Hiya - bit of a funny question but I’m hoping to get some reassurance before I go all in on buying bits etc.

Basically had a nightmare planning my hen party abroad - we gave almost a years notice, chose destination on where was cheapest etc. people were making all the right noises and saying they’d defo come so myself and my 2 bridesmaids booked the flights.

After 6 months of chasing one by one everyone else dropped out because the flights had inevitably gone up etc etc. Our flights are non refundable so we’ve decided we’ll still go as we’ve all really wanted to have a little break away!

My question is do I still go all in on the hen do white wardrobe/buying the girls team bride jumpers etc? I feel like it’s a bit embarrassing only having two friends but equally I don’t want to miss out on the experience.

I will be having a night out at home too with family, colleagues etc!

Thank you ❤
I would! Who cares - you have two great bridesmaids with you! Enjoy it! You might regret not doing it looking back and I doubt anyone will look at you three enjoying yourselves and think anything bad!

I’m having one local hen with only 10 guests because certain people couldn’t make it and at first I was a bit embarrassed because you always see photos of massive groups but I realised then how stupid that was as I have 10 people willing to celebrate me which is great!

Thank you, that’s so true! I thought exactly the same thing, I was just imagining people laughing 🥲 but that’s really helpful!

Yes absolutely go for it! You will have the best time and with it only being a few of you you might find it will be even better as you aren't having to try and please a big group.

We went for a weekend away in the UK for mine and some people dropped out last minute when it came down to actually having to pay for stuff but I wouldn't have changed it because we had the best time and nothing but laughs.

Have the best time :)

I guarantee no one will laugh and if they do that’s not the sort of person you’d ever want in your life or give a tit about anyway! I went on a Taylor Swift bottomless brunch with my friend back last year and there was a group on a hen do, I think there was four or five of them. All I thought was that it looked like a banging hen do listening to Taylor Swift and they were all in Taylor themed clothes I thought it looked amazing! I honestly don’t think anyone will think anything bad, enjoy yourself! X

Message to the now wives… did anyone else feel utterly lost after their wedding? It was my last thought at night and my first thought in the morning for 2 years, now it’s all done. Obviously I’m so happy and excited to be married, but I just feel so out of sorts and lost now, what do I do next?!
Enjoy the newlywed bubble! I know what you mean, we got married in September and it did suddenly feel like I had so much brain space not having wedding planning looming over me! Have you got a honeymoon planned? We have ours coming up in April which I’m really looking forward to, and is much less stressful to plan than a wedding :)

I’m feeling a bit better about it now though, getting the calendar booked up with things to look forward to

How’s everyone having their hair for their wedding? I had my hair trial last week and have to have a bun I think as my hair won’t hold curls long so can’t wear it down even though I’d have preferred to. I do have quite long hair and it’s super thick and I just feel like my bun was huge and looked stupid, but not sure what else to do other than cut my hair 😭

Why not have it straight? Or some up some down with some pretty clips x

Could you have another trial and do curls to see how they last? A hairdresser should be able to get them to stay in! A soft wave might work well. Ultimately you want to love your hair on your wedding day!

If all goes well during my trial, this. It’s a low ponytail.
I wanted to give the “illusion” of having my hair down while making sure my hair is mostly off my neck as I overheat super quickly

How long do dresses from Azazie come does anyone know? it says 'get it 12th - 18th February,' - I would have thought by saying 'get it' it means delivery between then but when I look on their help pages it says that could mean production has finished and it still has to ship.

My bridesmaids are getting quite stressed as I get married in March. I Understand, the girls are busy and they might need alterations etc. I just feel so stressed that I left it too late and might need to find alternatives online which is hard when they all can't agree on what they like :(

Our venue just requested 50% of our estimated final figure. 🤢 Always feels wrong seeing so much money leave our accounts.

Dreading that! We’re trying to pay for our deposit now and the woman we’re dealing with has gone MIA

Lone Star would be amazing 😍 I know someone whose niece got married there a couple of months ago and they said it was gorgeous!
we are doing it at The Crane!
I can recommend a photographer for you - her name is Ana Paola. She shot our engagement and she’s so kind, we booked her for our wedding straight away ahah
Enjoy your planning ! ❤
thanks so much for this recommendation by the way. We’ve got our engagement shoot booked with her tomorrow and we’ll be having her for the wedding too ❤

We paid our venue last week - it was a grim feeling 😂

Buying a property helped lessen the sickness I felt watching all the wedding money leaving my bank account. Nothing can prepare you for the money you spend on a home

I'll never understand why people make it so difficult for you to pay them, who doesnt want 💰?!? We had one potential vendor who went MIA just before we were about to sign the contract and pay the deposit

I just looked back in my emails from when I ordered mine last year, I ordered on 12th June, then got an email on 27th that they had shipped, and they got delivered on the 29th. I don’t remember what the “get it” dates said then but I think they did arrive quicker than I thought they would if that helps!
