Getting a bit stressed/annoyed, I emailed the wedding coordinator at our venue we’re having our reception at just asking some questions back in November and had no reply so I emailed again last night and no reply, she was more than happy to reply straight away when we were looking to book it! 🤣 I know we’ve got until July but I’m paying a lot of money to them and needs answers to my questions so I can plan other things around it 😫 maybe I’ll have to try to call them incase they’ve changed their email but I don’t want to harass them and seem like a bridezilla!

It’s so annoying! I’m still trying to find someone to go some venue styling. Have contacted a few and nobody will actually give me a quote. I guess because we don’t want much.. most frustrating, one of the people I’m waiting for a reply from commented on a Facebook post I put up asking for companies 🤦🏻‍♀️

It is really annoying, I’ve also messaged a singing waiter who promotes himself on the local groups I’m in and says to message him, I messaged him a month ago and again the other day and still no reply, just tell me no so I can try to ask someone else!!! So annoying

I just find it rude. Why say you’ll send me a quote if you don’t actually want the work?

We've been engaged a year but opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to what we want for a wedding. I want something small, ideally abroad, without a lot of the usual traditional stuff. Maybe a nice meal and then a relaxing evening sat near a beach.

My partner wants to go the whole hog with a £20k venue, 100 guests, first dance blah blah (which suits some people but not me!)

I seriously cannot be arsed with it. I'd prefer to spend the money on an amazing honeymoon. As we can't agree on anything we just don't make progress. Very frustrating.

Where has everyone got/getting their bridal shoes from? I don’t want anything designer and I’m only really going to wear them for the ceremony, so I don’t want anything expensive? But I need them by March ideally as that’s when I’m getting my dress fitting done and they’ve asked me to bring my shoes!

Not that it’s the whole point but does your partner have the funds to pay for the wedding they want???

could you compromise? Have an intimate wedding ceremony and small celebration that you’d like on holiday and then a party at a later date? So that you both get a bit of what you both want?

Just look for a pair of shoes you like from wherever you’d normally look for shoes?? “Bridal” shoes are normally expensive and (in my opinion!) hideous!!!!!!
try John Lewis/ASOS/Schuh/Office etc

I’ve had a look at next and similar, not seen anything yet. Didn’t think of office and schuh so will try there next! No one is going to see them because my dress will cover it so I don’t see the point in buying designer, but I’m not into shoes or designer anyway! 😂 I’ve looked a few times, but was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas 😀

I'm ordering my shoes from a small business on Facebook called "the new glass slipper" shes making me lovely embellished wedding shoes with a low heel which is what I need and they're only costing me £99
She does all sorts of different kinds of shoes in different styles, converse, flats etc and she's really highly reviewed

Oo thank you! I’ll take a look!

I’ve had so many ridiculous targeted ads for bridal shoes on Instagram recently, some as much as £700!!! That’s the same as a pair of Jimmy Choos. I’ve been looking at the Rainbow Club on Instagram, they’re reasonably priced, have block heel options which will be much more comfortable than stilettos and they offer a service where you can have them dyed after your wedding to basically any colour you want, which I love the idea of, if you’re thinking of getting ivory, as they’re not really that versatile!

I got mine from rainbow club, they were £75.. and then I won the price back for reviewing them. They’re super comfy!

Edit: as someone else said you can also get them to dye your shoes pretty much any colour you want after the wedding… I won’t be, mine are glittery 🤣

Quiz! Less than £30, nude and a nice heel size. Comfy too!

I got these ones from asos! Only cheap and a nice block heal my dress will cover them anyway, and I want to get some converse for the evening so will only be wearing them for the ceremony 😅

I will be wearing either white converse or white vans for the whole thing at my wedding. I don’t do heels and hate having my feet exposed with strappy/open toe shoes. I just want to be comfortable, my friend wore white crocs for her wedding reception, don’t blame her one bit I only noticed because she showed me😂

I’ll be wearing my converse to the evening as well!😂

I’m only wearing heels to the ceremony because my fiancé is 6”4 and I’m 5”2 and I don’t want us to look like little & large on the wedding photos 😂

Another vote for converse! I’m getting some glittery ones made especially! 😄

I would change into flats for the evening, but I think my dress will be too long and I'll be tripping all over it 😩

I'm currently doing some research on long lasting lipsticks, has anyone got any brand recommendations? I'm thinking of maybe Huda or Charlotte Tilbury? I don't want to be reapplying my lipstick all wedding day!
