I'm due a new PC - mine is now 7 years old and prone to randomly crashing with an error message that says it can't find the hard drive. And I like the sound of this House Flipper game :) I'm a freelance transcriber, so I assume if I buy a gaming PC rather than a business one, it'll be able to handle all the video and audio I have to play easily?

They refused to give press releases (like most games have) so they clearly knew it wasn't ready. At least with cyberpunk they gave press access to the least broken version.

A 0.8/10 on meta critic and no publications have reviewed as they haven't had enough time yet.

So annoying, I'd love Zelda OoT or vice city to play. But it's not worth spoiling it with these poor remasters :(

Loving this thread!
My first computer was a BBC microcomputer, then swiftly onto the original NES with Super Mario Bros and Duckhunt. I still have my NES with the duckhunt gun!
I've been a Nintendo diehard my whole life, had a game boy, gameboy advance sp (loved The Urbz on that!) DS, 3DSXL, Wii, WiiU and now the Switch. We also have a game cube, N64, Sega megadrive, PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4. (Fortunately my other half is also a gamer!)
Loved pretty much every Mario game, Yoshis Wooly World, Captain Toads Treasure Tracker, Princess Peach on the DS. Every Animal Crossing game (New Leaf was far better than New Horizons is though...)
Lost entire days to the Sims and World of Warcraft.
I struggle to play a lot of newer games on the PS, I get motion sickness from them when i play myself so have to be content watching my other half play instead -RDR1 & 2 are amazing!
I do love the Lego games though, the build noise is one of my favourite game noises 🤣

I'm currently over 300 hours into Stardew Valley. I've got 3 obelisks! Finally got up to level 10 fishing and caught my first legendary fish the other day!

Did anyone used to play Travian on the PC? I loved it, then one night my village got raided many many times and I rage quit and haven't played since!

So does this mean they've completely remade the game from scratch? I get so confused with the 'remastered', 'definitive' etc tags haha.

Will definitely be getting this. I never actually completed any of the games. Gta 3 I didn't get very far at all as I was quite young and I think our game would crash alot too and in gta vice City I just used to do the flying car cheat and get the car that looked like the car in Harry Potter 2 and fly around 😂🙈. San Andreas I got the furthest in but I still don't think I got to the last island so would be really interested to replay them all as an adult.

I guess we won't be getting a new rockstar game for a while then though
I'm thinking of getting the trilogy as well, but for Nintendo Switch. Though I liked those games back in the day, I never managed to own any of them, and now that I have a chance...why not? 🤔

I don't think that Rockstar are in a rush to publish a new game is they can still milk GTA5 and this trilogy as well. They are into playing safe, or that what it seems.

I’ve been a bit addicted to Tetris 99 on the switch over the entire course of the pandemic. I never really gamed when I was younger but MrBol is quite into it and while he’s not converted me to football manager he’s got me into some of the Nintendo stuff. Pacman99 which came out last week is pretty good too.

I think I must be older than you all 🤣🤣🤣 if and Fairlight Myst were my go to games.

I remember at school those who had the game boy were considered poor cousins of those who had the game gear, although now that seems madness.

Why did we think these things?

I'm thinking about giving RDR2 a go. We have it for our Playstation but I've not played it yet - watched the OH play it a lot though. I'm not great with aiming and shooting in games, so not sure how I'll get on!
There is auto aim on rdr2 and I’m pretty sure you can adjust the settings to your liking so you should be fine! It’s pretty easy to get the hang of and the dead eye skill helps a lot!

I get so excited when people play rdr2 for the first time. You are in for a real treat!

I still haven’t played Cyberpunk. It’s definitely one I want to give a go at some point (although nudity in video games is so cringe imo). Just not really in any rush.

