few people to have ever used it. For me it's endearing and signifies our bond from when she looked after me all through the decades to now when I look after her.

I would be beyond raging if anyone gazzumped it as a faux tribute to me when they barely know me, or the people who used that nickname.

But it must be even more galling when your entire life was in the public eye and it was one of the few things you had that separated you from that public persona always on display. TLQ didn't deserve that.

There are a million stories they would chose before cancer. There are three young children involved for starters. Maybe she had/has an eating disorder, maybe she doesn’t, that’s none of our business and I hope one day it will stop being something people use as a slur against someone. It’s an illness and anyone with one no matter who they are deserves support and empathy.

My theory - there was never cancer. Will was cheating. Kate stopped eating, was frightfully thin even for her before she disappeared from public eye. She wanted out. Cheating was her deal breaker. The Royals go into full crisis mode. Weeks and months of negotiations and damage control. Will puts his back up at her demands as princes and kings have always had discreet indescretions. Kate stays firm and won't stay in marriage unless therapy is had and faithfulness is restored. She's out of there if mistress(es) remain. The public disrupt the work being done with crazy theories about why Kate had disappeared. They obviously can't be truthful and reveal what's really going on - that the couple have separated due to Will cheating and Kate refusing to turn a blind eye as was expected of Royal wives before her and that they are in therapy to see if it can be repaired. So cancer story is concocted. Kate is seen without her engagement ring. She refuses to wear it. It reminds her of Charles' cheating and the mess with Diana and now her own mess with Will. She agrees to do a video, but will not wear engagement ring. Cancer story is bought into by public. Much work remains to be done to save marriage. Wills is drinking a lot and even does public engagements where he is visibly swaying and unsteady on his feet. Eventually the couple decide on their future together. A new start. The over the top video is released showcasing their love commitment and happy family. Also showing mistresses that Kate has won. Will is comitted to marriage and monarchy. Kate refuses to ever wear the engagement ring again. As far as she is concerned it is representative of toxic traits of royal life. She wears a new ring to symbolise their new start. It was a close one. Their divorce would have been the end of the monarchy. It was incredibly high stakes. Kate had a lot of power in the negotiations. Will was told to grow up and keep it in his pants. They were afforded all the time they needed. Lying to the public with some help from media was a necessary tool to protect the monarchy. Popularity is their lifeline. Let's see how long it lasts.
You need help.

A new photo has been released to mark Princess Charlotte’s 10th birthday. It was taken earlier this year by her mother while hiking in Cumbria, using her iPhone.

She can't win whatever she does. If she focuses too much on her medical team people will start complaining that she got a top private team and not NHS etc.

I don't think she should suddenly have to start being a top cancer campaigner either. Just because you go through something doesn't mean you necessarily want to focus your life and work around it in the future. Some people do and that's great for them, but some just want to put it firmly behind them. Chemo is chemo, cancer is cancer, she has clearly been seriously ill and I imagine they felt they came close to losing her at a point, she has obviously been through the ringer and if she wants to never talk about it again then that's a choice she is allowed to make. I think there is a pressure these days to be 100% open about your trauma or experience when that isn't what helps everybody

Would her being open and a key cancer campaigner be amazing and probably do a lot of good? Absolutely. Should she have to just because she's been through it? Absolutely not.

The princess of Wales is always Diana in my mind. I dont link it with Kate Catherine. I still think of Charles as Prince Charles. I dont look at Edward and associate him with Duke of Edinburgh.
We call them by the names we've typically known them as.
Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, Prince Charles, Princess Anne.
Sophie is just Sophie, Kate is just Kate and even Camilla is just camilla.
When I see mention of the Queen, I think immediately of Queen Elizabeth and never Camilla although I'm delighted that she's the new Queen.
I'm sure they don't give a shit what anyone calls them or what title they use as long as it's not derogatory.
Kate turns and smiles, waves etc when crowds call for Kate. I've yet to see her correct anyone

I for one am glad she’s got a new ring. Diana’s ring was awful and god knows why William ever thought it was a good idea to use a ring from such an unhappy marriage 🤦‍♀️

I would say much of that is the tabloid talk of her “focusing her entire life on marrying William and becoming the Princess Of Wales”. I have always found that to be unfair. I would say none of us know much about her - or their relationship.
There is nothing to suggest any need or want to divorce. I know we are on a gossip site - but I can’t find any seeds of any real gossip.
Catherine is the first POW to have a degree and she clearly loves to be outdoors doing sporty things, that doesn't sound like someone just sitting around waiting to wear a gown and tiara to me.
She sounds like she has a very full and fulfilling life.

Someone said Kate gives as good as she gets on Reddit. Then showed pictures where she wasn’t airbrushed by the tabloids.
plus the don’t touch me video from the fireplace interview.
they definitely weren’t happy at that point but just thought I’d ask about the rumoured physical fights.
seemed pretty interesting with the dates on sep living arrangements, pippa saying I’m outta there etc.
wanted to see if this thread agreed
Nobody knows whether Catherine ‘gives as good as she gets’, so that is pure speculation. I do not even know what point you are trying to make with those pictures, especially when some so-called fans of a certain couple are known to share edited or deliberately unflattering images of Catherine to make her look worse.

That fireplace clip was a tiny moment ripped out of context. Two minutes later in the same programme, William had his hand on her shoulder and they seemed absolutely fine. So drawing the conclusion from a two-second clip that they were unhappy is absurd.

As for these supposed physical fights, where is the proof? Just because certain fans keep repeating these rumours does not make them true. The same goes for the claims about separate living arrangements. If that were really happening, it is highly unlikely it would have remained hidden for years without anyone credible exposing it.

Those rumours have been pushed for years by people determined to believe the worst. They holiday together regularly, which rather undermines the fantasy of a secret split. And Pippa never said any such thing either. That appears to be more social media fiction with no basis in reality.

You really need to stop getting your information from those rabid haters of Catherine and William, and repeating their nonsense is embarrassing.
