I've finally got round to playing RDR2 after somehow avoiding spoilers for three years. I tried playing it on my old PC but didn't enjoy it because the hardware wasn't powerful enough to run it properly. Now I've got a new machine and whacked all the graphics settings up to ultra and it's stunning. Does anyone else panic when they have to name things in games? When I bought my first horse I had a complete brain malfunction and now my horse is called Weasel 😑
Ah you're in for such a journey! I'm at 95% complete now so slowly getting there for my 100% completion attempt!

I'm so bad with names in the Sims it takes me ages to think of names. I use the Google name generators, the Sims name generators and everything lol.

The sims 4 is so good now with all the packs out and free updates. Spryo remaster was super good as that was my childhood game so was a bit worried.

Currently playing animal crossing new horizons, stardew valley, rdr2 as started a new save, the sims 4, and zelda breath of the wild. I do like games that don't end as there's so many changes you can make. Sometimes with open world games I can get over whelmed as there's so much to do til I get with it!

The original first three Tomb Raiders,
tetris on the original game boy ( it still works!)
Marion cart (from the SNES onwards).
Super Mario World.
I wish they would make timesplitters,
I also like CoD/Blackops multiplayer.

Inhave a household of demon/dark souls fans and Apex Legends

anyone remember Roland goes digging, Chucky Egg and Jetset Willy?

Does anyone else feel like these have too many games to play and not enough time to play, and then when you do play you just go back to your comfort games? I always end up going back to stardew valley or animal crossing or rdr2 😂

You absolutely must play it, you are in for a real treat! I can’t explain how incredible rdr2 is. Im obsessed to the point where I can’t stop mentioning it on this thread😂
We got it with our PS4. Partner loves it but constantly complains that the PS4 is too slow for it and the frame rate is rubbish. So although he played it a lot at the start, now he only manages about an hour before he gets frustrated and rage-quits :ROFLMAO:

Hi 👋 first time poster here but I NEED to talk to someone about Tears of the Kingdom 😅

I don't want to share any spoilers but the intro and the way it's mixed familiar stuff from BOTW with new things are just so bloody good 🤩

I’m really enjoying Tears of the Kingdom. I’ve been largely exploring (managed to activate all the towers to get the full map).

Any time I start to do something towards progressing the storyline, I seem to get distracted by something else and go off to investigate. 🤣 I’m trying to avoid the depths as much as I can for now.

It’s a massive game - I’ll definitely be playing it for a while!

I really want to 😅 it came out around the time I was pregnant and my boyfriend got me the sims 4 and I played that the end of my maternity leave, I kinda wish I got red dead 2 instead now 🤣 I might buy it and binge play it when the baby has gone to bed 😈 Just means my boyfriend won't be able to play Fifa 😂

What a thread!

another simulation fan here! always loved the sims, have house flipper (but find it does get tedious) and theme hospital. We have 2 point hospital on the PS4 but haven’t given it enough time yet.

First games: we got a PS1 when i about 6/7, abs we had croc: legend of the gobbos (what a bloody game!!) and tomb raider. this was when you had save points and my parents used to stay up til 4am playing it because if not you’d loose it all!

my husband last played Spider-Man, miles morales and whilst I’m not a big Spider-Man fan I really enjoyed watching him play!!

we typically have the likes of the last of us & far cry etc. I remember vice city, my brother got it age 10 I think and went straight out and murdered a hooker with a chainsaw on Christmas Day with all the fam around 😂

anyone remember saints row, like the ghetto version of GTA? Are they making a new GTA? I have to say it’s one of the all time greats!

I play on bog standard ps4 and for the most part it seems fine. It can sometimes take a second for objects to load in when finishing fast travelling but not noticed it lag too much. Have you looked into cleaning the inside of the PS4? I think mine is due a clean too, loads of dust can build up inside which can affect performance. Might be worth checking, there’s YouTube videos that show you how to do it😅
Tbh I think he's just impatient :ROFLMAO: I've yet to see him play a game where he doesn't complain about loading times!

Is anyone a fan of Dishonored? I found a documentary about how Arkane Studios made the games which is really interesting, link is here. They talk about a couple of levels in Dishonored 2 that are completely mind-blowing on a technical level. The first game is only £7.99 on Steam and it's one of my all-time favourites. I'm not usually a fan of anything with a magical component but it's possible to complete the game without using any of the powers, without killing anyone or without even being seen by anyone. Or you can brutally kill absolutely everyone, there are different outcomes depending on which playstyle you go for.

If anyone is interested in no-combat decision based story games, Disco Elysium is on a good sale price on Steam. You are a detective who has forgotten everything about himself but you need to solve a murder - you walk around a town but all the detective work is done through conversations and text, it's genius and really fucking funny, I really recommend it!

Someone liked a post I made a few weeks back about TotK. As an update, I've now done all the shrines, all main quests, beat the game and lit up all of The Depths, but I'm still playing it as I want to finish more side quests.

I think I might be addicted. 🤣

I used to like the Pop Idol game on PlayStation.

Simpsons Hit & Run - I used to drive around "normally" as it was relaxing. I liked the sunset.
Shenmue
The Sims 2 & 3.
The Urbz
I remember playing the Nintendo DS version of Sims 2. It wasn't like the regular game, it had a storyline about aliens in Strangetown and you had to run the hotel.
Nintendo games of course

These days I like games like Stardew Valley, My Time at Portia, Dragon Quest Builders...

Did anyone ever play Tetrinet? It was multiplayer online Tetris, with added power ups that you could use to attack your opponents. It was amazing!

Rockstar have disabled the PC version of GTA trilogy, what a mess. I was going to buy it for switch this weekend but might wait and see if they fix things. The rain does look annoying and frame rates can be improved as unofficial releases ran better.

I wonder if in 6 months if it'll run much better or if they're done with it?

Sorry for your loss, Padfoot :(

I'm having a nice nostalgic time in Baldur's Gate right now - never got this far through it before, but just got one more character I want to level up before I go into the city itself.