Has anyone read heard the rumours about Rockstar remaking/remastering (it’s not clear which) the GTA Trilogy from the ps2 games? I’m really excited for that! I’m hoping they do a red dead redemption 1 remake at some point too. Literally all I want in life😂

My PS4 is performing like new since I upgraded the hard drive, I didn’t realise how slow and unresponsive it had become, definitely worth it. It loads faster, things install faster, the ui reacts quicker rather than lagging a second or two behind, it doesn’t freeze, it hasn’t had a single error yet (early days granted). Perfect! Back on my quest for 100% completion of rdr2. Currently sitting at 60% and not even finished the story yet.

I have RDR2. Been hesitant to start it in case I hated it but sounds like I will love it.

As a die hard Ressie Evil fan I picked up RE8 today so I will play RDR2 after that. Exciting times ahead!

I dip in and out of Animal Crossing, I really struggle with Stardew because of the 2D graphics.
Aaah it's such a good game :) really worth perservering, a lot of amazing impressive games these days are not all about the graphics

Best games I’ve ever played was when I had the PlayStation

Rugrats - Search for Reptar
South Park - All I remember is lots of evil turkeys you had to kill with snowballs 😂
Doom
Pandemonium!
Broken Sword
Lara Croft Tomb Raider - Putting the old man in the fridge 🤣
Oddsworld

If I ever played a scary game I think it was called Silent Hill with the little girl, I had to turn my volume right the way down as either the music would scare me or the enemies jumping out.

Also used to like Bully on the Xbox 360

The original Sims was good on the PC but after awhile it would get boring as I had the cheat I think it was rosebud;; for never ending money so all the sims ended up with mansions.

SEGA I loved Mickey Mouse World of illusion
omg that Sims cheat just gave me nostalgia!! 💘

Love this! First games I remember are Shinobi and Mortal Kombat on my brother’s Sega Master System.

Loved Theme Hospital and Theme Park on the PC when I was a kid. Tried getting into Two Point Hospital when it came out but I rage-quit because it was too hard. Still play Rollercoaster Tycoon every now and then when I fancy it.

I’ve played The Sims since it’s release in 2000 and still I can quite easily spend all evening playing it and ignoring my family. Became addicted to Stardew Valley during lockdown. I prefer simulation sort of games. Anything with fighting stresses the hell out of me and I end up panic-shooting everything.
I always talk to people about Theme Hospital and no one ever remembers it! The random diseases like the guy with the big balloon head that you had to pop to cure 😅

Yes I definitely cycle between the same few games. For me at the moment it’s usually rdr2, wicher3&dlcs, fallout 4, Horizon:zero Dawn, gta5. Then when I get sick of open world games I play uncharted 2, 3, 4 and Lost Legacy, TLOU, Spyro Reignited, Tomb Raider, The Sims4 and Stardew Valley. Some of these I can’t play rn due to Xbox issues so thats even more frustrating.

Seems like a lot when it’s written down but it doesn’t feel like it!! There’s an ever growing list of games on my ‘to play’ list now as well. Maybe I’ll treat myself to a new game this month or next. The problem is deciding which one.

With so many working remotely and there always being potential holes to get into a devs machine it's not too surprising.

Although the person behind it who tried to blackmail rockstar to stop releasing more and the source code seems pretty dumb. Wouldn't be suprised if they're arrested soon.

I'm biased because I love my Switch. I'm a Nintendo fan through and through. :D

I'm still addicted to Tears of the Kingdom (105 hours so far). I'm on a little over 90 shrines and I've done the main four temples. I'm going to do more shrines and side quests before taking on the final boss, though.

I’m late to the party but been really enjoying Animal Crossing on Switch. The islanders are really warm and welcoming, reminds of the townsfolk from every Harvest Moon games.
My villagers threw me a birthday party today, it’s so wholesome.

So I'm currently 60+ hours in to Dragon Age Inquisition. I've never played any of the DA games before but this is on Gamepass and my boyfriend massively rates it so I gave it a go and I'm hooked. Still looks incredible despite being 8 years old. It's got me really excited for the next DA to come out - hopefully sometime in the next few years. Any other Dragon Age fans?
