You can hear the sigh of relief as the Beetlejuice UK casting announcement is made... and it is not Joel Montagewewewew. What a relief, I can go and see it now.
And the music from the film is iconic but not musical material. How would they do the scene of the worst toilet in Scotland on stage I wonderTrainspotting is going to be a musical.
Shows the utter desperation of the powers that be to rely on any recongisible IP to adapt, how depressing.
Sigh. Last year it was Catherine Tate (no thanks) and this year those two. No thanks. It’s not for meFrench and Saunders are in the Palladium panto this year
Still time to announce him as coverYou can hear the sigh of relief as the Beetlejuice UK casting announcement is made... and it is not Joel Montagewewewew. What a relief, I can go and see it now.
And a couple of other male characters still to be announcedStill time to announce him as cover
They sold nearly everything for the first three announced Friday and Saturday shows in the presale the other day, but looks like there's at least one Sunday show now in the general sale for tomorrow morning.Well, now I will have to see that. I don't even like Love Never Dies but this is dream casting for me.
Celinde is one of my favourite Fantine's and Jamie is great in everything imho.
Nooooo!Still time to announce him as cover
I would seriously not consider seeing the show if he's in it in any form. He gives me the ick on the most massive scale. And a couple of other male characters still to be announced
Tom Xander rumoured to be cover. I don’t understand why more of the cast weren’t announced today. The drip feed is pretty dull.Still time to announce him as cover
We saw Sunny Afternoon in Glasgow last year. It's a fabulous show and really well staged.I watched this, Sam rider was very good. Most of the rest was hugely underwhelming. The guy playing ray Davis had a really weak voice
If it were even ten years ago I'd make the effort just for Sam Ryder but not now, pricing is disgusting.Watching the Big Night of Musicals and I know I’m going to have such bad FOMO with JCS but I can’t be playing with the dynamic pricing
That's a shame BNOM was to celebrate theatre, now it's just another ad.We watched a bit of the Big Night of Musicals, but I didn’t like how it felt like one big marketing campaign, with the extortions to ‘catch this on tour’, ‘showing in the West End until xxx’, etc. after every single performance.
But that's kind of it's brief now, the whole thing along with West End Live and the Olivier Awards show, the whole point is to be one big advert. The shows send their casts, in return they want people to be reminded that they can buy tickets for the full show somewhere. We watched a bit of the Big Night of Musicals, but I didn’t like how it felt like one big marketing campaign, with the extortions to ‘catch this on tour’, ‘showing in the West End until xxx’, etc. after every single performance.
