We finally reached a second thread! Thanks BJ for this chaos šŸ˜¬

The people left in the race are:

Rishi Sunak - the ex-chancellor who raised taxes and was responsible for the loose covid stimulus that helped drive up inflation and house prices. He now promises to deal with the inflation he caused and lower the taxes he raised.

Liz Truss - the cheese speech woman with the Elizabeth Duke jewelry.

Penny Mordaunt - the one that spoke about six cocks and five laid/layed in the house of commons, or was it seven cocks?

Kemi Badenoch - seems like a breath of fresh air but was a director at Coutts and a director at the spectator so šŸ˜

Tom Tugendhat - still some confusion over if it's pronounced hat or heart. Stood next to a sign saying tart but who cares? He'll be gone by Monday.

Tory party on course for a third woman PM when Labour not only have never had one but have only had three elected PMs ever of any sex.

There was a cartoon in one paper after the 2019 election that had a Labour canvasser at a door saying ' why don't you racist bigots just vote Labour?' The same goes for black and Asian people. If you abuse Rishi Sunak and Priti Patel on the grounds that they are 'coconuts' or 'Uncle Toms' then you are absolutely saying that Black and Asian people are not allowed agency or are too stupid to know whats good for them.

Labour are the biggest racists and misogynists going. I'm a socialist, but I won't vote Labour. At least the Tories don't pretend to be nice, you know what you're getting with them, no pretence šŸ˜„

To be fair, I think it's only a certain section, but unfortunately they have a hold on the movement.

I thought Tom was doing quite well until he thanked the NHS worker for giving him two children. Bit too thickly spread.

I am only watching the closing speeches. Did he say that? Did he shag her??

Can't stand Penny
Kemi just isn't doing anything for me either.

So come Monday, those two can be eliminated IMO.

Ironically it's all Labour's fault all the time though ;)

Tugendhat seemed alright then wasted his NHS answer time blowing smoke up that doctor's arse.

If thereā€™s one thing that the racist left canā€™t stand itā€™s a minority who is ā€œguiltyā€ of insufficient victimhood.

Kemi made an interesting quote in a LBC interview.

"I came to this country aged 16 and now I am standing for prime minister - isn't that amazing? I was born in this country but I didn't grow up here.
"That is amazing. And I don't understand why people want to ignore all of the good things and only focus on the bad things and use the bad things to tell the story."

Shouldnā€™t she be screaming Black Lives Matter at a grievance fest in London or somewhere, pretending that sheā€˜s changing things. Instead of in the cabinet actually changing things. Jeez Kemi read Twitter! Youā€™re doing this all wrong.

I didn't see all of the debate tonight, was anything said about the massive debt bubble we are presiding over now or are we just ignoring it til it bursts? Credit has been shockingly deregulated since the financial crash, unbelievable that Klarna and their competitors only had to start reporting accounts to credit agencies last month.

Or the first BAME PM if Sunak wins.

But anyway, isnā€™t one of those three Labour PMs, Blair, now considered a Red Tory? Does he count?

šŸ˜ž this government just gets worse. I would like to say things would improve once Boris is replaced but I wonā€™t hold my breath. Kemi would be the best out of the bunch I think ?

I just hope labour can get their act together šŸ¤žšŸ»

Well to be fair, since Thatcher got into power Labour have only had two prime ministers whilst the Tories are now heading towards their sixth

Penny seems weirdly decent so what evil things has she done in the past?

The climate denial thing is worrying but it's not like anyone seems to have good policies on that or follow through with them tbh

They have never even had a female leader of the opposition. Really, when the religious nutjobs of the DUP have a female leader before you, you need to take a look at yourself as a party. Especially when, as you point out, choosing white men has worked out to be so ineffective they have hardly been in power in the last 40 years.

Liz said borrow more, Rishi said something about being responsible, Kemi said there's no magic money tree.

After last night I just want Theresa May back, not that I'm a fan of her's at all and she's said lots that I disagree with.

This is why I think Mordaunt had some momentum, like Biden in the US people just want a candidate who will calm the political new cycle as they are sick of the constant uproar and turmoil. A boring PM brings that.

Was Corbyn any more anti-Semetic than Boris, JRM? It's hard to measure such a thing I suppose but for all the accusations (rightly or wrongly) about anti-Semitism in the Labour party under Corbyn there seemed to less uproar about seemingly sustained and historical evidence of anti-semitism in the Conservative party, from it's inception to the present day.
