Completely agree. And I wouldn't want to go on holiday to somewhere that practices capital punishment either. Grimuo: Dubai is the most overrated holiday destination. No culture, all the restaurants don't serve local authentic cuisine, it's all manmade and there's nothing unique to do. Most people who go to dubai on instagram (cough influencers) never leave the hotel unless it's for a restaurant and lay by the pool. A manmade, materialistic city.
Why not just DONATE sanitary items? £1 a pack. Oh because you then can’t make a song and a dance about how you are working so hard to help.Things like this all over SM
"wanted please - fleece and towel pieces (will be covered, so don't need to be in perfect condition) - I'm trying to make sanitary products to be sent for Ukraine Refugees. thankyou"
Maybe I'm wrong but how on earth would displaced people be able to wash things like this? Surly in crises like these ( and only these) is a time for disposable everything.
Also every time someone offers something up for free.. Yes please, I am housing a Ukrainian/ family and this would be perfect.
Reminds me of "I am an NHS frontline worker" before every post
My husband was asked to be part of a scheme like the one Jimmy Carr was in. We’d have ended up paying 3% tax if we’d gone ahead. Husband said no as even though it was legal it was dodgy. Some people he knows who did do it had demands for back taxes many years later running into the hundreds of thousands (no sympathy for them).I don't care about how people pay their tax. I don't care if they use loopholes, non dom status and off shore accounts. As long as it's legal and the system allows it, carry on. I don't care about Jimmy Carr, Gary Barlow or Lorraine Kelly.
No one wants to pay more tax than they have too. NO ONE. Some of us are PAYE. Some of us are self employed. Some work through limited companies. Some of us are millionaires. Everyone single person will pay the minimum they can get away with.
Neither do I but I also won't condemn them. If the system allows it then the system is wrong. My husband was asked to be part of a scheme like the one Jimmy Carr was in. Taking extra duty free back or doing the odd casher, even if everyone did it, is nothing in comparison to the billions the Tory cronies are avoiding, sanctioned that those in office who make the rules to suit them.Neither do I but I also won't condemn them. Everyone takes part in some sort of tax avoidance in their life. Whether it's a cash in hand job, selling stuff on eBay and not declaring it, bringing in goods from abroad you've bought on holiday, buying stuff you know fell of the back of a lorry ...
Just can't be dealing with holier than thou attitudes towards tax.
It's all relative. You're still not paying duty on stuff you should. There are plenty of little industries going on on eBay not declaring anything.Taking extra duty free back or doing the odd casher, even if everyone did it, is nothing in comparison to the billions the Tory cronies are avoiding, sanctioned that those in office who make the rules to suit them.
Selling your own stuff on eBay doesn’t have to be declared. You paid the tax on it when it was new to you. Buying and selling for profit is different.
What, so if somebody kiss their partner, and we're not talking a full on make out session, you think they should be arrested and flogged etc? Did you take your meds this morning?Agree with part of this. There is no need for kissing in public, no need for PDAs. I think if you really love your partner you won't feel the need to show everyone.
So what about Tony Blair and his cronies then? I guess their millions and pocket lining is deservedI will fully admit to having a bias against the ToriesThey are a bunch of self serving immoral cunts who don’t give a single shit about the hard working people they are supposed to serve. They line their own pockets and make the rules that allow them to do so with no consequences.
Any working class person who votes for them is a deluded fool.
If you do kiss or show affection in public or in front of others does it mean you don’t really love your partner?Agree with part of this. There is no need for kissing in public, no need for PDAs. I think if you really love your partner you won't feel the need to show everyone.
I somewhat agree. But I do think businesses should be forced to pay all their taxes and not use loopholes and handshaked deals. I'm talking about amazon and google and companies of that ilk. If they just paid their taxes we'd all be richI don't care about how people pay their tax. I don't care if they use loopholes, non dom status and off shore accounts. Agreed, its very gross but I do wonder if it's more to do with seeing them as a good father/mother and not a father or mother figure. Anyway it's still creepy AFMarried couples who refer to one another as "Mommy" and "Daddy" are creepy AF.
I'm not talking about referring to one another, out front of your small children, that way. I (kinda) get how you want your children to know how to call/refer to the other parent "Give this to Mommy" etc. But, when your kids are older and you still call your partner "Mommy/Daddy", it isn't for your kids - it's for you - and that's treading the incestual waters a bit.
It’s not for everyone else’s benefitAgree with part of this. There is no need for kissing in public, no need for PDAs. I think if you really love your partner you won't feel the need to show everyone.
Although I agree with the sentiment, working cash in hand, for example, is tax evasion and not tax avoidance. Evasion is illegal whereas avoidance is not.Neither do I but I also won't condemn them. If the system allows it then the system is wrong.

I have no idea. I do recognize that it may be a regional thing - Southern Americans - tend to do it more often. Every time (thankfully it's not too often) I hear couples speak to each other that way I hear banjos playing and I want to pick my teeth with a piece of hay.Agreed, its very gross but I do wonder if it's more to do with seeing them as a good father/mother and not a father or mother figure.
