I need to reignite this thread to say how much Jodi and Kian give me the ick when they post stuff like this

Absolute doses. Don’t think they are well liked in Sligo much either. There’s a whole set of them in the town they live in that the real locals can’t stand. All surfer, hipster guff.

Jodie is like the girl who did well at 16 and has held on to it forever, didn’t develop a personality much past it.

Went last night, enjoyed it but they should’ve put a stop to it when Stephen died, there I said it. Some bands can deal with a member leaving but even he’d left in normal circumstances I would probably be thinking the same. Weird that they didn’t choose Dublin, weird that they didn’t mention Mikey wasn’t going to bother with most of it. May as well have been call the Cashgrab Tour, I’d have admired them for it. Look at all the ‘reunion’ tours that have happened, I don’t blame them, and everyone around me was enjoying it too but the time’s up lads, no shame in ending it!
Westlife in the autumn- has Mark actually left due to illness? Not too bothered about Mark usually but his voice along with Shane’s is ‘Westlife’, won’t be the same I’m sure.
But 5ive last year?!! Really surprised me how much I loved it!!!

Ronan on Nicky Byrne’s podcast today. I thought he came across much better than he did in the documentary but clearly very bitter about Louis and blames him for his career downfall. Personally I think maybe it’s the fact he was marketed as the boy next door that mums and grannies loved who then shagged his young back up dancer while his with was at home with 3 young kids…

Met Westlife as a 12 year old in Great Ormond Street, you’d think by that they’d have to be nice, majority of them weren’t so, Shane definitely didn’t want to be there and made no secret of that. Mark was the loveliest and seemed most genuine followed by Kian. Bryan and Nicky pleasant but going through the motions.

Shane must be happy because he went bankrupt, then his wife did so I imagine anything that keeps the money coming in.

It’s bad they sold it as a Boyzone concert using his photos and kept saying he was there and he clearly is barely involved - I don’t know why he bothered after the doc. Probably just money thing but what’s the point?

It’s like Westlife selling this tour with 3 of them… we all know Mark has left the group - they just don’t want to confirm so people will buy tickets in hope or don’t know enough to know it’s not the full line up.

I know this will sound very “my third cousin twice removed” but my uncle’s best friend is a retired Garda and was called to Yvonne and Ronan Keating’s home in Malahide more than once for domestic disturbances…. He could be very handsy apparently. Never did like him once I heard that.

I heard that happened because the wife caught him in bed with Brian Kennedy (singer not known outside Ireland)

I think Mark would want to come back but I’m a little concerned how serious his health issues may be. Obviously he’s entitled to privacy and he’s not gone in to too much detail, but the length of time he’s needed to recover and also the weight loss I’ve seen in him concerns me.

I wish they would be honest about Mark. I get he doesn’t want to reveal his diagnosis but in some ways the speculation is worse. I also wonder if the remaining three know if he doesn’t come back and they announce that, they are finished. Hence the vagueness and Mark recording for the album but not touring.

Ive said already here that Shane being such an ass to me twice really put me off them. (Never meet your Heros) but without Mark I think they sound terrible

Nicky I agree can sing. Kian not so much. I can’t believe he’s miming on their tour. Let him and Nicky made a huge deal about not getting to sing and Kian is miming.

Years ago I would have said Shane has the best voice but now I think it’s Mark.

Mark's always clearly had the best voice by far.

Ok I'm such a 90's boy and baby ! I was a massive boyzone fan. Also like Westlife too but boyzone were my number one growing up

I've met Ronan, Shane and Keith at different times over the years but all after the big boyzone fame time. Ronan was grand. Not overly friendly which disappointed me, I wanted us to be bestie but I have to say not rude. Stopped and took pics each time.
Him and storm seem to be living the high life in their big mansion at the minute and most of the kids like with him and it's always fancy dinners and drinks etc. I've seen before that they've hired in chefs for big events. Which if I had the money I would deffs do too

Keith I've only met drunk. He's never been sober in the times I've met him. So he's never chatted when stopping for pics, but only cos he couldn't speak not for being rude although recently I seen clips of him and Brian mc Fadden on their boyzlife tour and Keith made a few points about drinking tea and having no alcohol so I dunno if he's cleaning up his act lol. He seems like a good family man and loves his kids.

Shane has been so lovely when I've met him. So down to earth and normal and made time for everyone. Him and his wife at the start of covid found it hard being stuck in each others pockets cos they were so used to him always away working so they took a break and he moved out and gave her space. But all seems good again with them.

Never met Mikey or Stephen. There was reports about the threesome with Stephen and his husband and that they found traces of cannabis in his system but I've never heard anything about coke ? His husband seems to have been a dick, and fought with Stephens family over his ashes. Eventually his family got some and scattered them at Stephens fave spot in Dublin but the husband made it awkward. And moved on quickly after.

Westlife I've met Kian, Nicky and Brian. I was at a Westlife concert and by chance bumped into Louis in the restaurant before. He was lovely and took me backstage to meet some of them. The 3 I met were lovely esp Brian. And I've met him at a local hotel in recent times and he was lovely and friendly too. The boyzlife show is total cringe ! They're both passed it but know they can't make it on their own again so using this boyzlife thing to hold on to any fame they can and it's cringe

Personally I feel like Ronan could have outed Stephen. I found his tears fairly disingenuous. Would make sense to sabotage him and set his own solo career up. I honestly don’t think Louie did it. It could have destroyed the band and his money making machine.
