What do you want to rant about today? #42

I’ve just had to cancel a trip I really wanted to go on because I can’t afford it anymore. It’s not as if I want a yacht or a penthouse apartment, I just want to live my best life and pay for my hobbies and having a nice time, which I would have been able to do on this wage five years ago.

Is anyone else just skint and knackered and completely fed up with everything? What is the bloody point if I’m just working to pay to exist?

My GP surgery rang me 3 weeks ago to book in to check my blood pressure, they then cancelled the appointment & put some snotty msg on my NHS app saying 'appointment cancelled, rang patient no reply' so I rang back last week made another appointment & yet again its been cancelled & the same msg has been put on, I can't be arsed to make yet another appointment for it to most probably be cancelled.

This makes me angry because every other country is allowed to fly their flag for their team, but no, English = racist apparently 🤢 i don't think it's a good idea teaching kids that they are racist for supporting their football team. What effed up thinking that is. No wonder young boys grow up pissed off if they are told from they off that white English boys are all evil and stupid etc. 🤢

I bet Iranian and Iraqi fans can fly their flag in this country with no intervention...

At least Sainsbury's had England flags yesterday instore. I was actually surprised they dared.
Why are you getting angry for? 99.999% chance it didn't happen.

It’s the second week with a different Evri driver to my usual driver and both times they have delivered my parcel 2 doors down from me. We live on a row of terraces ffs. Both to the same wrong house each time.

You can get it checked for free in the chemist but you might need to be a certain age. Over 40 I think

Same here in Ireland. God forbid you have an Irish tricolour flying anywhere. You're immediately deemed racist/far right. But Iranian and Palestine flags are able to be flown with zero issues. duck off.

Shithouse.

Completely agree.

I appreciate that I'm in a fortunate position in that I earn what's classed as a decent salary. However I don't live lavishly (I cut my own hair, have never had a manicure, don't buy coffees, we have takeaways or go out for a meal maybe every other month if that).and despite all that I still find my money doesn't go very far, even if I don't spend on all those extras it's the basics that are so expensive now. My shopping costs double despite the fact I buy less! I'm being nagged by a friend to go for a weekend away with her, but that's £500 minimum which I don't have spare from my salary and am reluctant to take out of my savings.

There were schoolkids told off at school last year which made the press, and it is happening. Also this is a rant thread so I can vent some steam here. Policing my anger on a rant thread seems odd.
How odd I have the person that's replied to you on ignore 😂 I can guess why and what they've said 🙄

Cash only places. I get it,I fully understand why businesses do it,but...I am in Norfolk in a small village. It has 1 cash point that's free to use about 15/20 minutes walk,so half hour ISH there and back.Everything around me is pretty much cash only. Yes,ok I could draw more out,but the more you draw the more you spend. Then they huff and puff at the counter when you hand then a £20 note for a pound purchase. What do you want me to do exactly ? They surely must lose out in the long run by not accepting card payments

I am quite a placid person IRL and I am so tired of all the conflict and drama going on in both my personal life with inlaws and husband and colleagues at work. Wish they would alll sort it out, I can't be bothered.

I never watch normal TV, especially the "News".Unfortunately I am on holiday and it happened to be on in the background and I am actually crying and so very angry of what I have just heard and read. That poor baby Preston Davey it's actually made me feel physically sick and I cannot type what I actually want to on here. I am appalled, and so angry to hear the same old excuses and that "reviews and investigations" will be done. Too bleeping late now. Oldham again, wtf do these people in "authority" actually do . I am sickened
They should all be in prison for manslaughter

Very fed up having to arrange meetups for drinks, me and a friend from a college course are continuously making suggestions as whilst there are people with commitments there's also a good chunk of people that have all the time in the world yet they won't commit to anything. We both have jobs and still try to arrange things as best as possible but increasingly it's falling flat. I think I'm more fed up with the fact that I'm generally always available in the evenings since I typically finish work before 5. Note to myself book something be it a gig or cinema ticket more often. At least the foreigners in my group chat are upfront if they can't make a certain date plus they actually have commitments but they do their best to meet up.
