Its appalling. They should have cancelled, or offered the audience the choice to either stay or get leave and get a refund (which ive known hapoen before at other theatres)

The replies to people who wanted some form of refund are nuts. ‘You saw theatre ROYALTY!!11! With 0.3 seconds of prep. You don’t know how lucky you are’. Not everyone has that mindset and I’d be pissed if I paid £70 odd for a concert version, good cast or not.
Yeah a concert and a full musical production are two very different things.
The 'you paid to see legally blonde, you got legally blonde' argument doesnt work as you literally didnt get the full Legally Blonde. You got a strip backed, under rehearsed, concert version. Not a fully staged musical production.
They are two different things, as we can see all the time in the west end with all the concert versions of shows. That's why they shove 'in concert' after the title.

Yeah, like someone having a go because they said Jodie kept messing her lines up… like totally understandable, she had hours to learn the role but people paid like £70+ to see a musical not Jodie…. it’s not right. I would be fuming!
It puts the cover actors' reputations at risk, because even if they only had hours to rehearse, people will remember and talk about them messing up...what is worth it for the paycheck? Better to cancel a show and cite illness which is understandable, than put on a half-concert thing that is not worth the ticket price. Allow people to rebook. And it's the cast getting the flack on socials, the production team get to hide.
Jings she's still superb. To paraphrase a football reference -- form is temporary, class is permanent.
It will have made a nice change to have someone with talent on BGT.
And I know I'm being judgy, but how the hell can KSI, Amanda, Alesha or even Simon "judge" Shani Wallace. What tips could they give her!!!
And I can understand why this didn't make the main show. An absolute star, even in her 90s, compared to the dross that fills that show.
And they can't put her through to the live shows - she'd walk it!!!

I've seen some people say they really liked it. Theatreboard was a mixed bag but there were positive comments.
Some of it might depend on what people are expecting and other issues like the apparently appalling disability access. Stuff like that can totally ruin a theatre going experience even if what was on stage is enjoyable.
We gave my kid and partner tickets for Christmas - they're theatre kids and see a lot of plays - they said it was fun for a fan of Huger Games. They felt that Katniss was woefully miscast and let the whole thing down - but on thw whole they enjoyed it and didnt think it was as bad as some of the reviews, but they wont be going back either.
Pal won tickets to The Hunger Games in their £30 lottery - the staging is incredible, what lets it down is the am-dram script full of exposition and slightly hammy acting. Worth the lottery price though!
What puts me off a lot beyond the access issues is apparently the play is heavily
