So I went to see Paddington yesterday.

Really enjoyed it (me and my mum were in the stalls). Music was good, the staging was excellent and the cast were excellent.

Better than some of the longer lasting musicals/musical revivals (e.g. Miss Saigon) and I have definitely seen worse musicals that have good reviews (looking at you Spring Awakening).

I know Carrie HF and Joel have their own thread however he was talking about sickness as WE Performed and said, When he goes on stage he thinks oh god is someone going to be filming this as if you aren’t feeling great it’s on the internet forever and I sat and thought…. So it’s ok for you to perform poorly for a theatre crowd who’ve paid HUNDREDS to watch you but go forbid someone puts it on the internet… like sometimes this be kind world is a bit like, give your head a wobble when they moan about valid comments.

those two have both used other people’s bootlegs of their performances to promote themselves, especially her, so they can do one on any concerns about being recorded. You can’t have it both ways and use extracts from recordings but then whine about them when they aren’t so good.

The most pointless article ever in the Mail about the Shanay Holmes situation in Oliver! The conclusion? No one involved will talk about it. What a worthwhile story to run, then. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

That’s basically just a rehash of the Reddit post on the subject, with anything too ‘hearsay’ omitted for legal reasons.

What an odd feature to run, so long after the event and given that the majority of the cast named in the piece are unlikely to be known to the general public (other than those with a specific interest in musical theatre).

I wonder what the ‘real’ reason for posting it is? 🤔

That situation is so interesting. Shanay still using Oliver clips for her promotion and just simply not mentioning her leaving.

It’s very odd. I doubt any of us will ever know the real reason she left, though.

I regret not buying tickets to go see it when it was on tour as I love the book. Hopefully it might go on tour again.

Catherine Tate no longer in Oh, Mary! for personal reasons according to the show's socials; Mason Alexander Park is coming in instead before Cole Escola starts on 20th July.

Im glad I got to see CT in Oh Mary, I loved her but Mason coming back is exciting. Im trying to resist the urge to book a ticket...

I had a ticket anyway for Oh Mary next week & just booked two more. Hope Catherine’s okay but absolutely thrilled to have Mason back. She’s extraordinary. Honestly, I’m so happy!
