It is unlikely the will be neutral in politics given the nature of the game. The economy was never safe with them. If Cameron had won the 2007 GE he wouldn't have staved off a global financial crisis. By all accounts when the goverment called in the top ecomonic bods about it all the response was 'we don't know, we have never seen anything like this'. The response would have been different I'm sure but the myth is always peddled as if Labour directly caused it.
