I knew I had the pick a first dance song but hadn’t thought about anything else!

So I need an entrance song too… what else have I missed? Still knew to this

We have an entrance song (you and me, by you&me /Dallas green and pink), 2x signing the register songs (string quartet covers of foo fighters songs), an exit song (U2 beautiful day) and a first dance

we also still need to sort out a playlist for whilst they are waiting for me to arrive at the ceremony and also for the wedding breakfast…

Honestly, its crazy. The average spend is insane. You can do it all cheaper but how far you go with that is down to your own time limits and tastes. I think a reasonable amount would be 10k

It completely depends on your circumstances and what you can afford. A quick google suggests the average spend is just under £20,500 (not including the honeymoon!)

We’ve not gone cheap, but our micro wedding is costs upwards of £7k all in… we were looking at £12+ for a basic wedding, making a lot of compromises had we have bigger numbers…

My fiance likes death metal and I like "horrorcore" music (Insane Clown Posse, etc.) so most of our respective taste in music are not what most people would consider appropriate for a wedding. First dance song is "Magic" by The Cars which is one of my favourite songs ever

Chalk it down, its madness like if you want the hotel package deal kinda job it's kinda 60-130 depending on where you go... So there is cheaper alternatives but I was quoted 160 pp for food and drink. Madness and if you want to get married on a Friday /Saturday you've to have minimum numbers of around 100/120. It's heartbreaking for someone who wants a small wedding

I think it varies quite a bit depending what you want to do.

usually I hear people spending between 15-30k.

our wedding is coming in at 12k. That’s without the honeymoon.

Ireland is my home but by god its expensive to live here weddings are eye-watering but sure look its one day, hopefully will do it once

Our whole wedding is coming in at about £11k. I went over budget on the dress (panic bought right before first lockdown) but other than that I've DIY'd a lot, designed all my own invites, centrepieces etc so I think I've saved on a lot. Our biggest money saving was the venue (winter package).
I think it's all about spending within your means by setting an affordable budget. It can be so difficult when it comes to venue/catering though, prices get silly!
I've heard horror stories about couples paying for their entire weddings on credit cards
