From the previous thread:

A work vehicle signed out to me has been given a speeding ticket. Except I was doing something elsewhere 20 minutes before the offence, I know the road is 30mph (vehicle clocked at 44mph) and I know there are often speed traps in the location where it was clocked. I genuinely don’t think I was driving and have a vague recollection of giving the keys to someone else but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve asked my manager to check the yard CCTV and the other in-car systems but they haven’t got back to me yet and I doubt I will hear until tomorrow now. Argh. This is going to stress me out all evening.
In-car data proves it wasn't me driving. Phew!

I never watch normal TV, especially the "News".Unfortunately I am on holiday and it happened to be on in the background and I am actually crying and so very angry of what I have just heard and read. That poor baby Preston Davey it's actually made me feel physically sick and I cannot type what I actually want to on here. I am appalled, and so angry to hear the same old excuses and that "reviews and investigations" will be done. Too fucking late now. Oldham again, wtf do these people in "authority" actually do . I am sickened

We've had builders in doing some work. Was meant to be 4 weeks, were now on week 6 as other trades have let them down. I'm at home most days so have been offering drinks, biscuits and even made bacon buttys a few times or grabbed them something like a sausage roll if I've nipped out (3 of them).

Uber eats turned up at the door at lunch today- they'd ordered a McDonald's (for all of them)and not one thought to ask me if I wanted anything. Told them as much as well and said they can make their own tea and coffee tomorrow. They laughed it off but I'm not going to be so accommodating tomorrow

To be fair, mine is a DAB/FM radio and many of the stations are now DAB+, so they're starting to switch off the older signals. It's a pain in the arse and there are very few left hence I'm on the Greatest Hits. But because it's for the kitchen and background only, I cannot be arsed to upgrade.
How annoying. Technological advancement and landfill seem to go hand in hand these days ☹

My nephew took in an England flag in school today over the victory of England's win last night
The headteacher binned them and called them racist
She won't complain because she's a pussy

I’ve just had to cancel a trip I really wanted to go on because I can’t afford it anymore. It’s not as if I want a yacht or a penthouse apartment, I just want to live my best life and pay for my hobbies and having a nice time, which I would have been able to do on this wage five years ago.

Is anyone else just skint and knackered and completely fed up with everything? What is the bloody point if I’m just working to pay to exist?

This makes me angry because every other country is allowed to fly their flag for their team, but no, English = racist apparently 🤢 i don't think it's a good idea teaching kids that they are racist for supporting their football team. What effed up thinking that is. No wonder young boys grow up pissed off if they are told from they off that white English boys are all evil and stupid etc. 🤢

I bet Iranian and Iraqi fans can fly their flag in this country with no intervention...

At least Sainsbury's had England flags yesterday instore. I was actually surprised they dared.

I’m currently on holiday. Nice all inclusive and wasn’t cheap. Mix of Brits, Irish, German and Dutch so my rant isn’t exclusive to any nationality.

People laying out towels at 7am wtf. People need to get a life. Seen children sunburnt, again wtf. Why aren’t these kids in rash vests and spf?? I’m seeing parents apply sunscreen as their children play in the pool, which is stupid as it’ll just wash off.

The lack of parenting by some people here is infuriating too. I’ve had to protect my toddler on the slides by telling older kids to wait to come down them. And they look at me with the most dumb expression like no one has ever given them instructions before. Parents too busy chatting and boozing to be present and actually check what their kids are doing.

I'm seriously pissed off as our kids have decided to entertain Dad at home on Sunday by means of a BBQ. I've just had to order an extra food shop but if they think I'm doing any of it they've got another thing coming. He does fuck all for me on mother's day ever, so I'm not giving him a happy disney dad day thanks all the same.

Same here in Ireland. God forbid you have an Irish tricolour flying anywhere. You're immediately deemed racist/far right. But Iranian and Palestine flags are able to be flown with zero issues. Fuck off.

Shithouse.

Absenting parenting is def a thing these days. When I have my grandkids I make a huge effort to engage with them, and put my phone down on silent and leave there.

More of a AITA?

There's a big backstory to this, but would you be upset if your gran had been giving your cousins a few hundred £s week and you got nothing? But the worst thing is your own father is the one getting the money from the bank to give to them and he's lied about it? I have proof this has been happening for years (it amounts to 10s of thousands)
It's not the money, it's the fact that I've been lied to, and my grandparents always openly favoured my cousins and have indulged them all their lives (time, energy, school pick-ups, sleepovers, holidays, gifts etc and I was lucky if they just took an interest in me when I visited). My dad has said for years that because we're not part of that *named* family we will never get a look in. So why would he help her do this?

Katie Price and her husband. Back together again? I thought she was embarrassed and done with him.
Sick of seeing them on my Facebook. I keep hiding the videos and posts and they keep popping up.

For some reason I have had a bit of a allergic reaction to Strawberries ! I ate some last night and my lips immediately swelled up and still like it this morning. Never had this happen before 🤷
Allergies can set on anytime in life. I had a friend who around the age of thirty suddenly became allergic to everything going. Hairdye started it off, the hairdresser had to call an ambulance. Now she’s allergic to shellfish, latex and a bajillion other random things.
I would say get yourself tested asap.
